Rihanna is hoping to quash rumors she is dating fellow R&B star Chris Brown once and for all – by insisting their relationship is like “brother and sister”.

The pair has caused much speculation over the nature of their relationship since they were photographed frolicking in a Jamaican swimming pool together last month. They further fueled rumors last month after they were photographed leaving a London hotel together – but the Umbrella star insists Brown is more like a family member than a love interest.

She says, “I won’t say that we’re just friends – me and Chris are really best, best friends. We both started our careers around the same time. He is one of the only people in the industry … I trust and hang out with all the time. “We are best friends, honestly, like brother and sister. If he was a boyfriend, I would say that.”

Rihanna is giving her charity, the Believe Foundation, a boost by holding a mini-tour to raise funds for the cause.

She created the foundation in 2006 with the goal of assisting children all over the world who are in need. The organization provides kids with everything from medical attention to school supplies.

Rihanna is staging a series of special shows to raise the charity’s awareness and give sick kids the chance to have some fun.

The A Girl’s Night Out tour kicked off on Wednesday night at Chicago’s Vision nightclub and she has another two shows set for March 28th and April 9th.

I guess she just secured her ticket to heaven.

R+B singer Chris Brown has dismissed reports he is dating Umbrella hitmaker Rihanna, insisting he is “definitely single”. Brown, 18, and the 20-year-old Bajan beauty have been linked for months, but both stars have continually denied rumours they are romantically involved, despite the couple being snapped frolicking in a swimming pool while on vacation in Jamaica last month.

And Brown claims he has even been receiving threats from his female fans accusing him of lying about his relationship with Rihanna. He tells MTV.co.uk, “(From) a relationship standpoint I am a single guy, I am definitely single. “I’ve been on my website and seeing how girls have been threatening me and saying I’m a liar and I’m like it’s not even that.” However, the Run It star does admit to having a “close” pal: “I have a close friend but it’s not like a relationship, I’m not trying to settle down, I’m only 18 so I’m just trying to live my life and have fun.”

Despite all of the rumors that she’s dating Chris Brown, Rihanna insists that she’s still single.

Sources say that she introduced Chris to her parents on a visit to Barbados to celebrate winning her first Grammy last month. She said, “I’m single. If a good guy comes along, we’ll make it work, but for now I’m having fun being a single woman.”

She said that what she’s looking for in a man is simple, she wants, “Someone who makes me happy, makes me laugh, and keeps me in good spirits.”

Only two weeks ago, Chris Brown and her were spotted getting close at a Grammys after-party, but he insisted that they are just friends: “We’re just friends. We hang out.”

I’m not buying it. And so what if they are dating? Why all the secrecy?
