Carey Mulligan was one of the Met Gala’s hosts last night, and her dress certainly has people talking! The shimmering (almost fish-scale-looking) dress stole the show. She showed up to the event with her husband of about two weeks, Mumford & Sons lead singer Marcus Mumford. Carey’s dress is by Prada.

January Jones showed up in a bright yellow Versace dress. Christina Ricci wore an interesting Thakoon gown. Lily Collins appeared at the Met for the first time in a Collette Dinnigan dress. Dianna Agron was the guest of Carolina Herrera. Karolina Kurkova wore an outfit by Rachel Zoe. Rachel Zoe herself looked scary-skinny, as always.

Rooney Mara wore a black see-through dress by Givenchy. Rashida Jones wore a floral dress by Tory Burch. Ashley Greene wore a white gown by Donna Karan. Elizabeth Banks wore an incredibly ugly dress by Mary Katrantzou.

Jamie King wore a red dress by Top Shop. Brooke Shields had the most-talked about accessory. She was seen using a can as she walked down the aisle, after suffering a foot injury. Solange Knowles wore a yellow Rachel Roy dress. Chloe Sevigny wore a short, black Miu Miu dress. Mia Wasikowska wore a red dress by Prada. Lea Michele wore a navy sequined Diane von Furstenberg dress.

Worst dressed of the entire night has to go to Florence Welch, who wore an outrageous dress by Alexander McQueen.

I think Rachel Zoe went a little overboard on the “Country Western” theme on her son, Skyler, but what do I know?

Mother, hubby Rodger Berman and son were schlepping luggage on Thursday afternoon as they hurried to catch a flight out of Los Angeles.  They were all dressed to the nines, of course!  X17 reports that Zoe always makes sure her one-year-old is always dressed impeccably, and we agree.

Of outfitting her son, Zoe says, “It’s so much more fun shopping for him. I buy him everything! Little linen pants, tank tops and shorts…Seersucker jackets and newsboy hats and Gucci…I can’t stop. It’s like a disease.”

A fashion disease!  Well, Rachel, you’ve made a life on being “sick” with the fashion bug, so I don’t think it’s a huge problem!

Super model Cindy Crawford bumps into celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe as she leaves a medical building.  The two chat for a minute and then go their separate ways.

Rachel Zoe didn’t play very nice with her former assistant Brad Goreski during Fashion Week.  I don’t watch the show, but I thought these two ended things amicably?   Not according to Us Weekly’s recap of what went down during the Marchesa Fashion show:

Before the show began, new mom Zoe, 40, headed to her seat with husband Rodger Berman. Clad in a huge ivory fur coat, The Rachel Zoe Project star stopped to hug and say hello to a woman in the front row — seated right next to Zoe’s old pal Goreski, 34. Zoe declined to acknowledge her old employee in any way.

“He kept staring at her thinking that she would say something to him but she turned her back on him as she was speaking to the woman and then walked off,” explains a witness.

“Brad seemed really miffed by the whole thing,” the witness adds. “He was receptive to saying hello.”

As Zoe marched off, Goreski mouthed “Well . . . ” to his seat companion.

Stylist Rachel Zoe was spotted out with her son Skyler Berman in Soho in New York City yesterday afternoon. I’m sure the stylist is crazy busy with Fashion Week!
