Isabelle Caro was recently seen on Jessica Simpson’s ‘Price of Beauty’ on VH1. Jessica was brought to tears as Isabelle spoke of her struggle with the disease.
Isabelle Caro, a French actress and model whose anorexic image appeared in a shock Italian ad campaign, has died at the age of 28.
Her longtime acting instructor, Daniele Dubreuil-Prevot, told the Associated Press on Wednesday that Caro died on Nov. 17 after returning to France from a job in Tokyo.
Dubreuil-Prevot said she did not know the cause of death but that Caro “had been sick for a long time,” referring to her anorexia.
Caro featured in an ad campaign by Italian photographer Oliviero Toscani in 2007 for an Italian fashion house. Under the headline “No Anorexia,” images across newspapers and billboards showed Caro naked, vertebrae and facial bones protruding.
Caro said she had suffered from anorexia since she was 13.
Elizabeth Edwards, the estranged wife of Democratic Presidential candidate John Edwards passed away yesterday, at the age of 61, after a long battle with breast cancer.
Edwards posted a message on her Facebook page in what ended up being the day she passed.
“You all know that I have been sustained throughout my life by three saving graces – my family, my friends, and a faith in the power of resilience and hope,” Edwards wrote in the Facebook post. “These graces have carried me through difficult times and they have brought more joy to the good times than I ever could have imagined.”
“…there are certainly times when we aren’t able to muster as much strength and patience as we would like,” she added. “It’s called being human. But I have found that in the simple act of living with hope, and in the daily effort to have a positive impact in the world, the days I do have are made all the more meaningful and precious. And for that I am grateful. It isn’t possible to put into words the love and gratitude I feel to everyone who has and continues to support and inspire me every day. To you I simply say: you know.”
With love,
Elizabeth
Edwards was diagnosed with breast cancer in November of 2004, shortly before the presidential election in which her husband was the Democratic vice presidential nominee. In March 2007, at the start of John Edwards‘ presidential campaign, she revealed that the condition had returned and spread to her bones, and that she had been diagnosed as terminal.
The couple later became separated following revelations that John Edwards had engaged in an affair with a campaign videographer. Edwards wrote about her cancer and her relationship with her husband in multiple memoirs, including last year’s “Resilience.”
Edwards was hospitalized last week with doctors saying the cancer had metastasized to her liver, according to People.com.
Just yesterday, Elizabeth Edwards posted a message to family and friends on her Facebook wall, stating that she had been advised to stop the cancer treatments.
Today, the wife of the former Presidential nominee has passed away. She was 61-years-old. So sad.
Elizabeth Edwards died in her home in North Carolina today — just days after doctors advised her to stop her cancer treatment.
According to local reports, 61-year-old Elizabeth — who was married to former presidential candidate John Edwards — had been surrounded by friends and family in recent days including John himself.

Shannen Doherty appeared on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ last season to honor her father, who had recently suffered a stroke. On Sunday, she issued a statement saying John Thomas Doherty died Friday at age 66 after a series of health issues.
The ‘Beverly Hills 90210′ alum was eliminated from ‘Dancing’ in March after just one week of competition. But she considered her stint on the show a success because her father was in the audience, watching her perform.
Julien Hug, a former contestant on ‘The Bachelorette,’ was found dead Wednesday along a scenic southern California highway, Hug’s father, Bertrand Hug, confirmed.
Although authorities are “handling the incident as a death investigation where no foul play is suspected,” RadarOnline reports that Hug, 35, shot himself in the head.
David Good, a contestant on the show during the same season as Hug and author of ‘The Man Code,’ was stunned by the tragic news. “My thoughts and prayers go out to Julien’s family. I speak on behalf of myself and the entire group from our season of ‘The Bachelorette,’ that he great standup guy. Julien was always the first to offer to cook food in the house and the one to offer up one of his ‘funny’ jokes that were entirely too long but hilarious nonetheless. He will truly be missed,” Good told PopEater exclusively. (more…)
