Is The Bachelor racist?

Nathaniel Claybrooks, 39, and Christopher Johnson, 26, think so.  Both are African-American former college football players, and think so!  Claybrooks and Johnson answered an open casting call for The Bachelor in Nashville last August. According to People,  they were rushed through the audition process, while witnessing other (whiter!) applicants getting far more attention.

The lawsuit alleges that ABC “knowingly, intentionally and as a matter of corporate policy refused to cast people of color in the role of the Bachelor and Bachelorette.”

ABC responds by saying, “we have had various participants of color throughout the series’ history…as always, we continue to seek out participants of color for both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.”

Hmmm….I’ve watched many seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette and definitely noticed some whitewashing going on.  I’m all for this lawsuit diversifying the show- let’s see a Bachelor or Bachelorette of color!

And nobody thought it would last?

Former Bachelor Ben Flajnik has moved his chosen lady Courtney Robertson in with him.

As revealed in exclusive snapshots in Us Weekly, Santa-Monica-based model Robertson, 28, moved 380 miles upstate earlier this month — unloading a U-Haul on March 17 into the San Francisco home winemaker Flajnik, 29, shares with two roommates.

And this arrangement is just temporary, an insider says. Arguably one the most controversial Bachelor couples ever, the reconciled, engaged duo is eager to find a place of their own. “They want to get settled in as soon as possible,” the insider says.

Their reunion began March 15, when Flajnik picked up his fiance at the airport; she quickly joined him at the bar Final Final to watch college basketball.

“It was very low-key, as if they had been married for years,” an insider told Us of the couple. It’s a definite shift for Robertson, notoriously catty during her run on The Bachelor, and for Flajnik, who was caught cheating with 3 different women just last month. Roberson — wearing her 3-carat Neil Lane engagement ring — was also spotted taking her fiance’s Jack Russell terrier, Scotch, out for several solo walks.

I actually think these two belong together and may have a chance at making it work.  They just seem like they fit personality wise.

The Bachelor’s bad girl, Courtney Roberson, 28, was all smiles as see paid a visit to Mark Zunino’s bridal salon in Los Angeles.  She tried on multiple gowns while visitng the bridal shop.

“She loved the dress and was admiring herself from every angle in the mirrors,” an eyewitness says of the controversial model, who is the finalist against sweet Lindzi Cox for the final rose from Ben Flajnik. “She was doing a little dance [in the dress] and had a big smile on her face. The people in the store definitely seemed to be encouraging her to get it.”

Is America’s sweetheart returning to TV?

According to Life & Style, Emily Maynard will be the next star of The Bachelorette — and ABC is coming to her.

“It’s official, Emily is the new Bachelorette,” an insider close to Emily tells Life & Style. “ABC is even going to move filming to Charlotte [North Carolina, Emily’s hometown]. It won’t be in LA at all.”

Life & Style first reported that ABC approached the blond beauty to star in the next season of the series.

But she had fans convinced she wasn’t interested. Just last summer she tweeted: “I don’t want to be the Bachelorette.”

Since splitting with The Bachelor’s Brad Womack in May after becoming engaged to him in March, the North Carolina mom has been linked to Carolina Panthers tight end Jeremy Shockey and Most Eligible Dallas star Matt Nordgren, whom Emily has denied dating.

I like the idea of having Emily as the Bachelorette – but I’m having a hard time buying it. If she is going to do it, she’s not going to be the greatest. She’s so shy and quiet! How is she going to handle the pressure of being in the middle of all those men!?

Looks like Jennifer Love Hewitt missed her chance!

Ben Flajnik might have gotten his heart broken by Bachelorette Ashley Hebert, but the 28-year-old Sonoma winemaker is getting a second chance at finding love on reality TV! A source confirms to the new Us Weekly — on stands now – - that Flajnik is the next star of The Bachelor.

Though ABC has yet to announce its choice, another insider tells Us that Flajnik’s popularity with fans made him the top pick. “They think he’ll be ratings gold,” says the insider.. “His [August 6] date with Jennifer Love Hewitt was icing on the cake!

I do not understand this casting AT ALL. I think out of all the Bachelor’s on Ashley’s season, Ben was one of my least favorites. I didn’t like him at all! I’m not a fan of this news…

I wish they’d go back to picking people we don’t know… this recycled Bachelor’s and Bachelorette business is getting old. When was the last time they picked an original Bach or Bach’ette?

Remember this season when several of the Bachelor’s joked that they wished Emily was the Bachelorette instead of the highly annoying Ashley? Looks like they chose the wrong season to sign up, because rumor has it Emily is in talks to be the next Bachelorette!

Brad Womack’s Bachelor ex, 25, is angling to become the next star of ABC’s spin-off series, The Bachelorette — less than a month from splitting from Womack, 38.

“She hasn’t officially signed on yet, but it looks like a done deal,” a source tells the new issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands Wednesday.

Though the single mom to 6-year-old Ricki has said appearing on the series was “the last thing on my mind,” the insider tells Us Maynard wants to use her stint on the show to jump-start a broadcast career. “She wants to be famous,” the source says of the aspiring TV host.

In addition to boosting her profile, Maynard seems eager to move on from Womack.

“He has issues, and you could tell from the start that it was never going to work with Emily,” another insider says. Still, Maynard tried her best, a pal confirms to Us: “She gave it everything she had.”

I would totally watch a season of The Bachelorette with Emily. I’m finding Ashley so incredibly annoying I have to fast forward half the show. (You may ask why I even bother watching, but I feel I have some sort of sickness that makes me tune in every week.)

After ABC’s contract expired months of speculation following their fake engagement on The Bachelor season finale last March, Emily Maynard and Brad Womack have decided to call it quits. Or as I like to call it: Emily and Brad are finally allowed by ABC to tell people they’re no longer together.

“We’re no longer engaged,” a teary-eyed Maynard told PEOPLE minutes after taping an intimate interview with Bachelor host Chris Harrison, for a segment scheduled to air during the July 11 episode of ABC’s The Bachelorette.

Hounded by paparazzi and dogged by relentless tabloid rumors, the Charlotte, N.C., single mom, 25, decided to break her silence about the status of her and Womack’s relationship. By doing so, she hopes to put an end to “all the media speculation” so that she and her 6-year-old daughter, Ricki, “can move on and get back to normal.”

Womack, 38, declined to participate in the on-camera interview with Maynard. He tells PEOPLE in an exclusive statement that “the demise of our relationship was completely my fault.”

But Maynard disagrees, saying that while there’s still an immense amount of love between the pair, “just because we love each other doesn’t mean we’re right for each other.”

ABC must make them sign a contract to “appear” together for a certain amount of time before announcing their separation. If I had the time, I’d go back and see how long these Bachelor couples stay together on average.  Can’t be long!

I wish they would have broken up sooner so Emily could have been this season’s Bachelorette instead of Ashley. Ashley might top Ali as the most annoying Bachelorette in history!
