Actor Robert Pattinson of “Water for Elephants” makes an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Wednesday, April 20th. Robert explains how his “Ellen” underwear made an appearance on the set of the last “Twilight” film.
Ellen: I want to hear about the incident. You were on set and there was something involving me. It was actually not me. It was a piece of clothing.
Robert: Similar to another story I told you about windscreen wipers on my car not working. I don’t know how to use a washing machine either. I save your ones (“Ellen” underwear) for special occasions.
Ellen: My underwear?
Robert: Yeah.
Ellen: Thank you.
Robert: So they very rarely get brought out. I was doing the last “Twilight” movie and I only had one pair left and they were those ones (“Ellen” underwear.) We were doing this big fight screen and for some reason I think the shape of my body, my back is too long or something. So my @ss is constantly hanging out (laughing.)
Ellen: Is that why your @ss is hanging out? We were wondering what made that happen all this time.
Robert: I genuinely think I have a few two many extra vertebra or something. Every single shot we were doing this big fight and every shot has these Ellen underpants. It came to a point where producers are calling up my agent going, I don’t know what he is up to but I don’t like it (laughing.)
Ellen: Like there is some conspiracy theory of my underwear being in the movie or something.
Robert: They never questioned “Fruit of the Loom” before….
Ellen gives Robert a basket full of “Ellen” underwear.
I can’t wait to see ‘Water For Elephans’! I think I’m going to see it on Friday, if all goes according to plans. Who else is going to see it this weekend?
Hollywood hunk Robert Pattinson knows how to be the tough guy on the silver screen.
But there is one thing he’s scared of.
Hosting ‘Saturday Night Live’!
Rob took the time to talk with Kelly Ripa and special guest host Seth Meyers on ‘Live With Regis and Kelly’ this morning (April 18) about possibly hosting the Saturday night comedy TV show.
“It’s terrifying,” Rob explained toSeth, an SNL vet, who was encouraging the Twilight star to take on the hosting challenge.
“It is scary,” Seth replied. “But then it’s really worth it when you do it.”
Rob continued to claim that he wasn’t funny, but Seth suggested he would be very funny in a bit with Jimmy Fallon — who features the hilarious “Robert is Bothered” spoofs on his hit late night talk show.
Rob explained that in the one spoof he did with Jimmy on his show, he wasn’t trying to be funny.
“That’s how it’s going to work,” Seth quipped.
Kelly also tried to convince Rob to face his SNL fears, but the actor, who is currently promoting his film Water for Elephants, was not interested.
I’d definitely love to see Rob host ‘SNL’ and maybe do some Twilight spoofs… what about you?
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart share a kiss in the backseat of their car as they leave an after party following the New York premiere of Pattinson’s new movie, “Water For Elephants.”
Kristen wasn’t with Rob on the red carpet, instead made an appearance at the after-part in NYC last night. She was spotted leaving the party, hanging onto his arm, wearing a gorgeous dress by J. Mendel.
They’re a very private couple – we never get to see them together! Nice to see them showing some affection in public… sorta.
Newlywed Reese Witherspoon hit the red carpet with costar Robert Pattinson on Sunday for the world premiere of ‘Water For Elephants’.
While on the red carpet, US Weekly asked the actress how it felt being married!
“It feels great!” Witherspoon gushed to Us Weekly.
The actress recently returned from her honeymoon in Belize with Toth, 40; her kids with ex Ryan Phillippe, Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7, also came along.
Balancing her brand-new married life with promotional duties is just fine, she said. “Everything’s just great!”
Plus, she added, film premieres get her closer to other VIPs in her life. “This is an opportunity to really connect with the fans,” Witherspoon said. “It’s a nice opportunity for me to connect with the people who actually go and see the movies.
She and costar Pattinson, 24, gave each other warm hugs at the premiere — but Witherspoon joked that she still hasn’t gotten a gift from her sexy costar. “Not yet! And I am waiting!” she joshed. “Tick Tock! You can tell him I am waiting.”
The next morning, Witherspoon opened up some more about her nuptials — and fan support — on Good Morning America.
“[The wedding] was a really nice day,” Witherspoon told Robin Roberts of the rustic, chic bash. Plus, her fans approve of her new guy. “I had a whole chat with a guy named George yesterday [in NYC]..He said..”I like your husband. I think this guy is a good guy.’ I said, ‘Thank you George… I feel the same way!”
“It’s nice when people support you,” she added. “It feels really good to be loved … so much love coming at you from different places.”
In what’s probably the most enjoyable interview Robert Pattinson has ever done, the Twilight actor answered some off the wall questions posed by Elle magazine. The periodical spoke to the 24-year-old actor about filming two upcoming movies, Water For Elephant and Bel Ami, the latter of which he plays a journalist who sleeps his way to success.
On If It Was Fun Playing a Ladies’ Man Instead of Someone Celibate
“Completely. I thought it was funny as well — Twilight having quite a bit of a female audience— to play a guy who basically screws women out of money,” he said. “I like the fact that you never hear of a movie where the bad guy stabs every single person in the back and then wins.”
If He’s Thought of Doing Something That Destroys His ‘Twilight Image’
“You know, when the whole thing dries up and there’s hardly any paparazzi around — I don’t know, in 15 years or something — I like the idea of just one paparazzo coming out and trying to get a picture, and I just beat the shit out of him,” he shared. “I mean — out of nowhere — when my picture’s not even worth… and I’ve spent all my money, so you can’t sue me!”
Rob also shared his thoughts on a Guy de Maupassant quote. Bel Ami is based on a Maupassant novel. Rob says:
“’The essence of life is the smile of round female bottoms, under the shadow of cosmic boredom.’ That is an absolutely true quote. Round female bottoms are very much a miracle.”
Robert Pattinson sat down with Elle Magazine in a new interview. While promoting his new film, he also opened up about his relationship with the paparazzi, Twilight and considering himself “girly”. It’s a great interview! Love him!
ELLE: Any odd encounters with the media recently?
RP: A bunch of paparazzi were following me, and I thought the best way to deal with it was to stop my car in the middle of the street and say, “I’m not leaving, and I’m not going to speak to you anymore.” They got all pissed off because they can’t just keep taking the same picture. We were in Venice by the boardwalk, and they kept trying to get all these drug dealers to come up to the car. I was just like, Oh my God, this is insane.
ELLE: Have you ever fantasized about doing something to destroy the “Twilight image” of you?
RP: You know, when the whole thing dries up and there’s hardly any paparazzi around—I don’t know, in 15 years or something—I like the idea of just one paparazzo coming out and trying to get a picture, and I just beat the sh-t out of him. I mean—out of nowhere—when my picture’s not even worth…and I’ve spent all my money, so you can’t sue me!
ELLE: Is your idea of hell to end up at age 45 posing with Twilighters at a comic book convention?
RP: I mean, that would be totally fine—if I didn’t have any responsibilities, if it didn’t affect my career anymore. I did a couple of those after Harry Potter, when I was totally unemployed. You can have so much fun. There are so many weirdos there.
ELLE: Have you had many near-death experiences?
RP: Yes, loads. I am the worst driver in the world. Every time I get in a car, I call up my parents and say goodbye.
ELLE: What percentage of evil do you think you are?
RP: I mean, I used to think it was more—around 40. I think I was overestimating. I think it’s more like 3, which is very disappointing. CONTINUE READING!(more…)
Twilight-fans, take heart: Robert Pattinson is every bit as good-looking and thick-maned as he appears onscreen. But don’t confuse him with his brooding characters — the 24-year-old actor is surprisingly open, chatty, and quick to laugh. Pattinson talked with EW last week about his upcoming film Water for Elephants (in theaters April 22), in which he plays a traveling-circus veterinarian who falls for the show’s star attraction, played by Reese Witherspoon. He also discussed what his future might look like once he’s finished with Twilight. “You can never really predict what an audience wants or how to maintain a career,” he says, “other than doing what you think is cool.” But, Pattinson laughs, “Generally, what I think is cool is what everyone else hates.”
Filming for the final two installments of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn will wrap next month, and there’s one thing Pattinson says he won’t miss — the contact lenses he’s had to wear to play Edward. “My God, I’ll be glad to see the last of those,” he says. “I actually want to get some kind of plastic explosive. I want to reanimate them into something so I can kill them. It’s so embarrassing for me — after so many years, it’s still a process every single morning. Everybody else has figured out how to do it, and then there’s two people holding me down because I can’t do it myself.”
