Richie Sambora has offered David Beckham free guitar lessons.

The guitarist is a big fan of the L.A. Galaxy star and has urged him to give call him if he ever feels like learning the instrument.

He says, “Beckham is a good guy. He’s done so much for soccer in the U.S.

“He’s such a big name and brought soccer to a different level and its now played in schools. It’s just a pity that he doesn’t get to play more as he’s been injured.
“David should come and see me. I’d gladly give him lessons. I’d be privileged.”

Richie Sambora is set to replace Bret Michaels in the next season of TV dating show Rock Of Love, according to reports.

Poison frontman Michaels recently wrapped season two when he chose wannabe actress Ambre Lake as the winner and his new girlfriend.

Despite the first season being exposed as a fraud – the winning contestant already had a boyfriend – Michaels and Lake insists this time it is for real, and they are handing the show over to another single star.

Bon Jovi guitarist Sambora 48, has been single since his April 2007 divorce from actress Heather Locklear and a shortlived romance with Locklear’s former pal Denise Richards ended last year.

And TV bosses want to help him find love. A source tells OK!, “He’s perfect for TV. If you thought Bret (Michaels) was must see TV, you ain’t seen anything yet. Richie is going to be a train wreck looking for love.”

Richie Sambora has plea bargained his way out of a potential prison term after accepting he was guilty of drink driving in Laguna Beach, California last month.

Facing up to six months behind bars at his arraignment in May, the rocker pleaded no contest to driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher in court on Tuesday. As a result, a DUI charge was dismissed, together with a charge of child endangerment for driving drunk with his daughter and her cousin as passengers.

Prosecutors in the case refused to file the child endangerment charges, despite prompting from Laguna Beach police officials. Represented in court by Mel Gibson and Lindsay Lohan’s former attorney, Blair Berk, Sambora was ordered to pay fines and damages amounting an estimated $1,600.

TMZ.com also reports the rocker will be placed on probation for three years and must attend an alcohol education course.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Richie Sambora has been charged with two counts of DUI — but he was not charged with child endangerment.

The DUI counts are driving with a .08 or higher, and driving under the influence.

We’re told Sambora had a blood alcohol level of .13. If convicted Sambora faces six months in jail.

Sambora was popped March 25 after cops say they saw him “veering over the white painted lines and straddling two lanes” in his Hummer in Laguna Beach.

Two minors were in the vehicle, including Richie’s 10-year-old daughter. We’re told police brass recommended that prosecutors charge him with child endangerment but rank and file cops disagreed and so did prosecutors.

Richie Sambora will be charged with misdemeanour DUI and child endangerment, if Los Angeles police officials get their way. The Bon Jovi rocker’s daughter with ex-wife Heather Locklear – 10-year-old Ava – and her cousin were passengers in his vehicle when Sambora was arrested for drunk-driving last month, and police want prosecutors to get tough with him.

The arresting officers at Laguna Beach Police in California handed over the case to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office last week and formal charges have yet to be announced. Richie faces jail time if prosecutors choose to accept the police recommendations. His arraignment is set for May 7th.

Richie Sambora used the band’s gig in Colorado on Monday night to thank his fans for their continued support throughout his personal troubles. The Living On A Prayer hitmaker’s appearance at the Denver gig was his first public outing since he was arrested for driving under the influence in California last Tuesday.

As the concert neared its end, frontman Jon Bon Jovi introduced Sambora to the crowd before letting him take the limelight as he left the stage. And the guitarist – who was admitted to rehab last year following a battle with alcoholism – used the time to express his gratitude for his fans’ devotion.

He told the audience: “Hello Denver. I just want to thank everyone for their support. Sometimes friends need the help of their friends to get by.” Sambora is due in court for arraignment on May 7th.

Now there’s something for his family to put in their photo albums. Real nice.
