And I would be, too.
It’s been almost two years since Paula Patton and Robin Thicke broke up, and the woman is all, “whatever happens, happens,” in a zen-like way that probably came from a lot of tears and a lot of vomiting after listening to Robin’s album about her. Right?
Anyhow, People checked in with the actress, who says the key to surviving a high-profile breakup is not paying attention to media coverage of her personal life. True. And probably also not paying attention to Robin’s new, 20 year old fiance. She said:
“I don’t think you can control that. You just keep living your life and have faith that everything sorts itself out. Be patient, I’m learning that later in life it’s like, ‘All in due time,’ and the real goal is to find joy in the right now. Focusing on what I have right now is really good and not be concerned with things I can’t control: How other people see me, what they say, it’s wasted energy for me and it’s never done me any good.”
“It’s not that it’s every day, you fight for it,” she says. “I want more joy. I want more happiness. I have a beautiful son [Julian Thicke, 6]. I’ve been lucky to do what I’ve done and to focus on anything else is such a waste. It’s a discipline because trust me we all go there. What I’m striving for is to have more joy, play, have fun with this life. Growing older is a good thing in that way, right? Keep on trucking. You have to find the place where it gets comfortable and easier.”
Hear, hear. So sorry you have to deal with the Grade-A douche that is Robin Thicke, Paula. ONWARD.

And I think Julian agrees.
The thing is, everything Robin Thicke says and does seems so gross and self-serving, and this little blurb is no different. The singer/songwriter (and I use that term loosely) talked about how when he and Paula Patton first separated in February 2014, he was going through a tough time. He conveniently didn’t mention that they broke up because he was a giant, philandering D bag, but whatev. After a lame attempt to win Paula back with the release of his album Paula and the equally lame lead single “Get Her Back,” he took an extended break from performing and writing music:
“I started songwriting and producing and singing professionally when I was 16, and I never really stopped until last year,” Thicke told Good Morning America on Aug. 12. “I took some time off to just be with my son and my family. It helps you gain perspective on what’s important in life.”
That time off included taking his mom, Gloria Loring, on their first vacation together in years with his son.
“I hadn’t gotten to take my mom on vacation for a long time, so it was really a magical trip for us,” he said. “I spent so much time with my son and that just made me realize what was most important.”

A year and one twenty year old fiance later, here we are.
How much do you hate Robin Thicke, on a scale of a lot to never wanna see his dumb haircut again? WEIGH IN BELOW.

Robin Thicke has put a ring on it, and by “it” we mean his girlfriend who is just one year older than being a teenager. Ready to vomit yet?
Life & Style Weekly reports that the “Blurred Lines” singer asked his girlfriend, April Love Geary, to make it official. I can only assume she giggled and assumed the Hollywood cliche:
“Robin recently proposed to April and she said yes,” a source close to the couple tells Life & Style. Robin and April, who are 18 years apart in age, have only been dating since October, but, according to the source, “he doesn’t want to risk losing her.”
“Robin’s moving really quick with the relationship,” says the source. After all, his divorce from his wife of nine years, actress Paula Patton, was finalized less than four months ago.
“Both his parents have told him to take some time and not rush into marriage again so soon,” the source shares. But he’s not listening to those pleas. “They go almost everywhere together. He’s totally obsessed with her.”

Yep, this seems totally and completely healthy. Do you think they’ll actually tie the knot?

Well, it looks like I’m not a fan of both Robin Thicke and his dad Alan Thicke, cause this is GROSS:
The 38-year-old singer has been dating 20-year-old model April Love Geary for the past six months, and the age difference makes me wanna vomit.
You’d think Robin’s dad, Alan, would call BS on the relationship…but he’s actually a supporter? Ugh.
The actor was at the Vacation premiere in LA and he only has glowing words for his child’s new love:
“She’s lovely… It’s a great time for him. [He has an] album coming out and April is there and supportive.”
But I guess The Growing Pains star can’t really be critical- his wife Tanya Thicke is 28 years younger than him, and they’ve been married 10 years.
She chimed in:
“The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”
“I think it’s also very important that she’s also very mature. I think that says a lot. She’s a very mature young lady. A very beautiful, smart, mature young lady.”
Ew. How MATURE can a 20 year old be, for REAL? And, what do you think of this relationship?
