Nine of Hollywood’s hottest female stars were honored last night at Elle Magazine’s 18th Annual Women in Hollywood tribute.

The women celebrated this year included Barbra Streisand, Jennifer Aniston, Freida Pinto, Evan Rachel Wood, Naomi Watts, Michelle Pfeiffer, Viola Davis, Stacey Snider and Elizabeth Olsen, who received the Calvin Klein Collection Emerging Star award.

The clear winner of the night was Streisand, who picked up the L’Oreal Paris Legend award. Most of the women at the event looked up to and were inspired by the singer/actress’ career. Oscar-winner Kathryn Bigelow, who directed “The Hurt Locker,” called Streisand “a world icon” and “somebody who has mastered virtually every art form imaginable: directing, acting, composing, singing, producing, writing,” as she introduced her on stage.

Fellow nominee Aniston told the singer that she loved her, and Pinto added that she was honored just to be “sharing the same oxygen” with Streisand.

“You’re a legend not only in Hollywood but literally all over the world,” Pinto said to Streisand. “I can say that because I come from India.”

In her acceptance speech, Streisand told the crowd that only seven percent of the top 250 films were directed by women, and she encouraged those in the audience to continue to break barriers in the entertainment industry. “Let’s be bold and don’t wait for the phone to ring,” she said. “Create your own material. Tell me a story.”

This movie looks pretty good… I guess. Romantic comedies usually aren’t my cup of tea. I’m drawn more towards serious movies for some reason (my husband is convinced this means something about who I am as a person). Anyway, I like Reese Witherspoon, even though lately I haven’t liked her movies (her last good movie was ‘Walk the Line’, you know I’m right). I like Chris Pine, I guess…he was good in ‘Star Trek’. In all honesty, I’m disappointed to see Tom Hardy in a romcom. I think he is an amazing talent, he was crazy good in ‘Warrior’. It feels so “Hollywood” to do a romantic comedy. UNLESS they’re really good. If it’s a REALLY good romantic comedy, then I’ll be singing a different tune. I’ll say how genius he was to take the role. Let’s hope it’s the latter.

Actress Reese Witherspoon was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car yesterday afternoon in Santa Monica.

Police confirm that the Oscar-winner was jogging when she was struck by a vehicle travelling at 20 mph.

According to Reese’s rep, the actress is currently resting at home.

Because she MUST be pregnant, right?

Is Reese Witherspoon pregnant? OK Mag thinks so! It’s been three months since Reese married Jim Toth, and the pregnancy rumors have plagued them since the big day. But new pictures seem to show a bit of a bump, even if it is simply just weight gain. See below for new pictures of Reese (leaving a doctor’s office yesterday) – let me know what you think! She was totally at the doctor’s because she’s pregnant, you know.

The whispers that have surrounded Reese Witherspoon in the three months since her wedding to Jim Toth have recently grown louder, as friends speculate that the Oscar-winning actress might already be pregnant with her third child.

“It’s no secret that Reese wants to have children with Jim,” says an insider. “They have been trying for some time now. They are already a wonderful family — the only thing missing is a new baby.”

Reese, 35, is a great mom and said she’d love more children. “I’m very blessed,” she gushed last year.

“I have two great kids… I don’t wake up to make movies. I wake up to hang out with my family.”

New baby rumors began when Reese — one of Hollywood’s fittest actresses — began looking softer than usual. Over the Fourth of July weekend, she wore a shirt over her bikini during a family outing in Malibu (left), giving rise to gossip that her kids, Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7, might have another sibling on the way.

“Reese may be pregnant already. Her stomach isn’t washboard flat and people have definitely noticed,” says the insider. “She’s relaxed her exercise routine a lot — Reese typically hits the pavement for a long run every morning.”

Instead, Reese has been kicking back and enjoying her new husband, Jim, 40, and her family.

“Reese adores Jim,” says the source. “He’s a great stepfather to Ava and Deacon. She knows he does want to have at least one child of his own and is very excited to make it happen.”

Adds the pal: “Right now, everyone’s just waiting for Reese to make the announcement. It definitely won’t come as a surprise to anyone.”
