Shia LaBeouf is recovering nicely from his car crash last month, says his Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen co-star Isabel Lucas, who was with him at the time of the accident.
“We’re both fine, and Shia’s fine as well,” she tells Access Hollywood. “His hand is healing well.”
LaBeouf, 22, and Lucas, 23, were involved in a collision with another vehicle in Hollywood July 27. (Police said LaBeouf, who was cited for misdemeanor DUI, was not at fault; the other driver apparently ran a red light.)
Lucas was not injured during the crash, but LaBeouf was forced to undergo extensive surgery to his left hand. (The injury is being written into the Transformers sequel, which begins shooting shortly.)
It had been reported that LaBeouf might have to have his pinky amputated, but his rep tells Usmagazine.com that report is untrue.

Shia LaBeouf is convinced he’s unlucky with women – because he’s not a typical Hollywood playboy.
The Transformers star, 22, admits he’s become a hit with the ladies since his sudden rise to fame with roles in a series of box office smashes this summer – but insists he has yet to perfect his pick-up lines.
He says, “I’m enjoying myself. But I’m not great with women, dude. I’m not a closer. I can chat all night long, but I’m not the guy who goes, ‘Okay, back to my room.’ I’ve never been that way. It’s not my presence, I just can’t do it. But it’s not been a priority of mine for a while.”

Even before Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull made, like, a bajillion dollars, George Lucas was talking about a fifth film in the series. He’s got Shia LaBeouf ready to take over, and he told the fine foreigners at Cannes that he’s got an idea. But don’t get too excited. Remember how long it took to get Crystal Skull?
“That sits on the shelf there as one of 50 projects that I have to deal with,” Lucas admitted from the comfort of his own private ranch in Northern California. “It’s very hard to come up with stories for that thing.”
Didn’t he learn anything from the last one? Don’t make it such a big deal. Just crank out another one. “It’s really impossible, because it has to be real. It has to be something that actually happens, it has to be something people know about, and it has to be supernatural.”
Indy’s greatest adventure might be pulling that nugget out of G.Lu’s head. But at least Lucas has his empire working on it while he tends to the other 49 ideas.
“It’s a really difficult research project, which they’re researching now. Last time, it took us 14 years.”

Forget what you may have read—Shia LaBeouf is not facing any major transformation.
The actor, who sustained a seriously mangled mitt in a rollover accident, is not endanger of losing any of his digits, E! News has confirmed.
LaBeouf’s rep is shooting down a Star Magazine report claiming the 22-year-old actor informed his Transformers producers that he needed to have his pinky finger amputated.
It’s a “completely fabricated story,” LaBeouf publicist Melissa Kates tells E! News.
The Indiana Jones star’s hand was injured when his Ford pickup flipped in a late-night accident last month. “Shia’s left hand was crushed and will need regular medical supervision until his doctors clear him to return to work,” LaBeouf’s attorney, Michael Norris, said at the time.
LaBeouf has been spotted sporting a cast over his damaged wing…pinky and all.

Doctors have told Shia LaBeouf they may have to amputate one of his injured fingers, Star has learned exclusively.
The young star, now working on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is likely to lose the pinky on his left hand, a source on the movie set says.
“Shia called producers yesterday and told them,” the source on the set in Alamogordo, N.M. says. “It’s really thrown the movie into turmoil.”
Shia, 21, mangled his hand when his SUV rolled over twice in a July 27 accident in West Hollywood. He was cited for DUI although cops say they do not believe the accident was his fault.
A request for comment from Shia’s rep was not answered at press time.

Shia LaBeouf will check into rehab to help his chances of beating a drink driving conviction, according to reports.
The 22-year-old star suffered serious hand injuries and was charged with driving under the influence after a serious car crash in Hollywood on July 27th.
Investigators have ruled the other driver caused the accident by running a red light, but LaBeouf is still facing a stiff sentence for drunk driving when he appears in court later this month – and he’s prepared to do anything to help his cause, reports the New York Post.
The newspaper claims LaBeouf is readying himself for rehab because “judges like to see it (rehab)”.
A spokesperson for the actor – who checked out of hospital on Saturday – declined to comment on the allegations, adding: “Right now, we’re focusing on Shia’s hand.”

Shia LaBeouf has a chance of never recovering from the injuries he sustained in a car crash, according to his attorney.
The actor was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center last week after his truck flipped across a road and collided with another vehicle in Hollywood.
He was charged with driving under the influence and suffered serious hand injuries in the smash, which have disrupted shooting on his new movie Transformers 2.
The 22-year-old’s attorney Michael Norris reveals LaBeouf’s hand is “crushed” and runs the risk of infection.
Norris tells People.com, “The force of (the) impact immediately flipped Shia’s vehicle over, and, as a result, Shia’s left hand was crushed. Shia underwent four hours of surgery on Sunday and has been recovering since then. His doctors remain hopeful that he will fully recover, but due to extensive surgery and the nature of the injuries, there remains a substantial risk of both infection and other complications.”
