Ryan Phillippe has given his ex-wife Reese Witherspoon and her boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal his blessing.

Phillippe and Witherspoon, who have two children together, ended their eight-year marriage with a divorce last year. He is now dating Australian starlet Abbie Cornish, while Witherspoon is in a relationship with her Rendition co-star Gyllenhaal.

And Phillippe wishes Witherspoon and Gyllenhaal the best. Speaking to U.S. radio host Howard Stern on Thursday, Phillippe said, “He’s a good dude. I love her and I want her to be happy, and it seems like she is.” The 33-year-old added that his split from Witherspoon was a “mutual” decision. He said, “Leading up to it, we had been spending so much time apart. That’s a huge part of it. There are so many obstacles.”

The Oscar winner tells U.S. TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres that she insists on making sure her garbage is never overflowing or out of control. She says, “I like to throw a lot of things away, particularly at Christmas. It makes me a little crazy when the trash is overflowing.

“I put on rubber boots and I literally get into the trash can and I stomp on the trash. “Sometimes I’ll sneak and look at the neighbor’s garbage cans and see if it’s kind of empty. I’ll wait, literally until the middle of the night when the children are asleep, and I’ll take my extra garbage and I’ll put it in the can.”

Hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon says that she dreads days out at the beach, because she worries about the paparazzi taking photos of her in her swimwear.

The mother of two has admitted that the prospect of her bikini-clad bottom gracing the pages of tabloid magazines and internet sites around the world terrifies her.

She says, “I hate that the paparazzi takes my picture when I’m on vacation: ‘Oh my God, did they see my butt? I hope they did not see my butt.’”

Her comments come after Jennifer Love Hewitt
attacked the paparazzi for taking unflattering photos of her while celebrating her engagement on a beach in Hawaii.

I don’t think either of them should have anything to worry about. Both actresses look great. Don’t you?

Reese Witherspoon hopes her kids don’t get special treatment at school, because disappointment is character building. She hates the idea of Ava and Deacon being protected from the realities of life in a trendy school that refuses to pick winners and losers.

She says, “That’s one of the most formative experiences. I wouldn’t want my children to miss out on any of that teasing and bullying. It kind of makes you who you are, when you don’t make it onto the soccer team. It drives me crazy when everyone wins the award. I remember the two weeks of crying because I didn’t make the team. It makes me interesting.”

Actress Reese Witherspoon brought filming on her new movie to a halt after developing a painful blood blister on her eye. But the actress was more concerned about closing production on the set of Four Christmases for half a day, than her eye condition.

An on-set source says, “Reese kept apologizing to everyone from producers to the lighting guys.” In the film, Witherspoon stars alongside Tim McGraw and Vince Vaughn, who is also one of the movie’s producers.

The source adds, “Reese was especially concerned about Vince’s reaction to her causing the work stoppage. He’s not only her leading man but one of the film’s producers. He was more concerned about her eye than losing a day’s shoot.”
