Rob Kardashian is getting healthy…thanks to Blac Chyna.
Giving us the age-old lesson: all you gotta do is find someone to be in a relationship with, and everything will be made better. Right? Right. Anyhow, the Rob & Chyna star talks about his”big-time scare” that pushed him to “make changes” to his body and lifestyle…and got him out of the woods, diabetes-wise. Essentially, diabetes and his weight was the reason he withdrew from the public eye for two years, missing holidays, birthdays and his sister Kim Kardashian‘s wedding in 2014. I mean, no surprise, dude. We knew you lived on Khloe Kardashian‘s couch and ate McDonalds all day:
“I was doing my suit fittings in Paris right before the wedding and I just wasn’t comfortable. There were cameras at the airport on our trip there and I was very unhappy with the person I saw in all the pictures. I’m 6’1″ and at my most I probably weighed 300 lbs. I’m upset I missed my sister’s wedding, but it was a personal decision,” says Kardashian.
And in December 2015, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star was hospitalized after he neglected to take his insulin for his diabetes, which changed things:
“It was a big-time scare. I had found out I had type 2 diabetes six months before, but I stopped taking my insulin. I didn’t enjoy the routine. So I ended up nonstop throwing up and I couldn’t even swallow because my mouth was so dry. I felt like I was going to die,” he tells PEOPLE.
“When I got out of the hospital, I knew I needed to make changes. Chyna and I had a really big talk, and she told me that by having her cook for me, my diabetes would be gone – and it is,” he adds.
Kardashian, who currently weighs 285 lbs. and admits that he is back in an “uncomfortable state again,” vows he won’t ever return to his reclusive ways. “I’m very good at disappearing,” he admits. “But I’ll never go to that place again.”
UH YEAH DUDE. Eat not fast food, and for GOD SAKES take your insulin, dude. Baseline health shizzz.
