Sponsored Post: Helix returns to Syfy tomorrow night!

helix1

Are you a fan of Helix on Syfy?  I’ve seen the first season – and I cannot WAIT for the second season! I haven’t watched many shows on Syfy, but this one had me hooked! I’m not going to lie, the reason I tuned in was because Billy Campbell stars in it. I have a pretty decent crush on Billy Campbell. I am also kind of in love with Steven Weber, who also stars in Helix. Rounding the cast is the stunning female lead, Kyra Zagorsky. The show gets you hooked from the first episode! In case you haven’t watched the first season – you’re not far behind! It’s the kind of show you can definitely pick up at Season 2!

Did you watch season 1? Were you one of the 18 million who watched the critically acclaimed first season? I don’t want to give too much away about the first season, so here’s a small recap!

In case you’ve missed the first season:

Centers for Disease Control scientists Drs. Alan Farragut and Julia Walker, who used to be married, have seen their share of disease outbreaks in their time with the agency. But they have not experienced anything like what they see at high-tech research facility Arctic BioSystems. When the two lead the rapid response team that investigates a possible disease outbreak at Arctic, they enter a life-and-death struggle that has more to it than a standard outbreak. They discover that the lethal threat is just the tip of the iceberg and the truth unravels as the virus evolves. In the end, the battle could hold the key to mankind’s salvation … or total annihilation.

So what happens in season 2!? What is going on!?

I have it on good authority that we can expect the following from season 2:

– GMOs (playing god and changing nature without understanding the consequences)
– We are what we eat, but we don’t know what we’re eating or what effect it will have on us
– Farms are the new laboratories: Farms as Pharma. How far is too far?
– Cults
– The secretive nature of fanatical societies
– Intoxicating effect of power and dangerous things people do when they feel righteous
– Dangers of blindly following someone down dark paths/being a pawn in someone else’s game

Helix Season 2 airs Fridays at 10pm, premiering January 16th

DON’T MISS OUT!

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Syfy, but the opinions here are 100% my own.
