Sean Penn Is A Terrible Father

The 69th Annual Cannes Film Festival - "The Last Face" Premiere

Don’t Sean Penn‘s kids look THRILLED to be hanging with their dad?

Sean Penn has two children with Robin Wright: 25-year-old Dylan Frances and 22-year-old Hopper Jack. According to Hopper, the name written on his birth certificate wasn’t his father’s first choice. Hopper tells Interview magazine that if the decision had been left up to his amazingly responsible father figure, his name would be Steak. Yes, if Sean had his way there’d be a human being out in the world named STEAK PENN.  Why? Because Sean Penn apparently really loves steak. Cool.

“My dad wanted to name me Steak, the food, because he loves it so much. But my mom was never going to go for it.”

Thank goodness for Robin Wright, FOR SO MANY REASONS INCLUDING THIS ONE. I mean, I like steak, too, but I wouldn’t look into the eyes of my newborn child and say, hey, that might work for this HUMAN BABY.

So why Hopper instead?  It’s not a deliciously bloody piece of meat, but Hopper says it was because his dad “idolized” Dennis Hopper, and that his mother claims he hopped in her stomach rather than kicked. Not a kicker? Might want to run a DNA test.

Get What’s Yours, Robin Wright.

Netflix's 'House Of Cards' Season 2 Special Screening

Robin Wright recently demanded to be paid the same as co-star Kevin Spacey for her work on “House of Cards,” and I couldn’t be happier. Wright disclosed the news to a media junket yesterday at the Rockefeller Foundation. Spacey was reportedly making $500,000 per episode for his work on the series back in 2014, before season 3 of the show debuted. At the time, Last year, Forbes reported that Wright made $5.5 million for her work on the show, which would be around $420,000 an episode. Now that’s a lot of money but honestly, both work equally hard to be the terrible, fascinating people they portray on the show. SLAY ROBIN, SLAY!

“I was like, ‘I want to be paid the same as Kevin,’” said Wright, who plays Claire Underwood, the sinister counterpart and co-conspirator to Spacey’s President Frank Underwood on Netflix’s popular show. Wright is a producer and occasional director for “House of Cards.”

“It was the perfect paradigm. There are very few films or TV shows where the male, the patriarch, and the matriarch are equal. And they are in ‘House of Cards,’” said Wright, who had been talking about the problem of equal pay for women more generally.

“I was looking at the statistics and Claire Underwood’s character was more popular than [Frank’s] for a period of time. So I capitalized on it. I was like, ‘You better pay me or I’m going to go public,’” Wright said with her trademark blinding-white grin. “And they did.”

Um, some other actresses should take a page out of Robin’s book. I know she’s huge, but still. It shouldn’t be that much to ask for equal pay for equal work.

Robin Wright Covers ‘Vanity Fair’; Talks Sex With Ben Foster (Photo)

Robin Wright Covers 'Vanity Fair'; Talks Sex With Ben Foster (Photo)

House Of Cards actress Robin Wright appears on the April 2015 cover of Vanity Fair and inside, she talks about her former marriage to Sean Penn and her current love, Ben Foster.

She said, “I was pregnant and ostensibly married at 24. You hear people say how they have ‘arrived,’ but it was just always there, waiting to come out. For me, it just took a long time. I’m 48. I’m finally a person. I think I’m finally ready.”

Of her marriage to Sean Penn, she said, “I [changed my name] really for my children because we’d had kids before we married and I thought that we should all have the same name. That’s traditional.”

She won’t say anything negative about Penn, who is currently engaged to Charlize Theron. She revealed, “I’m not in the business of talking about what ‘isn’t’. My eyes are set forward and I’ve never been happier. I have too much respect for Sean and our two extraordinary children to sell our past joys and woes for public consumption and fodder. I believe we were together not only to have our beautiful children but to learn how to love. For the next time around, the right way. And then, what I’m looking for in people now is kindness.”

She added, “I’ve never been happier in my life than I am today. Perhaps it’s not ladylike, but I’ve never laughed more, read more, or come more than with Ben. He inspires me to be the best of myself. There’s so much to learn. It’s endless. How great! It took me a long time to grow up. Love is possible as life is possible.”

Robin Wright & Ben Foster Call Off Engagement

Robin Wright & Ben Foster Call Off Engagement

Robin Wright and Ben Foster have called off their engagement!

It’s sad… I thought they were really cute together, didn’t you? I guess when work schedules get in the way, there isn’t much one can do…

“She got swept up in the engagement last Christmas, but then their schedules got crazy and she realized it wasn’t the right decision,” an insider tells Us of why the House of Cards actress, 48, called it quits with her beau.

This past summer, the source adds, was the breaking point for the actress, who was juggling working on the Netflix hit in Baltimore and then spending weekends in Los Angeles with her and ex-husband Sean Penn’s kids Dylan, 23, and Hopper Jack, 21. Meanwhile, Foster, 34, was busy in London with a production of A Streetcar Named Desire.

The couple’s 14-year age difference didn’t help matters either, another insider adds. “The gap just ended up being too much,” a source close to Wright told Us. “Ben was kind of immature. She couldn’t deal with him anymore.”

Wright first stepped out with her engagement ring from Foster this past January. The now exes met on set of their 2011 film Rampart.

I really like both of them, so I hope that they both end up with someone better suited for them. What do you think of their split?
