And WOW was it amazing.
When Ted Crawford (Hopkins) discovers that his beautiful younger wife, Jennifer, is having an affair, he plans her murder. Among the cops arriving at the crime scene is hostage negotiator Detective Rob Nunally, the only officer permitted entry to the house. Surprisingly, Crawford readily admits to shooting his wife, but Nunally is too stunned to pay close attention when he recognizes his lover, whose true identity he never knew, lying on the floor in a pool of blood. Although Jennifer was shot at point blank range, Nunally realizes she isn’t dead. Crawford is immediately arrested and arraigned after confessing–a seemingly slam-dunk case for hot shot assistant district attorney Willy Beachum (Gosling). But nothing is as simple as it seems, including this case. In a tense duel of intellect and strategy, Crawford and Willy both learn that a “fracture” can be found in every ostensibly perfect façade.

Fracture was a great movie. Ryan Gosling is H-O-T HOT. Anthony Hopkins is – well, there are no words. Who compares to Anthony Hopkins? I love it when he plays an evil character (fava beans, anyone?) I seem to buy it more than Mr. Niceguy.

The chemistry between Ryan and Anthony is great. The movie is so well written – and so well directed. This is a great departure for me -the last two movies I saw I absolutely HATED. (They were Halle Berry’s “Perfect Stranger” and Sandra Bullock’s “Premonition”)

I give it two thumbs up… a must see!
Even though last week it was announced (through sources) that Ryan and Rachel were engaged – it’s looking like that might not be the case this week.
“It’s a break, not a breakup,” says one source, who adds that while McAdams is very dependent on Gosling, the recent Oscar nominee wants some distance so he can focus on his sizzling career.
“It’s a pivotal moment for him,” says the insider.
Still, McAdams “is taking it really hard because Ryan is everything to her,” says a source.
A third insider, who says the pair split several weeks ago, adds, “Ryan was in love with her, but it didn’t work out because of their conflicting work schedules.”
Says the pal, “They’re both miserable. Hopefully they’ll get back together soon.”
Rachel’s rep is denying the story…so here’s to hoping this isn’t true!
I think that’s his sister that he’s with…he usually takes her to his premieres/award shows.

“She’s kind. She doesn’t need any help from me. She’s inspired me to do so much as well,” Gosling, 26, said Sunday when asked about McAdams’s comments at a junket for his new thriller Fracture.
McAdams, 30, told the magazine’s April issue that her beau – and costar in 2004′s The Notebook – “never does the same thing twice. He’s very brave.”
But Gosling, a Best Actor Oscar nominee for Half Nelson, says McAdams has good judgment in her own right: “She’s the most discerning person I’ve ever met. She’ll read a script 100 times. She’s relentless.”
And she’s not bad looking, either: Asked to comment on McAdams’s cover shot for the magazine, Gosling was momentarily tongue-tied.
“Oh … yeah …” he said. “She looks stunning! Absolutely – yeah!”
Canadian super couple Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are reportedly engaged. According to Life + Style mag, the pair have decided to renew their pledge to wed after a “touchy” reconciliation following a rocky period in their relationship. “Ryan didn’t have to repropose,” says an insider. “He and Rachel just agreed it was time to think about getting married again because they had worked out their problems. Ryan says he’s thrilled that Rachel is wearing her engagement ring again, which Ryan gave her early in 2005. It was always a secret engagement, and they will never confirm it publicly, but it’s back on, and they’re happy again, planning some family vacations together and doing the private-party rounds to support Ryan’s role in Half Nelson.” The source claims the pair are hoping for a low-profile wedding and may even elope. “Ryan says they’re looking for a good time to slip away and do it, and he’s even said New Year’s might be the perfect time for him and Rachel to make things permanent,” said the insider. “Starting a family and sharing their lives together is so much more important to them than which magazine they can sell their wedding pictures to.”
