Woody Allen Doesn’t Have A New Friend In Susan Sarandon, That’s For Sure.

Susan Sarandon is not dating Jake Gyllenhaal

Woody Allen has had a pretty okay time at Cannes via his molestation charges…until now.

Sure, some reporter made a non-joke about rape, but overall Woody Allen hasn’t really had to confront anything regarding his molestation charges. In fact, some of his actors even defended the guy. Well, Susan Sarandon is HAVING NONE OF IT. She slammed the actor at Cannes yesterday, and it’s pretty upfront:

“I think he sexually assaulted a child and I don’t think that’s right,” Sarandon said during Variety and Kering’s Women in Motion talk with Geena Davis. “I have nothing good to say about him,” she added. “I don’t want to go there.”

I mean, WOAH. The difference between Blake Lively defending Woody and a Hollywood institution like Susan Sarandon condemning him is huge. And, I applaud her.

Sarandon and Davis also briefly touched upon some other sad things: the lack of strong roles for women in studio films and the lack of directing opportunities for women. The actresses, who memorably starred in 1991’s “Thelma & Louise,” said that everyone predicted that the film would spur a new wave of projects about female friendship. But that never happened.

“The movie made a lot of money and that didn’t happen,” said Sarandon.

Davis expressed hope that things could improve.

“The thing about film is it can change overnight,” said Davis. “The next film somebody makes can be gender balanced.”

Here’s How Susan Sarandon Feels About Breastfeeding

Susan Sarandon Promotes Soda Stream

Just in case you had a BURNING NEED to know how Susan Sarandon feels about breastfeeding…

The actress weighed in during a Q&A after a MOMS-hosted special screening of her new film The Meddler, in which she plays Rose Byrne‘s overbearing mother:

“Nursing can be really, really challenging. I was very lucky in terms of nursing, but every baby doesn’t respond the same way, and then you get mastitis and it hurts if you choose to nurse — not everybody does. And then the relationship with the pump really becomes a nightmare.”

Sarandon, a mother of three – daughter Eva Amurri Martino, 31, and sons Miles, 23, and Jack Henry Robbins, 26 — also shared her own experiences with nursing.

“The first time, I had a [breast pump] unit in my house that looked like an iron lung that I had to rent from Bigelow’s because they were the only ones that had it,” the actress said. “This was 30 years ago.”

Sarandon also advised soon-to-be mothers:

“What I always tell any woman who’s telling me they’re thinking of having a baby is that no matter how involved or well-intentioned your baby daddy or husband is, it is up to you in the beginning. That’s the way it’s designed, there’s just no getting around that.”

She continued, “Try to have the best time you can with the birth and everything else because it’s a pretty crazy, sci-fi adventure, and try not to think you have to be perfect.”

Ya hear, moms?

Susan Sarandon And Debra Messing Are In A Serious Twitter Beef

2nd Annual "Beyond Hunger: A Place At the Table" Event in LA

It’s the political battle of the redheads, Y’ALL!

Susan Sarandon and Debra Messing are in a straight up “who’s the most liberal” Twitter war, and it got UGLY. The whole thing began when Sarandon did an interview on Chris Hayes’ MSNBC show, All In. Here’s the exchange that got the controversy-ball rolling:

SARANDON: I think Bernie would probably encourage people to [support Hillary if he loses] because he doesn’t have any ego in this thing. But I think a lot of people are, ‘sorry, I just can’t bring myself to [vote for Hillary].’

HAYES: How about you personally?

SARANDON: I don’t know. I’m going to see what happens.

HAYES: Really?

SARANDON: Really. It’s dangerous to think we can continue the way we are with the militarized police force, with the death penalty and the low minimum wage and threats to women’s rights and think you can’t do something huge to turn that around. The country is not in good shape if you’re in the middle class. It’s disappearing.

A lot of people thought Sarandon was coming close to saying Democrats, liberals and progressives should stay home from the polls if Hillary Clinton gets the nomination. Sarandon was widely criticized for her “blind privilege,” by the likes of Jamie Lee Curtis and even more aggressively, Debra Messing:

Oof. After that, a frenzy of tweets, that you can see on Susan’s Twitter feed here and Debra’s feed here.

The fact of the matter is that Susan is not advocating voting for anyone other than Bernie Sanders, even if Clinton gets the nomination. And it’s a tough place to be considering the repubs looking for nominations are the truly cringe-worthy Donald Trump or Ted Cruz.

What do YOU Think about this feud?!

Susan Sarandon’s Daughter Got Into Her Own Nanny Scandal

TAMMY Prmieres in LA

Wow, I wouldn’t want to be a nanny in this day in age…or WOULD I?!

Susan Sarandon’s daughter, “Undateable” star and self-described “full-time Blogger” Eva Amurri, found her husband sports analyst Kyle Martino, in a bit of a nanny pickle.

On Monday, Eva, 30, revealed on her blog, Happily Eva After, that while she was on a flight home from an NYC business trip, her nanny sent Kyle a racy text purportedly meant for someone else.

It read, in full: “OMG. Girl, did I mention to you how hot and sex my Boss is. I would love to f–k his brains out ha haah. Too bad he seems not to like thick Latin women with lots to hold on to LOL.”

Kyle, Eva writes, “was so confused, but figured in two seconds another text would come through from her with a million apologies, telling him she was so embarrassed…or something!”

Needless to say, she was CANNED.  In fact, Kyle arrived home from breakfast with their one-year-old daughter, Marlowe, only to find the nanny “peeking out of the curtains OF THEIR BEDROOM WINDOW.” To which Eva realized that the “Mistake” text was all about strategy:

By that point, it apparently became clear that the nanny had sent Kyle the text on purpose, “to test the proverbial waters with my husband and give her an opportunity later, when alone, to bring up a sexy dialogue with him.”

That day, Kyle confronted the nanny and fired her, citing her text and saying, “Well… needless to say, it’s not the type of environment I want in the house with you taking care of our daughter.”

But wait, there’s more…he also recorded the encounter on an iPhone, to protect himself from anything “she would try to make up or twist after the fact,” Eva explains.

As of now, Eva and Kyle are still nanny-less, and know what? It’s probably for the best. If I were Eva I would be screening nannies like WOAH, because…how WEIRD.

What do you think of Eva’s odd nanny story?
