Heidi Pratt — who called the cops on her mother Darlene Egelhoff Thursday — isn’t the only Hills star clashing with her family.
Her husband Spencer also has distanced himself from his family, reports the new Us Weekly (on newsstands now).
He is estranged from younger sister Stephanie and doesn’t speak to his folks because “he felt his parents would talk to him only about Stephanie and that they charged him with taking care of her,” an insider tells Us Weekly. “He thinks she’s a loser and doesn’t want anything to do with her.”
Apparently, his parents have had it with him as well.
“They noticed him changing two years ago and stayed by his side. But now it’s too much,” a source tells Us Weekly. “They even took the pictures of him out of their home.”
Us Weekly reports Spencer, 26, and Heidi, 23, have become virtual shut-ins at their $7,000-a-month rented L.A house, which is filled with framed covers of magazines on which they’ve appeared. (See photos)
“No one ever visits,” a local tells Us, and the couple rarely leave. “Heidi sits and stares in the mirror, while Spencer plots and schemes on his projects all day,” adds a Pratt source. “He sits on the Internet, watches TV and tries to get press. That is all he does. It’s totally sick.”

WOW! Look at Heidi!
Brody Jenner thinks his former best friend Spencer Pratt has gone off the deep end.
“I actually think he’s kind of lost it a little bit,” Jenner, 26, said on the Kidd Kraddick in the Morning radio show Wednesday.
The new issue of Us Weekly reports Pratt, 26, has major rage issues. On the May 11 episode of The Hills, he had a violent outburst after Heidi’s sister Holly confronted him about a crude remark he made about their mother being “just a vagina.”
Said Jenner, “Lately, it’s hard for me — even as someone who used to be best friends with him — to see what’s real and what’s not as far as he goes… I see he wants attention.”
Jenner also said Pratt “got all crazy with those crystals,” on which Us Weekly has reported the Pratts have spent $400,000.
Us Weekly also reports that the couple are in “panic mode” about losing their source of income because neither has taped since Mid-April. (Spencer was suspended from the MTV hit after threatening to kill a producer; Heidi’s role was reduced after she objected to a faux-divorce story line.)
A source tells Us Weekly show creator Adam DiVello “said he doesn’t think Heidi and Spencer will come back for the series finale.”

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag appear to have an idyllic home life on The Hills. But now, for the first time, a frequent visitor to the couple’s house reveals the truth: that Heidi is being virtually held hostage there! “Heidi has been allowed to leave the house only three times in the last month,” the insider tells Life & Style. And Spencer’s even moved a guard into the house. “He’s let one of his new friends, a former Marine named Paul “Cougar” Zank, move in with them. He’s staying in the guest room,” a second insider says. “Heidi’s upset about it, but Spencer doesn’t care.”

The insider shares frightening never-before-seen photos of their actual home far from Hollywood in LA’s Pacific Palisades area. The kitchen and living room are filled with Spencer’s crystals, stacks of his screenplays and junk everywhere. “Their four dogs aren’t housebroken,” an insider tells Life & Style. “They go to the bathroom all over the house. Heidi is sometimes near tears at the dogs’ mess, but Spencer just orders her to pick it up.”
“It’s true, I do have a Marine in the house,” Spencer tells Life & Style. “He’s helping me write a script. And yes, we’ve been out of the house only three times this month, but that’s because I’m busy working on several business ventures.”

Spencer Pratt is wondering why Kate Hudson even got a boob job in the first place.
Days after Us Weekly reported that Hudson, 31, had a small breast augmentation, the actress showed off her new chest at Coachella over the weekend.
But the 26-year-old Pratt — whose wife Heidi now has a “E or F” bra size following her infamous 10 operations-in-a-day — isn’t impressed.

“How is it possible to get breast implants and still not have breasts,” he Twittered Monday. “Kate H – get ur money back…”
Referring to Dr. Frank Ryan (who performed Montag’s surgeries), Pratt then added, “I gotta guy who will hook you up!”
In another message, Pratt took aim at Robert Rey — a.k.a. Dr. 90210 — who tells UsMagazine.com that Montag, 23, is sending a bad message to girls for altering her appearance so drastically. Pratt says Dr. 90210 is a hypocrite because his daughter is “into plastic.”

Spencer Pratt, cyber crime fighter? Not so fast.
Contrary to a Monday report, the Hills star is not leaving his hit MTV show to work for the cyber security division at American Defense Enterprise, a source tells UsMagazine.com
“All of that stuff about him leaving The Hills to fight cyber crime is not true,” the insider insists.
The real story? “He is leaving The Hills for 6 weeks because he was asked to.”
The source explains that Pratt, 26, recently “flipped out” on the show’s set after a female producer made a request to which he objected.
“He got so crazy that he screamed at [her], ‘I should kill you for even asking me to do that!’” the source recounts.
“Very rattled” by Pratt’s outburst, the producer filed a complaint with the show’s top producers — who then threatened to kick Pratt off the show.
Pratt’s team went back with a compromise: “the show agreed that Spencer would leave The Hills for six weeks to do anger management training once a week at home. If he completes it, he can return to the show.”
It was recently announced that Pratt is no longer the manager for his wife, Heidi Montag. This week, Montag, 23, is set to film a cameo in her first feature film, Just Go With It, starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston.

Spencer Pratt made his name as the guy audiences loved to hate on “The Hills,” but now says he’s leaving the show to take his career in a totally new — and unexpected — direction.
“In the last few months I have discovered a new passion and new purpose to my life,” Pratt tells PEOPLE. “With this in mind, I have decided to take a break from my obligations to MTV’s “The Hills” and discontinue filming any more episodes for this current season.”
Currently studying software engineering with a focus on encryption at USC, Pratt says he’s headed to work for American Defense Enterprises in their cyber security division.
“Upon learning of President Obama’s declaration that the ‘cyber threat is one of the most serious economic and national security challenges we face as a nation,’ I have decided to refocus my energy and devote my full resources to helping America face this and other unprecedented challenges,” he says.
“My new mission is this: To do my part in maintaining the technological superiority of the U.S. military and prevent emerging technologies from threatening our nation’s security.
“With that being said, I am saddened to take this break from filming MTV’s “The Hills.” At this time, however I feel I would not be honoring my country or myself if I were to continue this endeavor when I have the opportunity and the ability to assist our nation against these prevalent threats.”
Pratt’s wife, Heidi Montag, will remain on the show. Last week she announced that Pratt would no longer be her manager, and instead she hired a Malibu-based psychic named Aiden Chase.
