Jennie Garth tells People magazine that even as she and husband Peter Facinelli grew further apart due to his crazy work schedule, she didn’t want to think divorce.  Peter told her last fall that he wanted to separate; she shared her initial reaction:

“I was very resistant. I didn’t want it to happen. It took me some time to come to peace with it.”

Jennie said Peter did try to get home as often as he could (he was busy filming the Twilight movies, plus the Showtime series ‘Nurse Jackie’):

He would do everything he could to fly back every weekend,” says Garth. “[But] it took a real toll on our marriage.”

Jennie is ready to move on and is going to share her new life in her reality series “Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country” – it premieres April 20th.

“I’ve gone through my darkest parts and I’m coming out of it. I’m okay. I don’t know what the future holds, but then I’ve never been a planner. And maybe that’s a good thing.”

Yesterday it was announced that Peter Facinelli and his wife Jennie Garth were splitting up. I was so bummed out! I’ve loved them as a couple for a long time. They used to be a breath of fresh air – a celebrity couple that were still together after 10+ years! But not anymore.

Now we’re starting to hear reports about what went wrong, and unfortunately, there are reports (via Scallywag & Vagabond) that Peter was cheating?

I really hope the rumors are not true, because I love him!

Aw man, this news makes me so sad! E! News has confirmed that Peter Facinelli and Jennie Garth are calling it quits.

“While we have decided to end our marriage, we both share the same deep love and devotion to our children,” the duo said in a joint statement. “We remain dedicated to raising our beautiful daughters together. We ask for privacy and respect during this time.”

Aside from confirming the sad separation, reps for the couple aren’t commenting on details surrounding their break-up, though rumors of trouble in paradise have plagued the couple since last year.

The Twilight star and erstwhile 90210 actress tied the knot in 2001. They have three daughters together, Luca Bella, Lola Ray and Fiona Eve.

11 years!? And you can’t make it work? Bummer…

The boys looked pretty good too at the premiere of Twilight: Eclipse. Though, I have to say I’m not a fan of Kellan Lutz with dark brown hair, he’s much hotter with blonde hair. And while I don’t think red suits are sexy either, somehow Robert Pattinson pulls it off!
