Does it get any better? I mean honestly! Local Vancouverite Ryan Reynolds visits and has lunch at “The Mill” with couple Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper. How in the world did Renee get that lucky!!

Don’t believe the hype: Ryan Reynolds did not skip Comic-Con over a feud with his wife Scarlett Johansson, according to reps for both stars.
“[The report] is completely untrue,” the reps tell People. “Warner Brothers never planned to have Green Lantern as part of their panel at this year’s Comic-Con and Ryan is in Europe shooting a film.”
Reports have circulated online that Johansson, 24, and Reynolds, 32, got into a heated argument which caused him to skip the popular annual event.
Adds a source close to the couple, “Any reports of a fight are ridiculous.” Johansson and Reynolds quietly tied the knot in September 2008.

Scarlett Johansson is seeking treatment to quit smoking, following pleas from her husband Ryan Reynolds.
Ryan Reynolds has begged wife Scarlett Johansson to quit smoking for their anniversary.
The ‘Proposal’ actor is desperate for his 24-year-old wife to give up the smelly habit, and has asked her to do it as a present for him as they celebrate being married for a year.
A source said: “Scarlett has sworn to her shining knight she’ll kick nicotine to prove she’s the world’s happiest wife. Now she’s researching hypnosis therapy.”
While Scarlett has agreed to kick her bad habit for her spouse, he has not been so forthcoming in agreeing to her requests.
Earlier this year, it was claimed Scarlett wanted Ryan to stop riding his motorbike after he was almost involved in an accident.
A source said at the time: “She’s petrified a serious accident is just around the corner. When she asked Ryan to give up motorcycling, he flat out refused. And that led to a pretty heavy argument.”

Ryan Reynolds has landed the coveted role of “Green Lantern,” getting the starring role in Warner Bros.’ live-action film based on the DC Comics hero.
Martin Campbell will direct. The studio is still working on the picture’s budget, but production is expected to begin in January.
The news caps off a memorable summer for Reynolds, who played Deadpool in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” a performance that prompted Fox to begin development on a spinoff film. Reynolds followed that by starring opposite Sandra Bullock in the romantic comedy “The Proposal,” which crossed the $100 million mark this week.
Warners and Campbell chose Reynolds, who vied for the superhero role along with “The Hangover” star Bradley Cooper and Jared Leto. The momentum built for Reynolds in the last week, as he was the only actor whose option was extended.
Greg Berlanti wrote the script with Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green. Donald DeLine will produce with Berlanti. Reynolds’ reps at UTA are working out his deal.
The actor will next star in “Buried,” a dark indie drama that will begin filming shortly in Barcelona with Spanish director Rodrigo Cortes. Reynolds will play a civilian contractor who is kidnapped in Iraq and awakes in a coffin, struggling against time to coordinate a rescue even though he doesn’t know where he’s buried in the desert.

Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson are planning to adopt.
“My oldest brother is adopted and I have every intention of adopting at some time,” Reynolds, 32, tells British Glamour in its new issue. “I’m very grateful for having my brother in my life. I couldn’t be more pro-adoption. There are plenty of kids in the world that need it.”
Reynolds – who currently headlines the Sandra Bullock romantic comedy The Proposal – also reflects on his own family life, growing up in Vancouver.
“I learned how to take a punch from a very early age,” says the star, who is now known for his chiseled abs. “I was routinely pummeled into a fine cottage cheese.”
As for his good looks (and brains), Reynolds thanks his parents.
“I have my father’s face and body, but my mother’s unshakeable thirst for knowledge,” he says. “She works part-time jobs, but basically she’s been a student her whole life. She still goes to university and she’s in her 60s.”
Reynolds wed Johansson, 24, in an intimate ceremony at a Canadian wilderness retreat last year.
In the February issue of Harper’s Bazaar, the actress said she and Reynolds have no plans to start a family just yet.
Said Johansson (now shooting Iron Man 2), “I’m not pregnant nor will I be any time soon.”
