Surprise! It looks like Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt can’t handle reality. The couple tried to quit I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! the very first day they arrived in Costa Rica to shoot the “C-Listers in distress” reality show, which premieres Monday.

“They wanted to be treated like stars. [Spencer] literally thought he and Heidi were staying in a Four Seasons, working out and getting a tan.”

The two refused to eat the same food as the rest of the cast, and complained about being teamed with low-wattage stars, among them Janice Dickinson, Stephen Baldwin, Lou Diamond Phillips, former NBA star John Salley and Sanjaya Malakar.

“I wish they got some real celebrities like K-Fed,” groused Montag, per the network insider.

The last star standing will receive a major cash donation to his or her favorite charity. Life & Style caught up with Spencer and Heidi, who didn’t exactly see eye to eye about what they’d be willing to endure!

Spencer: Do they have teeth? If they had no teeth, I’d do it.

Heidi: Spencer, they can still kill you without teeth.

Spencer: No, they have soft gums like old people. So no teeth, yes. If they have teeth, no.

Would you make out with co-star Janice Dickinson?

Spencer: No, the repercussions from Heidi would be death.

Heidi: Till death do us part, buddy!

Would you kiss Lauren Conrad’s feet?

Heidi: To win? Sure, I’d do it.

Spencer: Absolutely. I can’t lose at anything!

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt film two new videos. The happy ‘Hills’ couple are preparing to enter the jungle next week for the reality show ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here’. Dressed in their best bushmaster gear, they both filmed a comical video where they ate Pizza Hut pizza instead of their jungle rations. At one point Heidi was startled by a snake next to her feet. Then Spencer filmed a video for his new rap single. In between takes the duo got acquainted with some exotic animals including a chameleon and an iguana. Heidi was even brave enough to pick up a scorpian – all good training for their jungle adventures.

This might put a damper on Spencer’s plans to star in ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here”: Show producers sent the reality TV star to a Los Angeles hospital after a routine medical turned up problems with Spencer’s blood.

On Thursday (21May09) Pratt wrote on his Twitter.com blog, “The doctor just woke me up with a call saying I need to go to the hospital because the test I took show signs of low blood platelets!”

Pratt is preparing to head into the Costa Rica jungle for the endurance show, alongside wife Heidi Montag, Britney Spears’ ex Kevin Federline, Stephen Baldwin, Janice Dickinson and Lou Diamond Phillips.

Bad news for Spencer Pratt fans out there who had been hoping to see the newlywed Hills star head to the jungle with wife Heidi Montag for the new NBC reality competition I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! — looks like Spence had to go to the hospital today when the show’s doctors had some issues with his bloodwork.

Earlier today, Spencer did what all celebrities do when they have a medical issue — he went to his Twitter page to tweet about his unpleasant wake-up call this morning.

“the doctor just woke me up with a call saying i need to go to the hospital because the test i took show signs of low blood platelets!” He wrote before heading out to the hospital.

But have no fear, Speidi-fans, S.Pratt updated recently, writing, “@ the Doctors Office about to get my 6th SHOT for the COSTA RICAN JUNGLE” He added that he is now “armed and ready” to start I’m a Celebrity…, which is set to premiere on NBC on June 1.
