Paris Hilton swears she’s no doggy diva.

In fact, the heiress – who just wrapped her reality show, I Wanna Be Paris’ New Best Friend! – took to her blog Monday to refute one tall tale currently circulating.

“I read [that I was] walking by some puppies for sale, and demanding that I be given a Yorkie puppy to be an accessory for a photo shoot,” she wrote on her MySpace celebrity blog. (According to the press reports, a Melrose Avenue pet store refused to let her have the animal – making Hilton go “ballistic.”)

“I wasn’t looking for a new pet. I wasn’t even at a photo shoot that day,” Hilton insists. “Puppies are not accessories or toys and I love my own pets dearly. I treat them as if they were my children.”

Hilton’s new reality show includes scenes of a pet adoption shelter, she says, “to spread the word about how these animals need loving owners.”

“It is sad that someone felt the need to invent a story about me throwing a fit for a dog that would ‘go with my outfit,’ ” says the former Simple Life star (who’s getting serious with boyfriend Benji Madden). “These stories have gotten out of control.”

Paris Hilton has laughed off rumors she will wed boyfriend Benji Madden in a joint ceremony with her best friend Nicole Richie and his twin brother Joel.

The socialite recently admitted she would love to start a family with the Good Charlotte rocker and eventually make her relationship with Benji official.

But she insists any talk of a ceremony with Richie and her beau Joel is completely inaccurate.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest, she says, “I’ve been hearing that rumor. But no, I think we both would want to have separate weddings.”

However, she is looking forward to hitting the road with her pal and their respective boyfriends for the Good Charlotte tour.

She adds, “It’s weird… we’re dating twins but it’s pretty perfect. We are all going on tour this summer, so I’m really excited about that.”

was turned away from a pet store in Los Angeles at the weekend after employees refused to let her buy a puppy - because she reportedly just wanted the pooch to accompany her in a photoshoot.

The hotel heiress was on her way to a photoshoot when she stopped at The Puppy Store on Melrose Avenue to buy a Yorkie.

But she was banned from doing so by one of the store workers because they saw it as “an impulse buy”.

An insider tells the New York Post’s gossip column Page Six, “(She) wanted a puppy in the picture with her so it would look cuter.”

And when she was knocked back, puppy-loving Hilton allegedly went “ballistic”.

The socialite was captured sporting a tiny bump underneath her satin green dress while out at Eva Longoria’s restaurant Beso Wednesday night, sparking rumors that she is with child. But those reports are “false,” her rep says.

However, the 27-year-old hasn’t been shy about wanting to reproduce. Since her BFF Nicole Richie gave birth to daughter Harlow in January, Paris has been vocal about following in her footsteps with beau Benji Madden.

“I do want a baby, pretty soon,” she has said. “Not yet because I’m so busy, but next year.”
