Ryan Reynolds wore cellophane underwear in his latest movie.
The 32-year-old actor - who plays PA Andrew Paxton in ‘The Proposal’, about an assistant whose boss forces him to marry her to ensure she isn’t deported - had no problem donning the transparent garment as he thinks he looked good in it.
Discussing whether a scene in which he and co-star Sandra Bullock appear naked was “sexy”, he joked: “I don’t know what was unsexy about it. I mean I was furnished with cellophane underwear that day. That’s a beautiful sight. A nice see through, cellophane Speedo.”
Sandra insists she only agreed to strip off for the movie as the scene - which sees the pair accidentally bump into each other while both are nude - was funny rather than romantic.
She explained to Bang Showbiz: “I’ve done those scenes that are supposed to be sexy and they’re just not. The full naked body, especially the men, and I hate to say it, a full frontal is not that funny or sexy. But you hide a little something between us men and women and it becomes sexy, it’s sexier.
“So the lack of sexiness in this scene made me happy to do it. I mean yeah, it’s humiliating, it’s embarrassing, people are going to poke fun at your body, but I do that already.”
The 44-year-old actress added she was happy to laugh at her bare body as she isn’t precious about her appearance.
She revealed: “I don’t look at my body and go, ‘This is such a machine, a beautiful specimen, I cannot show it in that funny light.’ It’s funny every day. I look at it everyday and there’s something funny going on with my body so I saw that it could be used as a vessel, in a good way.”

Samuel L. Jackson has admitted that he invested in a beehive for Scarlett Johansson after she let him known of the insect’s declining population.
The actor, who worked with Johansson on movie The Spirit, told the Late Show with David Letterman that he bought the box of bees for her wedding to Ryan Reynolds.
“Scarlett was always talking about how the bees were dying and the planet was going to die. I was telling her that people keep saying the bees are dying because they want to charge us more for fruit and vegetables,” he explained.
“So she kept complaining about the bees, we had the same dressing room. ‘Sam, the bees are dying, we need to do something’, so I said, ‘Ok, what I’m going to do is buy you a beehive as your weeding gift’.
“And she thought I was kidding. So once they got married, and when the weather was right, I sent my sister out to a bee farm, we got about five pounds of bees. We got them some bee suits and hats as well.”
Last week, Jackson revealed that he wanted to star in the film Mamma Mia!.

Ryan Reynolds has been busy promoting his upcoming romantic comedy ‘The Proposal’, co-starring Sandra Bullock, and hit up the cover of Entertainment Weekly with four different themed covers.
Below are a few highlights from his interview:
On being considered a sex symbol:
“Really embarrassing. I think I fear more than anything just sounding like a complete a-hole when I have to answer that question. If you take any of that seriously, you need to be euthanized, ASAP.”
Subscribe to Entertainment Weekly!
On being a working actor:
“I’ve always just liked working. I like being a working actor. There’s an old saying that you don’t ever finish a movie, you abandon it, and I really believe that. I never walk away from a take and pat myself on the back. You always walk away going, ‘Damnit, I should have tried this!’ It’s that possibility that keeps me coming back for more.”
On his favorite TV Show, which is A&E’s Intervention:
“Real schadenfreude stuff. The first season or two is all about alcoholics and heroin addicts, but then as the seasons progress, they feel the need to sensationalize it a bit. So by Season 5, you get to people who are chemically unable to experience joy unless they’re smoking a cat, or something equally disturbing. I love it.”
On video games:
I don’t really play video games. Is there a way to waste more f–ing time? The internet’s enough. The last videogame I played was Ms. Pacman.”
His issue and his movie comes out this Friday, June 19.

Ryan Reynolds will soon have the entire screen to himself to show off those biceps.
His wise-cracking Deadpool character from the box-office powerhouse X-Men Origins: Wolverine is being developed by 20th Century Fox and Marvel Comic for a spin-off star vehicle, trade papers report.
Deadpool, actually mercenary Wade Wilson, will overcome the setback suffered in Wolverine and regain the ability to shoot off his mouth, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Currently costarring in Adventureland, Reynolds, 32, will next be seen opposite Sandra Bullock in the romantic comedy The Proposal, opening June 19.
Not that Hugh Jackman is being left out in the cold. The studio is developing a Wolverine sequel with a samurai storyline introduced in the bar scene at the end of the current blockbuster, reports Variety.
