The 2013 Billboard Music Awards show aired last night, live from Las Vegas! Taylor Swift was the major winner of the night, taking home eight awards in the following categories: Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Digital Songs Artist, Top Country Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Country Album and Top Country Song.

Following closely behind, Rihanna and Gotye won four awards each. Rihanna claimed Top Radio Songs Artist, Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Album and Top R&B Song. The partnership between Gotye and Kimbra on the hit, “Somebody That I Used To Know,” won the pair Top Hot 100 Song, Top Radio Song, Top Streaming Song (Audio) and Top Rock Song. (I don’t get the Gotye thing. Sure it was a great song, but isn’t he a 1-hit-wonder?)

One Direction, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj and Madonna each won 3 Billboard Music Awards, while Jenni Rivera, Baauer and tobyMac took home 2 each. In addition, Maroon 5, fun., Carly Rae Jepsen, David Guetta, PSY, Adele, Mumford & Sons, Skrillex, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis with Wanz, Matt Redman and Michel Telo each took home one.

During the broadcast, special honors were given to Madonna as Top Touring Artist for her 2012 MDNA tour and Prince, who was recognized with the Billboard Icon Award, highlighting his unique journey and history of groundbreaking accomplishments in the music industry.

Some of the night’s hit songs that took home multiple wins included “Somebody That I Used To Know” by Gotye featuring Kimbra, “Harlem Shake” by Baauer and “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen.

Probably one of my favorite annual celebrity parties is the Met Gala. I LOVE it. If you follow me on Facebook – you probably noticed that last night (if you’re not, then shame on you – you’re missing the fun!)

Every year, Anna Wintour picks a theme for the Gala, and this year the theme went punk! “PUNK: Chaos To Couture” Costume Institute Gala was held at the MET Museum in New York City last night.

Above we have Beyonce, who showed up in head-to-toe Givenchy (who seems like the hot designer last night!). What do you think of her look? Too matchy-matchy?

Kristen Stewart wore a pantsuit by Stella McCartney. I think it could be really beautiful, if it didn’t look like she was rocking a bad case of moose knuckles. (Her makeup is HOT, though.)

Miley Cyrus certainly ran with the theme! She wore a mesh gown by Marc Jacobs, and that hair! Wow!

Of course everyone was talking about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. The couple both wore outfits by Givenchy. Most of my fans on Facebook commented that Kim looks like a couch, and that’s probably one of the nicer things to say. Yes, she’s wearing gloves in the same fabric as her dress. There is nothing punk about her look, either.

EVERYONE was shocked to see Anne Hathaway’s red carpet look! She wore a see-through vintage Valentino gown from 1992, but everyone was shocked by her now-platinum hair! What do you think of her look?

Katy Perry went regal with the help of Dolce & Gabbana. She looks great, very cool. Again, not punk – but still – she looks hot!

In an interview with Wonderland Magazine, Miss Taylor Swift seems refreshingly open to the idea of breakups, makeups and being single.  The star speaks on the idea of not having her Romeo anytime soon, or EVER:

“I mean, I know where I’ll be on tour in two months, but no idea where I’m going to be mentally, emotionally, dreams, goals, wishes, hopes,” she tells Wonderland magazine in its latest issue’s cover story. “I have no idea if I’m going to get married or be single forever or have a family or just be on my own. You know, paint in a cottage by the ocean by myself. I just have no idea and I’m kind of into that.”

When the star IS in relationships (and there have been quite a few) the aftermath of the split is something she calls “very complex.” Swift, whose exes include Harry Styles, John Mayer and Conor Kennedy, breaks it down for Wonderland:

“You’re never feeling just sad. Maybe you wake up and you feel sad, and then you get angry, and then you feel like, ‘I’m fine,’ and then you feel confident, and then you feel a sense of doubt, and then you’re insecure, and then there’s jealousy, and then you’re back to sad – and then you feel fine again.”

Though that’s life, it still sounds a little wearing, especially hearing it from such a successful person. Though I find Taylor Swift pretty obnoxious at times (especially in terms of her dating life) I still think she deserves to find love. That’s part of growing up, right? Dating and making some very big mistakes (John Mayer, cough cough) and learning from said mistakes!

Uh oh…more dudes in Taylor Swift‘s life? Sounds like TROUBLE TROUBLE TROUBLE!

Taylor was caught leaving her New York hotel earlier today with this DASHING MYSTERY MAN!  So…who is he? Is he just keeping her company during her three-day Red Tour stint in New Jersey, or is he her new lovah!? Stylist? Assistant?

Rumor has it, Taylor Swift been leaning on ex Conor Kennedy for support lately!

The star has done a lot of touring, performing at awards shows and dealing with her very public breakup with Harry Styles, and who is she turning to for a little TLC? Why, none other than Kennedy royalty!

PerezHilton reports an insider saying:

“Conor has been a real source of comfort to Taylor recently. She is suffering from crippling loneliness. They get on really well, but it was just a fleeting romance. She loves that he listens to her worries and he has been a real crutch. He’s the most down-to-earth person she’s dated.”

So? Do you think she’ll open up that can of worms again? Or are they just keeping it in the friend zone? Only time will tell, I suppose…

Rumor has it, Taylor Swift has a new man in her life. Everyone around her is denying it, but with that said – they always deny. So who is this lucky guy? His name is John John Florence, and he’s not 18! (Is that all we need to know?). Taylor certainly has a thing for younger men, although he’s not as young as she’s been going for lately (which was barely-legal). John John is 20 to her 23. Not bad.

He’s a pro surfer, and looks it, doesn’t he? He’s got that all-American-surfer-boy look.

It doesn’t sound like Taylor Swift is angling to catch a wave with John John Florence. Rumor has it that the 23-year-old singer recently initiated contact with rather adorable 20-year-old pro surfer and that the pair have been growing closer via text message ever since. Or not.

Sources assure E! News that “there is no truth to this at all,” and that “Taylor is not dating—or texting—this guy.”

She could do worse than the Hawaiian-born Florence, who won the Vans World Cup of Surfing in 2011, but it does seem far-fetched that she’d be embarking on such a thing at this time.

Swift is on her way to Charlotte, N.C., having just kicked off her Red Tour last week. And, last we checked, that’s a long way from Hawaii.

The romantic tale appears to have been spurred on by Florence’s response when an Australian TV reporter asked him two weeks ago during a surfing event in Queensland if he could provide some insight into “a little bit of something” she had heard about him and Swift.

“Yeah, you know, it’s kind of a secret thing going on right now,” he replied, smiling. “Can’t bust it out in the public just yet.”

What do you think? Would they make a cute couple? I get why Taylor wouldn’t admit to dating anyone. Whenever she does, she really does get crucified for it. She can’t have a normal relationship anymore. With that said – it’s TOTALLY her fault. Everytime she has a relationship, she’s the one who writes a song about her ex, leaving the whole world (yes, the whole world) to try and figure out who the song is about. She totally deserves the grief.

Taylor Swift was spotted in Los Angeles over the weekend jumping on a trampoline during a video shoot!

The 23-year-old who just debuted her music video for “22″ on “Good Morning America”, was spotted filming a commercial for Keds, for whom she’s the spokeswoman.

The “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer recently opened up about her wardrobe choices, saying she’s criticized a lot more for her style statements than other stars in the music business.

“Being 23, it’s fun to kind of play around with your style, it’s fun to edge it up sometimes,” she explained in a new teaser video for her Diet Coke partnership, adding, “I find it hilarious when I’m going to an award show, and I’m wearing shorts for a performance, and the next day the headlines are like ‘Taylor goes edgy for her performance!’ I’m like, ‘I’m wearing more clothes than anyone here!’”
