From club openings to late-night talk shows, to their own reality TV show to staged photo shoots every other day, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are everywhere.
Now The Hills‘ gruesome twosome is looking to add a few acting roles to their annoying resume. That’s right, Team Speidi is looking to be on more TV.
A reliable source says one of TV’s more consistently funny sitcoms – one also prone to stunt casting (see Spears, Britney) – is close to granting their wish.
Supposedly, Heidi Montag and her manager/fiance are angling to guest star in an upcoming How I Met Your Mother episode, which would likely air in December.

Do they make you want a taco?

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have gotten so famous, they’ve eclipsed megastar Tom Cruise — at his favorite restaurant!
The wall at Wolfgang Puck’s Beverly Hills eatery, CUT, features celebrity portraits by photographer Martin Schoeller, and while frequent patron Tom isn’t pictured, the Hills pair now is.
“It’s up to the artist, but we all agree it’s weird that Tom isn’t up there,” a restaurant insider admits to In Touch. “He loves it here and to have those two picked over Tom is ridiculous.”
But the pair is humble about their status in the spotlight. “We are flattered to be mentioned in the same company as an industry icon like Tom Cruise,” Spencer tells In Touch.
Portraits of Heidi, 22, and Spencer, 25, join those of George Clooney and Brad Pitt on display at CUT.

Do you think that Spencer is really that big of an ass – or is he just putting on a show? I could NOT believe what he was saying to Heidi’s mom! (Above picture obviously not from last night’s episode!)
On Monday’s show, Darlene pays a visit to Heidi.
Shocked to learn that Heidi and Spencer are living together again, she takes Spencer to lunch to see if the move is wise.
She first thanks him for letting Heidi’s sister, Holly, stay with them as she looks for a job.
But the meal turns sour when Spencer tells Darlene that Holly has ulterior motives: “Her intention is to get me out of living there so she can live with Heidi!”
Darlene replies, “Well, maybe that’s not such a bad idea.”
“What planet are you living on?” Spencer snaps. “That’s a horrible idea!”
Dismayed, Darlene tells Spencer, “I think you’re very controlling and manipulative. I think you’re condescending, rude and very hostile right now.”
Darlene later breaks down while recounting the events to Heidi.
Of Spencer, Darlene says, “Maybe he doesn’t want you to be as close to the family. Maybe I’m being controlling, but it’s hard for me. I don’t want to lose you. I just want to see you happy.”
Heidi gives her a glazed look … to be continued.
Meanwhile, Lauren has her share of drama as she confronts Spencer’s sister Stephanie about going on a dinner date with her ex, Doug.
Stephanie puts the blame on Doug, naturally.
“He was totally just using me to get back at you. Yeah, I deleted him from my phone, and I got like missed calls from him. I’m not going to call him back, obviously,” Stephanie tells Lauren.
When confronted about the date, Doug insists Stephanie blew things out of proportion.
He shows bud Brody texts from Stephanie asking him to come to her house late at night to watch movies. “Bottom line, I wanted to be friends with her,” Doug claims.
When Stephanie later shows up at Doug’s pool party, Brody grills Stephanie about being shady – a claim he has been making all season.
“I was right all along about you … don’t pretend to be innocent when you’re not,” he says before Stephanie storms off.
Doug gets miffed when he hears about the exchange. “I can’t believe this is an issue!” he exclaims.
At the end of the episode, Lauren and Stephanie hash it out once again.
“You and Doug shouldn’t have done what you’ve done, but whatever, it’s over,” Lauren tells a teary-eyed Stephanie.
“I’m sorry,” Stephanie offers.
Lauren walks again, not fully convinced she can trust Stephanie again.
