Coming This Friday, a 3-D Playboy Centerfold!

The June edition of Playboy hits newsstands this Friday, and it will come equipped with 3-D glasses! The centerfold is Hope Dworaczyk, Playboy’s 51st Playmate of the Year.

“What would people most like to see in 3-D?” asked Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. “Probably a naked lady.”

Although Hefner is not a huge fan of 3-D, he’s definitely interested in capitalizing on the popularity of 3-D at the moment.

“I’m not a huge enthusiast of 3-D,” he said in a telephone interview. “I leave real life to go to the movies and 2-D is fine with me.”

Is a 3-D Playboy Centerfold really worth it? Guess Playboy needs all the attention it can get. It’s been reported that the magazine has suffered huge losses over the last couple years. Circulation has dropped from 3.5 million in 2006 to only 1.5 million today. Hefner is hoping that people will get off the internet, and buy the magazine instead.

“People want things that last and have meaning,” he said.

“This particular picture is one example of how books and magazines are different (than computer images),” he said. “You can hold it in your hands, save them, and as Dad used to, put them under the mattress.”

Man rams car into the Playboy mansion gates – twice!

Hugh Hefner

One man appears determined to crash the party at the Playboy Mansion.

Los Angeles police say a Ventura County man rammed his vehicle into the gates at Hugh Hefner’s legendary home twice in the past week.

Detectives believe both incidents involve an “ongoing dispute,” Lt. John Romero told the Los Angeles Times, without offering details.

Jason Lee, a police spokesman, said no one was injured in either incident.

The unnamed suspect was arrested and released after the first crash last Thursday night, Lee said. He slammed his car into the gates again Tuesday, but fled before police arrived. The gates sustained some damage.

Police did not know if Hefner, the founder of Playboy magazine, or his three girlfriends were at home at the time.

Officials at Playboy’s corporate offices in Los Angeles and Chicago could not be reached for comment Wednesday night.

Melanie Brown considering stripping for Playboy?

Melanie Brown

Melanie Brown is considering stripping off for an adult magazine – despite previously turning down Hugh Hefner.

The singer has rejected offers to bare all for Playboy magazine in the past – but she’s hinted she has since changed her mind.

She tells British magazine Closer, “I was offered Playboy last year and again a couple of months ago, and I did turn them down, but that’s not to say I wouldn’t consider it in the future. I have no problems walking around the house naked or anything.”

Some things are just so wrong…

The founder of the Playboy empire has told NY Daily News that he’s considering becoming a father again – at age 80.

“I wouldn’t say that there’s a plan, but there has certainly been a conversation,” the centerfold sovereign said.

Hef’s personal life hit the spotlight with E!’s Playboy Mansion reality series “The Girls Next Door,” which will begin its third season on March 4.

The show depicts Hef living out his golden years with a harem of girlfriends - Kendra Wilkinson, Bridget Marquardt and queen bunny Holly Madison, who has spoken openly about wanting to conceive a baby with the titillation tycoon.

Hefner already has four children from two marriages, including 54-year-old Christie Hefner, who’s chairman and CEO of Playboy Enterprises.

“I think ‘probability’ is probably an overstatement,” he told us, “but ‘possibility’ is very real. It began as a wish, and now it’s becoming, I mean, on Holly’s part, it’s a more serious conversation.”

Even more shocking to some will be the fact that the man who boasted a seven-woman coterie as late as 2004 has found true love.

“This is the one,” he said of Madison. “It’s fascinating – I mean, with all the years and the romantic adventures and the marriages, etc. – to find something as special as this at this stage in my life is a miracle.”

Hefner got back in the dating game in 1998, when he separated from second wife Kimberley Conrad Hefner. “I came out of it emotionally beat up and bruised,” he told us – and a new trio of blonds was the perfect balm. Hugh’s rebound relationships included actress Brande Roderick and Chicago-bred twins Sandy and Mandy Bentley. “I was dating Sandy, Mandy and Brande,” he told us, “which is like bad fiction.”

The posse grew with rotating honeys, then Madison made her grand entrance.

“I cut back a little,” said Hefner. “I thinned the herd.”

It wasn’t long before Madison was his No. 1. “And the other girls recognize that,” he told us. “This is the one with the future. And this was not planned as a plot line – a variation on HBO’s [polygamy drama] ‘Big Love.’ This was a unique relationship, and then the television show came along. We’re just having a lot of fun with it, and life has never been better.”
