John Corbett on SATC 2: Carrie Could Have Affair With Aidan

Infidelity and the city?

Maybe.

In Sex and the City 2, Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) may cheat on husband Mr. Big (Chris Noth) with ex Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) during a lavish trip to the Middle East — so hinted Corbett during a Monday radio chat for On Air with Ryan Seacrest.

“I can tell you that the girls go to Abu Dhabi,” the actor said of the sequel, out May 27. “And Carrie bumps into old Aidan.”

Corbett got coy when Ryan Seacrest asked whether Aidan has a spouse of his own, noting, “Aidan may or may not be married.” The Bradshaw-and-Big union, however, looks shaky in the trailer, Corbett said. “It doesn’t seem like things are going that well in that marriage.”

But, hypothetically, Seacrest asked, could Carrie and Aidan hook up again? “Oh yeah! Of course! There’s always that vibe,” Corbett replied.

The real-life Mr. Big was just as vague about Carrie’s marriage in an interview with Redbook. Chris Noth called SATC 2 “a great look into Carrie and Big’s relationship and what marriage means to them…No matter how long you’ve know someone, marriage changes some things in unexpected ways…And it’s a learning process for Carrie and Big.”

Matthew Broderick’s Early Verdict on Sex and the City 2

While the cast of Sex and the City 2 may be contractually bound by the studio to keep their lips sealed about the upcoming May 28 release, Matthew Broderick is forbidden to reveal any spoilers by an even higher power: the movie’s star and producer, his wife Sarah Jessica Parker.

“I’ve actually seen the movie, and it’s wonderful,” Broderick told People at Thursday’s Broadway premiere of the new musical The Addams Family, starring his pal and The Producers costar, Nathan Lane. “But if I were to say anything about it, I think a shot would ring out and I would collapse right here on the red carpet.”

According to Broderick, Parker “is tightlipped about it, and [I have] the contract of marriage. I can’t tell you anything about that movie, except it’s excellent.”

Given all the hubbub the new flick is expected to generate, Broderick, 48, is looking forward to spending some quality time with his family away from the sexy city.

“We’re going to have a big summer off … the whole family,” he says. “We’ll either be in Amagansett [in the Hamptons] or we’ll rent a house somewhere. I think we’re going to have a nice family summer.”

Having welcomed twin girls last summer, Broderick says that son James Wilkie, 7, gets more excited as his siblings grow bigger.

“He’s very cute with them, and now that they’re more active, it’s more fun for him. They pull his hair. He lies on the rug, and they climb on him. He likes that.”

So, when it comes to the Broderick brood, “Everybody’s all right. They’re all growing, eating and growing … yeah, everybody’s good,” says the proud pop.

New “Sex and the City” Trailer! It’s Aidan!!

Mmmm, I love me some Aiden (John Corbett).

In a new trailer for Sex and the City 2 (out May 27), romance seems to be on the rocks for Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mr. Big (Chris Noth).

Two years into their marriage, she says: “Big and I are getting a little too Mr. and Mrs. Married. We have to work on the sparkle.”

At one point in the trailer (courtesy of Yahoo!), she catches him flirting with Penelopez Cruz at a bar!

But the real drama comes when she and the girls take a trip to the Middle East to visit Abu Dhabi: She bumps into former fling Aidan Shaw (John Corbett)!

Kim Cattrall would have been fine without SATC

FP_IMAGE_3606018/FP_SET_3601155

Kim Cattrall would have been “fine” without ‘Sex and the City’.

The 53-year-old star – who won her role in the series about a group of four friends in New York at the age of 42 – claims that although the show turned her from a jobbing actress to a household name, she would have been happy without the success it has brought.

She said: “If it hadn’t come along I think I’d have been alright too. I’d have a really good, strong, journeyman actress career. That would have been fine.”

Kim – who plays Samantha Jones in the show and its spin-off movies – even said she didn’t take to the script when she first read it, saying she saw only a “miserable” woman and a group of people she “didn’t care” about.

Despite eventually signing on for the series, Kim admits she thought it was a “scary” thing to do.

She explained: “When you sign a contract to do a series, you’re effectively signing away six, possibly seven, years of your life based on 30 pages of dialogue. That’s a little scary.”

Rep: “Not True” Sex and the City 3 in the Works

satc3

Sex and the City 2 hasn’t even hit theaters, and there are already rumors Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte are coming back for a third.

Not so fast.

“This is not true,” a New Line Cinema rep tells UsMagazine.com.

According to the UK Sun, the studio wanted to move quickly to film a third flick before the Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon got too old.

“It’s under wraps for publicity reasons,” the paper quotes an insider saying. “It makes sense to film the second and third movies back-to-back… They’re keen to look as young as possible because that movie will be their last.”

SATC 2 hits theaters May 28.

More “Sex and the City 2″ secrets revealed!

bel24

Sex and the City 2 won’t hit theaters until May, but newcomer Noah Mills dished to Life & Style about his role as Nicky, a love interest for Samantha (Kim Cattrall).

The model turned actor, 25, plays the brother of wedding planner Anthony (Mario Cantone). “He’s a real New Yorker, a construction worker, blue-collar guy,” says Noah, who also stars in the upcoming Happy New Year. He admits he was nervous when he arrived on set to film the big wedding scene. (As Life & Style first reported, Anthony and Stanford marry in the flick.)

“My first film experience is this role, so that was a little intimidating; they’ve worked together for so long,” he says. “But they were easy to work with and excited for my part.”

By the time he got to shooting love scenes with Kim, 28 years his senior, he felt more comfortable. “Samantha the character is who she is, but Kim herself is really intelligent,” he says. “It was a pleasure.”
