Taylor Swift pens romantic love songs that have set many tweens hearts on fire, and when the 21-year-old pop country star was asked how she comes up with inspiration behind of her favorite hits, she answered just as fluffy as you would think.
“Usually songs hit me in the middle of the night and I end up writing [them] before dawn, so there’s no time to call somebody.”
“Writing my own songs was a way for me to create what I wanted to create and music about my life.”
“In that way it kind of became a diary put to music every time I put out a new record.”
Taylor Swift was crowned artist of the year at the American Music Awards for a second time.
“This is so crazy!” the country superstar said after beat such contenders as Adele, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry to capture all three awards that she was nominated for at Sunday’s ceremony, including artist of the year, the show’s highest accolade that she previously claimed in 2009.
“I ended up writing the record by myself, so the fact that you would honor it this way, you have no idea what this means to me,” said Swift after winning the trophy for favorite country album for “Speak Now.” She was also awarded the prize for favorite country female artist.

Taylor Swift has been named “Woman of the Year” by Billboard magazine.
The 21-year-old multiplatinum singer is the youngest to receive the award. Previous winners include Beyonce and Fergie.
She will be honored at the 2011 Billboard Women in Music event in New York on Dec. 2.
Her latest album, “Speak Now,” has sold over 3.6 million copies since its release last fall, and she’s sold the most albums of any artist over the past year.
It’s the latest honor for Swift, who became the youngest person to win the Grammy for best album for “Fearless” in 2010. She has also won several ACM, CMA and AMA awards.
Swift is currently on a national tour.
