Why does Lindsay Lohan spend so much time with good pal Samantha Ronson?
“Lindsay just feels safe with her,” socialite – and Lohan friend – Cory Kennedy told People at Billabong’s 2nd Annual Design for Humanity Event Wednesday night in Hollywood. “I just feel like they have a very loyal and trustworthy relationship, which is really hard to come across in the world that Lindsay’s in. It’s a trust thing.”
The DJ has been Lohan’s constant companion during the past few weeks – they even enjoyed a recent family get-together with Ronson’s mom, Ann Dexter-Jones, and Lohan’s young sister Ali in New York City. The traveling duo also cozied up on Diddy’s yacht during the Cannes Film Festival.
On Wednesday night, Lohan showed up at a G-Star party in Beverly Hills to support Ronson, who was spinning. After spending some together-time in the DJ booth, they headed for Ronson’s next gig at the pre-party for a N.E.R.D. concert. (After Pharrell Williams’s set, the two sat close together on a black leather couch – then made their joint exit around midnight.)
A ‘Genuine’ Friendship
DJ Steve Aoki, a close friend of both Lohan and Ronson, said their bond is easy to understand.
“[Samantha] truly is a friend to her,” he explained. “She’s a very positive influence …. [Lindsay] sees that and sees a genuine, good friendship.”
“I think the most important thing in a relationship is, really, trust,” agreed Kennedy. “I feel like that’s what their relationship thrives on. I love the fact that they’re both really happy.”

Lindsay Lohan’s mother Dina has refused to confirm or deny rumors the actress is in a lesbian relationship with best pal Samantha Ronson, insisting she just wants her daughter to be “happy”.
The Mean Girls star has been keeping gossips guessing as to the nature of her relationship with the DJ sister of producer Mark Ronson for the last six months.
But rumours escalated last week when the pair was seen repeatedly embracing and cuddling up to one another at a party in Cannes, France. Lohan has also been pictured kissing Ronson on the cheek.
And while the actress’ representative insists the star is just “close friends” with Ronson, Lindsay’s manager mum Dina admits she will not stand in her daughter’s way if she chooses to embark on a romance with the DJ.
Dina tells OK! magazine, “If she’s happy, I’m happy. That’s all I’ll say. Samantha’s great. I’ve known her and her family for ten years.”

TMZ has learned that Lindsay Lohan spent over two hours in an Los Angeles ER, after complaining that she was having difficulty breathing.
As TMZ first reported, while on a flight from NYC yesterday, Lohan asked for a warm compress to ease discomfort she was feeling in her chest. Lilo suffers from asthma.
Sources tell us she was hesitant to go to the hospital because of the paparazzi. We’re told she’s totally fine and is currently on set of her new flick “Labor Pains.”

In a desperate attempt to gain readers, this morning Us Weekly’s web site claimed to have quotes from Lindsay Lohan’s father, Michael Lohan, confirming that his daughter is indeed in a lesbian relationship with her best friend, DJ Samantha Ronson. However, Linds’ dad tells OK! that what they’ve published couldn’t be further from the truth.
“I never said anything like this,” Michael explains. “I’ve never even looked at the pictures of Linds and Sam, so how can I comment on this?”
Referring to his daughter’s recent revealing pictorial in New York Magazine, he continues, “Just like the Marilyn Monroe pics, I’ve never looked at these photos either. This is just another way of some evil person spreading a vicious rumor to try to hurt my relationship with my daughter Lindsay.”

Michael Lohan isn’t playing dumb when it comes to his daughter Lindsay’s close relationship with deejay Samantha Ronson.
Days after photos of them nuzzling necks in Cannes, France, surfaced, he tells Usmagazine.com their romance “is evident to anyone with half a brain.”
Still, he adds, “Just like the [topless] Marilyn Monroe spread, Linds is my daughter and there are just some things a father doesn’t want to see or hear, regardless of whether they are true or false.”
His daughter, 21, “is a big girl, and she can make her own life choices. Then it is between her and God.”
Michael — who volunteers for a Christian-based rehab organization — couldn’t help but take a swipe at his ex Dina (who just debuted her new E! reality show).
“Maybe her mother’s life revolves around the tabloids and reports, but mine doesn’t,” Michael says. “I am into setting a good example and doing good things that don’t deceive or exploit my kids.
“But I will say this: While we were a family, you never even saw or heard a negative thing about any of us.
“But since the separation, look at everything that has happened!”
