It is ten years since the stars of Sex and the City first won over viewers with their cosmopolitan adventures in New York.

But with the help of computer technology the four actresses have rolled back the years for photographs promoting a film version of their television show.

With Sarah Jessica Parker, 43, back at the helm of her all girl pack, the stars posed for the promotional shoot ahead of the release of their big screen debut in May.

In flirty red confections - and with the help of just a touch of airbrushing - Sarah and her co-stars Kim Cattrall, 51, Cynthia Nixon, who turns 42 this month, and Kristin Davis, 43, appear almost as youthful as their black-clad 1998 promotional campaign.

Chris Bickmore, an airbrush artist, said the faces had all been retouched. “None of them have any eye bags or crow’s feet around their eyes in this PR shot,” he added. “Their faces are all now really perfect when women of their ages would have some wrinkles and facial detail.

“Kim Cattrall in the latest shot has also had the mole below her lip completely removed. I’d also say they’ve had their teeth made a brighter white too.”

Sarah recently revealed that as well as good genes, her secret to staying in shape is Pilates and, she adds, “running around New York City and having a five-year-old [son James Wilkie Broderick].”

But the svelte star insists she doesn’t follow a strict diet regime.

She said recently: “I eat everything. I’m just an eater. If it’s free, I honestly eat everything.”

“Last night I had steak and some lamb shank. And I had some roasted chicken and some cassoulet and some profiteroles and some ice cream and some cheesecake.”

Sarah recently admitted she was extremely hurt by a Maxim poll that named her “unsexiest woman alive.”

She defended her surgery-free appearance, saying: “Do I have big fake boobs, Botox and big lips? No.

“Do I fit some ideals and standards of some men writing in a men’s magazine? Maybe not.

“Am I really the unsexiest women in the world? Wow! It’s kind of shocking when men… It’s so brutal in a way, so filled with rage and anger.”

Still, she couldn’t be more happy about the upcoming film, saying: “I’m very excited. We’ve still got a lot of work to do, and very little time to do it but I’m hoping that it’s worth the wait.”

Several endings have been shot in a bid to keep fans guessing whether perennial singleton Carrie Bradshaw will finally tie the knot with Mr Big.

The film, which picks up from the series four years on, was delayed for some time amid reports of rows between Sarah and Kim, who plays man eater Samantha Jones.

Cattrall famously negotiated hard over payment for the film, and reportedly had a bust up over Sarah’s $US3 million salary - twice that of her co-stars.

Meanwhile, Sarah has talked down rumours that there is another Sex and the City television series in the works.

She said: “As a mother I just can’t be away from my son that kind of time.”

She may cut a willowy figure – but Sarah Jessica Parker doesn’t deprive herself in order to fit into designer duds.

“I eat everything,” the actress, 43, told People Monday night at a special screening of her new film, Smart People, co-hosted by Allure magazine’s Linda Wells and The Cinema Society. “I’m just an eater. If it’s free, I honestly eat everything.”

As if to prove a point, the Sex and the City star rattled off a list of all the food she’d consumed in the past 48 hours: “Last night I had steak and some lamb shank. And I had some roasted chicken and some cassoulet and some profiteroles and some ice cream and some cheesecake.”

And that’s not all. On Monday, “I had two different tarts from Once Upon a Tart [in SoHo] and toast and a banana and a cup of coffee and a bagel with cream cheese,” she said. Oh, yeah: “And a glass of fresh orange juice.”

One thing not on the menu: Alcohol. “I’m just simply not really a drinker,” she said. “It just doesn’t occur to me. Tonight I’ll have a glass of wine.”

So how does she stay so svelte? “It’s predisposition probably,” said Parker, who is also a Pilates devotee, despite her having not worked out in “a couple of weeks.” Finally, “And running around New York City and having a five-year-old [son James Wilkie Broderick].”

But her real stay-slim secret? “Anxiety!” she exclaimed.

When we heard the Sex And The City girls were reuniting, we just knew it would end up with a clash of Chanel handbags at dawn.

Behind the girls’ immaculately applied MAC make-up smiles there are some serious rucks going on in the run-up to the premiere of Sex And The City: The Movie - and yep, it’s all down to clothes.

Fashionista Sarah Jessica Parker has been inundated with more offers of designer gear than you can throw a Manolo Blahnik shoe at.

One unnamed fashion house tried to bribe her to wear their label at next month’s bash - in return for dressing her son for life.

Another has offered around £2million worth of designer gear. Bvlgari and de Beers are also vying for her attention to wear their bling down the red carpet.

So you can imagine her co-stars Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are feeling major dress envy.

One source who’s been dodging the evil daggers flying around the dressing rooms revealed that things have got so bad the girls are threatening not to arrive in the same white limo together for the bash in New York.

He said: “There is huge rivalry about who is wearing what. It’s insane. And the film’s stylist Patricia Field is stuck in the middle because everyone keeps secretly asking her who is wearing what. They are determined not to be outdone by each other.

“The four girls were all supposed to arrive at the premiere together in a white stretch limo.

“But now they have demanded that they have their own individual cars so each star can have their own five minutes on the carpet with all eyes on them - rather than SJP getting all the attention.

“It’s turning into a logistical nightmare.

“I doubt there will be a follow up to this film - it would be too stressful for everyone involved.”

But with so much attention on what is going to be one of the most glamorous premieres of the year, even the leading lady is beginning to feel the pressure.

Sarah Jessica Parker has taken up some unusual health techniques in an attempt to look amazing at next month’s A-list bash.

Our source claims: “She has been working out furiously and is on a special berry diet to look her best for the big night.”

The way things are going her co-stars will help by blowing raspberries at her, too.

Professor Lawrence Wetherhold (Dennis Quaid) might be imperiously brilliant, monumentally self-possessed and an intellectual giant — but when it comes to solving the conundrums of love and family, he’s as downright flummoxed as the next guy. When his brother shows up unexpectedly for an extended stay at just about the same time as he accidentally encounters his former student Janet (Sarah Jessica Parker), the circumstances cause him to stir from his deep, deep freeze, with often comical, sometimes heartbreaking, consequences for himself and everyone around him.

Not the most flattering picture of SJP, if you ask me.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s son is proving an unlikely source of support for U.S. presidential hopeful Barack Obama.

Five-year-old James Wilkie Broderick is a big fan of the Democratic candidate - purely because he is a fellow male. Sarah says, “He’s very into Barack Obama. On his own! “He’s really, truly into this election. He’s come to this conclusion on his own based specifically on Barack’s gender. It’s that deep. He’s a fan and a true supporter of Barack Obama.”
