Dakota Culkin, who died after being accidentally struck by a car Dec. 9 in Los Angeles, was “more than likely impaired due to alcohol,” Lt. Fred Corral of the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner tells PEOPLE.

Culkin, 29, had traces of alcohol in her system, Corral said, although it wasn’t immediately known what her blood alcohol level was. Culkin, who had recently moved to L.A. to pursue a career in film production, had reportedly just left a Marina Del Rey bar before she crossed the street and was hit.

Culkin’s family also indicated to investigators that she’d been going to therapy for alcohol addiction, Corral said.

Shortly after her death, a manager for siblings Macaulay, Rory and Kieran Culkin told PEOPLE that the brothers were “absolutely heartbroken” over their sister’s passing.

Mexican actor Ricardo Montalban died Wednesday. He died of natural causes, reports Radar.

Known for his role as Mr. Roarke on the TV series, Fantasy Island, Montalban’s career in film spanned decades and included a 1978 Emmy award for his performance in How the West Was Won as well as a Tony award nomination in 1958 for the musical, Jamaica.

Most recently, he gave his voice to Disney’s Kim Possible animated series and to an episode of Family Guy. He had also appeared in Bonanza, Star Trek and Murder, She Wrote.

Bettie Page, the ever-smiling, zaftig brunette with trademark bangs who became one of America’s most famous and notorious pin-up girls in the 1950s, died in Los Angeles Thursday after having her life support removed following a heart attack. She was 85.

“She captured the imagination of a generation of men and women with her free spirit and unabashed sensuality,” her agent, Mark Roesler, said. “She is the embodiment of beauty.”

Page was a 27-year-old secretary when a photographer on the beach at Coney Island discovered her in 1950. She went on to star in a series of sensual and nude photographs, including a Playboy centerfold and some that featured her in sadomasochistic poses.

After disappearing from public view for decades in which she became a devout Christian and was diagnosed with acute schizophrenia, Page re-emerged again in recent years, even becoming the subject of a 2005 feature film, The Notorious Bettie Page, in which she was portrayed by actress Gretchen Mol.

Page’s three marriages all ended in divorce.

TMZ has confirmed the suspect in the shooting death of Mark Ruffalo’s brother has told police Scott Ruffalo died during a game of Russian Roulette.

Shaha Mishaal Adham, who turned herself in yesterday to Bev Hills Police, said she went to Ruffalo’s apartment to pick up her Land Rover, which he had borrowed.

There was a mystery person also present (NOT Brian Scofield, the man who was named a “person of interest’ in the case) during the deadly game.

After Ruffalo reportedly shot himself in the head, Adham bolted and called her boyfriend, Brian Scofield, who called 911.

Shaha Mishaal Adham has been released by the Beverly Hills PD and cleared of any wrongdoing in the death of Scott Ruffalo.

Scott Ruffalo, the brother of actor Mark Ruffalo, died last night after suffering a gunshot wound last week.

Brian Scofield and Shaha Mishaal Adham turned themselves in to the Bev Hills PD yesterday. Adham was named a “suspect” and Scofield was named a “person of interest” in the shooting.

Michael Crichton, best known as the author of Jurassic Park and the creator of NBC’s ER, has died. He was 66.

In a statement, his family calls his death unexpected, but said he had been privately battling cancer.

“While the world knew him as a great storyteller that challenged our preconceived notions about the world around us — and entertained us all while doing so — his wife Sherri, daughter Taylor, family and friends knew Michael Crichton as a devoted husband, loving father and generous friend who inspired each of us to strive to see the wonders of our world through new eyes,” his family tells ET. “He did this with a wry sense of humor that those who were privileged to know him personally will never forget.”

Crichton’s books have sold more than 150 million copies worldwide.

His most recent novel, Next, about genetics and law, was published in December 2006.

He has won an Emmy, a Peabody and a Writer’s Guild of America Award for ER.

Does this story get any worse?  I have an 8 year old son, and this just hits too close to home.  A boy – most likely murdered by his step father – after witnessing who knows what type of hell at home.  I hate this.

A source close to the Chicago murder investigation says Julian King suffered at least one gun shot to the head.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet confirmed the boy is in fact Julian King.

Sean Howard, a spokesman for Cook County, says Jennifer Hudson has not yet arrived to ID the body — but should be there shortly.

Jennifer Hudson is on her way to the Medical Examiner’s office to identify the body of the boy who was found dead in the back of the SUV this morning.

The FBI has said the body appears to be that of Julian King, Jennifer’s 7-year-old nephew.

We’re told Hudson is 15-30 minutes away from arriving at the M.E.’s office.
