R. Kelly Had A Very Awkward Huffington Post Interview

R. Kelly is Accused of Fraud in South Africa

Trapped in the interview!

R. Kelly sat down with HuffPost Live for a bizarre 20-minute interview on Monday, which makes me think yeah, of course it’s going to be BIZARRE. That’s not surprising. It’s R. Kelly, of “Trapped In The Closet” fame. Of course he thinks he’s some kind of chocolate GOD wrapped in aviators. I mean, his new album is called “The Buffet,” for crying out loud.

The interview is basically the singer asking interviewer Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani if she drank, asked whether she knew what a deposition was, questioned her intelligence, and threatened to leave and go to McDonald’s before ultimately walking off set.

Anyone else getting hungry?

What incited it all was that the “Ignition” singer didn’t appreciate being questioned about his sexual abuse allegations and how theywill impact sales of his album, which is projected to sell 100,000 copies less than his 2013 album Black Panties. When asked how he would respond to fans who were not into buying the album due to Kelly’s controversial history, Kelly’s message was simple: “F**k that.”

“You can’t satisfy everybody,” he continued. “I will continue to do my job until I get fired, and the only people who can fire me are my fans.”

Very sensitive, thoughtful dude. Watch the rest of the interview HERE, and let us know what you think!

R. Kelly facing foreclosure on $2.9 million Chicago home!

Grammy-winner R. Kelly is facing foreclosure on his $2.9 million Chicago mansion!

Crain’s Chicago Business reported Tuesday that JPMorgan Chase Bank filed the foreclosure lawsuit last month in Cook County Circuit Court. The complaint states that Kelly hasn’t made monthly mortgage payments since June of last year.

Crain’s reports the Olympia Field home’s appraised value fell 26 percent in a year, to $3.8 million in 2010. The original 1999 loan was for $3.5 million

The principal due is more than $2.9 million.

The R&B singer’s spokesman, Allan Mayer, declined to comment about the foreclosure. But he tells The Associated Press that Kelly isn’t in financial trouble.

Mayer says Kelly now lives in Chicago and that his recent tour and 2010 album, “Love Letter,” were successful.

I’ve never had to deal with foreclosure (knock on wood), but isn’t a YEAR an awfully long time to go without paying? It took the bank a year to file a foreclosure lawsuit? That seems awfully crazy to me. How does someone go without making a payment for a full year before action is taken. Methinks if this were a regular joe-shmoe, they wouldn’t have waited so long.

R. Kelly is fed up with questions about his child pornography trial

R. Kelly

R. Kelly is sick of answering questions about his child pornography trial earlier this year, insisting he shouldn’t have to discuss the charges after he was cleared on all counts.

The Bump N’ Grind hitmaker was exonerated of 14 charges, including videotaping himself having sex with a girl as young as 13 years old. He faced 15 years in prison if convicted.

Kelly opened up for the first time about his June acquittal during a special for cable network BET on Tuesday, when he discussed the repercussions of the case with broadcaster and journalist Toure in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. And he indicated that he will no longer field questions about the trial in a bid to leave the legal mess in his past.

He said, “It’s time for me to move on. I can’t keep answering these questions. If you were charged with something and found innocent, then you can’t be found guilty for being found innocent.”

R. Kelly to be questioned by police over tour scam

R. Kelly

R&B star R. Kelly is to be questioned over his alleged role in a tour scam in South Africa.

The singer has been accused of profiting $130,000 from a tour despite failing to appear, according to reports.

Local woman Busiswe Zakwe has been arrested for allegedly swindling thousands from investors by promising them they would benefit from ticket sales if they brought an R. Kelly tour to the country in 2005.

Kelly never appeared in the country, but Zakwe claims she deposited the money into his account.

Local police have confirmed the bank account information that Zakwe claims to be Kelly’s is authentic, however the whereabouts of the money is unknown.

Police are reportedly now seeking to question Kelly about the cash.

Zakwe has been charged with fraud and is due to appear in a local court on September 10th.
