Sarah Michelle Gellar is pregnant! She and husband, Freddie Prinze Jr., have announced they are expecting their second child.
While Sarah’s rep hasn’t confirmed the news yet, a source close to the couple told US Weekly that they’re “thrilled” about having another child. Gellar and Prinze have a daughter, Charlotte Grace, 2.
“Becoming a parent is the most selfless act, and you need to be at a point in your life where you can give up anything and everything for a child,” Gellar told People in 2009, shortly after giving birth.
Gellar and Prinze starred together in the 1997 thriller, “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” They began dating in 2000 and married in 2002.
Congrats to the couple!!
Sarah Michelle Gellar is appearing on the Rachael Ray Show tomorrow morning (Fat Tuesday! February 21st) to chat about her family, her love for New Orleans, and her chef husband (Freddie Prinze Jr.).
On her love for New Orleans :
“I love New Orleans . It was just some of the best food I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. And they’re the nicest people. It’s pretty amazing.”
Sarah Michelle on cooking for her family:
“I have been getting better I have to say. I’ve been spoiled because my husband is a chef. I got lazy you know we have a two and a half year old so I have to cook now. And I don’t want her to eat what we consider typical children’s food. I want her to eat like we do. .
Her daughter Charlotte is good about trying new foods:
“We love food and we want her to enjoy it and she’ll always try something twice.”
She admits that working full time is exhausting:
“I progressively get more tired throughout the season. In my defense I have a two and a half year old and setting my alarm is sometimes difficult for me.”

Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar stopped by the David Letterman Show in New York City yesterday afternoon for an appearance. She showed up wearing a short black and gold dress – and then left in a red top and tight black pants. What look is better on her?

Aw, it’s Buffy!
Sarah Michelle Gellar was seen stopping by the David Letterman Show in NYC yesterday, looking exactly the same as she did 10 years ago.
The actress has been living a very low-key lifestyle as a wife and mommy, but it’s good to see her taking on new roles and getting glammed up for the cameras.
There weren’t many stand out fashions on the red carpet last night at the Golden Globes, but Sarah Michelle Gellar stepped out of the box a little with this bold Monique Lhuillier gown. She shared that her daughter helped her pick it out: “It’s funny — I didn’t try on that many dresses. They had them all lined up and I was working all week and my 2-year-old walked in, walked up this dress and said, ‘Mama, wear this!’ So I put it on and said, ‘OK!”
What do you think? Did two year old Charlotte send her mom out there in a hit or miss?
This round in the gallery we have Charlize Theron, Kelly Osbourne, Emma Stone, Sharon Osbourne, Helen Mirren, Leonardo DiCaprio, Natalie Portman, Amy Poehler, Laura Linney, Nicole Kidman, Jessica Biel, Tina Fey and more!

Sarah Michelle Gellar graces the latest cover of Health Magazine, and in the magazine she opens up about suffering from something I think most women would probably admit to suffering from.
On how she views her body: I’m a female! I totally have body dysmorphic disorder. I think most women do. A make-up artist friend once said “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you look in a mirror.” I’m surrounded by them all the time – you sit in hair and make-up – so I guess I just have this mechanism where I tune it out. So every once in a while, I’ll look and I’ll be like, “Wait, that’s what I look like?” I just have to remember that I’m human, and I’m a mom. Being a parent changes the vanity at least a little bit. It has to. Your priorities are different.
On going into labor while working out: It was funny, too, because I was getting cranky, and I said to my trainer, “I’m just cranky today.” She was like, “Maybe it’s because you’re going to give birth!” And I was like, “Nah, not yet.” It turned out I was in labour, I didn’t realise.
On raising her daughter in a healthy home: Well, we’ve already taught her to love healthy food. I think it’s important at a young age to enjoy different tastes. And we make this green juice for her. It’s basically everything but the kitchen sink. We go to the farmers’ market and buy everything and just put it in the juicer: kale, Swiss chard, carrots, celery. You name it. And now we’ve all started drinking it, and we’ve all been healthier.
On Dutchess Kate & Pippa Middleton: It seems like people are worried that Catherine’s stressed. I feel like 10 years ago, it would have been like, “Oh, she looks incredible.” Whereas you look at her sister, who has such a fabulously athletic body. . . I think there’s this movement now, where more women, finally, want to look like that.
Michelle went on to promote her new WB series, “Ringer”, in which she plays identical twins. I have to admit I haven’t seen “Ringer”, I’m just not that interested. Have any of you watched? What do you think? Is it any good?
