Actress Teri Hatcher has been baking tasty treats for her pal Felicity Huffman on the set of Desperate Housewives.

The 43-year-old star recalls how Huffman persuaded her to bake a cake – but cheekily took the credit it for it after presenting it to her husband, actor William H. Macy. She says, “I made Felicity a pie. For some reason, she had to have a pie. And I was like, ‘I’ll make it’. “She e-mailed me afterwards and said, ‘Bill loved it. I didn’t’ tell him who made it – I took credit, and the brownie points are going to last me a year. Thank you very much.’

A Los Angeles judge has ruled that the lawsuit against Teri Hatcher from a lip-plumper company, should be settled in arbitration, instead of a court of law.

In its Superior Court lawsuit filed in December, cosmetics company Hydroderm accused the actress, 43, of breaching their 2005 “exclusive endorsement deal” when she sang the praises of rival City Cosmetics.

The Desperate Housewives star even posed for pictures applying CityLips pout plumper (a direct competitor to Hydroderm’s Volumizing Lip Serum), the $2.8 million suit alleged.

“Hatcher’s name, image and likeness have been linked to so many competitors’ products,” according to the suit, “that it is anyone’s guess as to what product keeps her skin and lips youthful.”

Hatcher responded to the claim by insisting she has “done absolutely nothing wrong.”

In her ruling Monday, Judge Helen I. Bendix said that both Hatcher and Hydroderm are bound by a prior agreement to arbitrate all of the company’s claims rather than litigate them in court, the Associated Press reports.

Hatcher’s attorney Alan Wertheimer has labeled the suit an “unjustified and public assault on Teri Hatcher’s good name, reputation and celebrity.”

He further stated that Hatcher’s contract with Hydroderm did not affect her previous arrangement with CityLips.

The WGA strike may have halted production on Desperate Housewives, but stars Marcia Cross & Teri Hatcher stay busy stuffing FEED gift bags for the show’s cast & crew in Burbank, CA, on Monday. Proceeds from the sale of the bags benefit the World Food Program.

An L.A. judge on Thursday called claims made in a lawsuit by skin care maker Hydroderm against Teri Hatcher “character assassination” of the “worst kind” and has delayed the company’s motion to start depositions in the case.

Hydroderm sued Hatcher Tuesday, claiming she has endorsed a competing lip-plumping cream and thus owed them the $2.4 million that they had paid her to exclusively promote their products. The company alleges that Hatcher, 42, promoted City Cosmetics’ lip-enhancing product in violation of their agreement.

In a statement released Wednesday, Hatcher denied any wrongdoing. “The allegations of this lawsuit are totally false and completely without merit,” she said.

Hatcher’s attorneys argue that the Desperate Housewives star has not breached her endorsement agreement, stating in court papers: “Ms. Hatcher has not entered into any agreement with any other cosmetic or skincare companies … Ms. Hatcher has done absolutely nothing wrong and has been ready, willing, able and eager to perform.”

In denying Hydroderm’s motion to proceed with discovery, L.A. Superior Court Judge Helen Bendix said that the insinuations raised in court by Hydroderm about Ms. Hatcher were “character assassination” of the “worst kind.”

Desperate Housewife Teri Hatcher is being sued! A suit was filed against the star in Los Angeles today by a cosmetics company named Hydroderm. The suit is on a basis that there was a breach of contract.

According to a spokesperson, Teri was the endorser of some of the companies cosmetics and anti aging skin care since 2005. The company has a right to use her image, likeliness, voice, signature, video of the actress, etc. in order to sell and promote their cosmetics line and Terri would not use the same in order to promote any of their competitors. However, Teri was seen promoting a lip-plumper by City Cosmetics, a direct competitor to Hydroderm, in which resulted in a  breached of her contract with Hydroderm.

Unlike her on-screen alter ego Susan Mayer, “Desperate Housewife” Teri Hatcher has yet to find her true love. Teri has been married twice before, first to Marcus Leithold (1988 – 1989) and also to the father of her daughter, Emerson, John Tenney (1994-2003).
