Paul McCartney is getting married……again.
According to People, the former Beatle is engaged to longtime girlfriend, Nancy Shevell.
“Nancy and Paul are getting married,” a source close to Shevell told the mag. “Ring and all – very exciting.”
McCartney, 68, and Shevell, 51 – who hit the red carpet together on Monday night for the Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City – first started dating during the summer of 2007.
This will be the third marriage for McCartney.
He wed Linda McCartney in 1969, and the couple remained married until Linda died of breast cancer in 1998.
In 2002, he tied the knot with Heather Mills. However, McCartney filed for divorce in 2006. The messy divorce was finalized in 2008.
McCartney has five children from his previous relationships, ranging in age from 48 to 7 years old.
A rep for McCartney was not immediately available for comment on the engagement news when contacted by Access Hollywood on Friday.

Heather Mills loves the freedom she is now enjoying since her divorce from Paul McCartney.
The former model – who secured a £24.3 million pay out when she legally separated from the former Beatle in March 2008 – says her life has changed for the better since the high-profile split.
When asked how she is feeling, Heather replied: “I’m really having a great time, totally. Great freedom!”
Earlier this year, Heather – who has a five-year-old daughter, Beatrice, with Paul – claims she gets asked out “all the time”.
The 41-year-old blonde – who lost her left leg below the knee when she was hit by a police motorcycle in 1993 – insists her friends are always astonished by the amount of attention she receives from the opposite sex.
Heather, who is reportedly dating her former personal trainer Jamie Walker, said: “I’ve got so many stunning girlfriends who can’t get a boyfriend. But when I go out, I get asked out all the time, and my girlfriends – who are better looking than me – say, ‘How the hell does that happen?!’ Maybe it’s because I’m comfortable with myself.”

Paul McCartney’s ex Heather Mills was responsible for leaking a bogus story about the rocker’s heart problems earlier this year in a bid to discredit the star.
The former Beatle was alleged to have undergone a secret coronary angioplasty operation in December 2007, after doctors warned MCCartney that his reported drink and marijuana habits had contributed to the health scare.
MCCartney subsequently blasted the reports, insisting he never had such an operation.
And now Mills’ former publicist Michele Elyzabeth has confessed to releasing the story to the media herself – on the instruction of the ex-glamour model.
She says, “Heather instructed me to leak news about Paul’s op in a bid to win sympathy. She told me his procedure was the result of drinking too much red wine and smoking too much dope. I don’t know if that was true, but I greatly doubt it now. Heather had first told me about Paul’s heart problem in 2006 when they were still married. She said his doctor had told him to stop smoking pot and drinking because he was going to die. She claimed he didn’t care and refused to stop. But he still went ahead and had the op. Heather never produced any evidence to back it up, but she insisted it was true so she wanted it out there.”

Paul McCartney has taken his relationship with Nancy Shevell to the next level after reportedly beginning his hunt for an apartment nearer to her New York home.
The former Beatle has been dating American heiress Shevell since last year and is now said to have made moves to purchase a property closer to her Upper East Side residence in the city.
McCartney formerly owned a place in midtown Manhattan with ex-wife Heather Mills – who settled into her own apartment in the city’s star-studded downtown West Village earlier this year.
A source tells the New York Post, “He’s been looking at eight-figure apartments. I think he just wants to rid himself of the Heather factor.”

More than 40 years after the Beatles were banned from playing in Israel, Sir Paul McCartney will reportedly take the long and winding road back to Tel Aviv next month.
Israeli media is buzzing that the 66-year-old legend will take the stage Sept. 25 for his first-ever performance in the Holy Land as part of the country’s 60th birthday celebration. Although the gig hasn’t been confirmed, the official announcement is expected in the next few days.
The Fab Four was refused entry in 1965 amid concern their lyrics could corrupt the morals of Israeli youth. Earlier this year, Israel’s ambassador to Britain, Ron Prosor, sent formal letters to McCartney, Ringo Starr, and the families of John Lennon and George Harrison, that said, “There is no doubt that it was a great missed opportunity to prevent people like you, who shaped the minds of the generation, to come to Israel and perform.”
No word yet on whether McCartney’s allowed to jump, shout, hug and kiss on stage.

Paul McCartney has joined the fight against litter on Britain’s beaches – designing his own surfboard to raise funds for the campaign.
The former Beatle is concerned about the state of seaside resorts in his native U.K. and is backing an initiative by Surfers Against Sewage – aiming to clean up beaches around the country.
McCartney has designed an eco-friendly surfboard which will go under the hammer at London auction house Bonhams in October.
Other stars to have joined the campaign include British artists Tracey Emin and Gavin Turk.
