Gangster meets Western in Lawless, the true story of the freewheelin’ Bondurant brothers, bootlegging siblings taking the law into their own hands. This is the story of the rural hard-men that created the big city gangsters. Brazen and fearless, these young rebel brothers helped build the American Dream in this exuberant tale of what was to become crime’s first major gold rush. The youngest brother, Jack(Shia LaBeouf), fancies himself the next Al Capone; he dreams of sharp suits, guns, girls and fast cars, no matter the cost.

Ambitious and impulsive, he takes the family’s small-scale moonshining operation to the big leagues, to impress the gorgeous but off-limits Amish girl, Bertha (Mia Wasikowska). The middle brother, Howard (Jason Clarke), is the brawling muscle — loyal but reckless — never one to turn down a taste of white lightning. And eldest brother, Forrest (Tom Hardy), reluctantly accepts the changing times with grace and grit, leading the family with strength of character and silent determination against the beginnings of corporate greed.

An enigmatic and stunning Maggie (Jessica Chastain) comes to town with a hidden past, igniting his passion and almost saving him in the process. As the Bondurants’ legend grows, so too does the danger, and it’s not long before the brothers must face the consequences of their transgressions, or rewrite the myth and the lawthemselves.

Tom Hardy rings my bell. Ever since ‘Warrior’ – the man can do no wrong! And Tom Hardy in a movie about old school gangsters!? Forgettaboutit.

For those who aren’t aware, the drama formerly known as The Wettest County in the World has since been titled Lawless, and while that’s the same as a forthcoming Terrence Malick film, the director gave the okay for the production to take his title. Now we finally have an official first look at John Hillcoat’s film about three brothers, played by Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf and “The Chicago Code” star Jason Clarke, who created the big city gangsters. Brazen and fearless, these young rebel brothers helped build the American Dream in this exuberant tale of what was to become crime’s first major gold rush.

Shia LaBeouf has become close friends with Marilyn Manson, after the actor directed the singer’s latest music video. (Which surprises me, considering the story we heard earlier this week about Shia going completely nuts on Marilyn, and spitting water all over the singer and his girlfriend!)

The “Transformers” star is a longtime Manson fan and now counts him as one of his dearest pals after shooting the promo for his single, “Born Villain.”

LaBeouf tells MTV.com, “I love Marilyn. Manson is like a brother to me now. He’s a real sweet dude, a real close friend…

“Marilyn Manson to me is an indelible figure. He’s a big deal to me, and in my childhood, I don’t know of a scarier figure in art. He, in my teenage years, was the scariest thing in the world, so part of me has always been intrigued.”

But the actor has warned his fans they may not be impressed by the adult video, which features graphic imagery.

He adds, “There are fans of mine who aren’t fans of Manson’s and vice versa; that’s why I think our collaboration is interesting. I don’t really see it on paper. I don’t see fans of mine who went to see ‘Holes’ when they were 12 loving this. I don’t think my audience is the only thing I should exercise my artistic muscle for. I don’t necessarily always do things for the audience; this is one of those.”

Shia LaBeouf had a rough night last night. The actor was at an LA party when he began acting very strange. According to sources at the scene, the actor had a “public meltdown” and spat water all over his date and rocker Marilyn Manson before charging through the crowd to exit.

At the Aug. 26 opening of the LA outpost of The Box nightclub sponsored by Belvedere, the witness tells Life & Style, “Shia picked up a water bottle and shot a mouthful of water all over his seated date’s legs.

“Then he put more water in his mouth and started spitting it all over his tablemates, including Marilyn Manson. He seemed wasted.”

But according to the witness, neither his date, his friends nor Marilyn could calm Shia down — even after Marilyn offered a fist bump, as if to say everything was fine.

“People started taking their seats in front of the stage at the event, but all of a sudden Shia started shouting at his date and getting visibly angry,” the eyewitness tells Life & Style. Then he headed for the door. “He lunged through the very thick seated crowd, and the crowd pleaded with him and encouraged him to sit down. They tried to hold him back — but he kept struggling through.”

And the audience at the event got more than just the show it came to see. “Shia had to climb over people and tear himself out of the grasp of various strangers who were trying to keep him from going crazy,” the eyewitness says. “His date panicked and ran out after him. Marilyn looked shocked and annoyed but stayed seated. Shia and the girl did not return.”

“It was so insane — he just had a total meltdown right in front of everyone,” the eyewitness tells Life & Style. “It was completely out of control. He was so angry and physical. He was determined to get out of there.”

So what’s Shia’s problem? Angry drunk? Nervous breakdown?

Harrison Ford has labeled his Indiana Jones co-star Shia LaBeouf an “idiot” for publicly bashing their movie.

The pair worked together on 2008′s Indiana Jones, and while it was a blockbuster hit that earned $800 million, it was panned by critics.

After the movie was released, LaBeouf admitted he was disappointed with the film, saying he had “dropped the ball”.

Last year, he said, “I feel like I dropped the ball on the legacy that people loved and cherished… You can blame it on the writer and you can blame it on (director) Steven (Spielberg). But the actor’s job is to make it come alive and make it work, and I couldn’t do it…”

And LaBeouf even claimed Ford agreed with him, adding, “We (Ford and LaBeouf) had major discussions. He wasn’t happy with it either.”

But now Ford has spoken out about the remarks, calling his co-star a “f**king idiot” for turning against the movie.

He tells Details magazine, “I think he was a f**king idiot. As an actor, I think it’s my obligation to support the film without making a complete a** of myself. Shia is ambitious, attentive, and talented – and he’s learning how to deal with a situation which is very unique and difficult.”

I don’t know if I necessarily agree with Harrison here. Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull DID SUCK. Shia was the only one who actually admitted it!

Last night ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ premiered in NYC. Rosie Huntington-Whitely wore a red Antonio Berardi Fall 2011 gown. I really like the dress, but not as much as as the dark blue Burberry dress she wore earlier this week.
