Paris Hilton has lost her pet cat after failing to pick it up from the vet. The former heiress dropped Prada off to get neutered at the end of January and when she failed to return to get the kitty, the vet called the woman that Paris adopted the cat from last year. Now, the cat lady, Kris Kelly, insists Paris has lost the cat, because as far as she’s concerned, Paris has abandoned it.

Kelly told TMZ that she even tried to contact Paris to find out what happened, but she hadn’t returned any of her calls. Kelly says, “It’s a clear-cut case of abandonment.”

Like sister, like brother? Paris Hilton’s 20-year-old younger brother, Barron Hilton, was arrested Tuesday morning on charges of driving under the influence, TMZ.com reports.

The younger Hilton was driving a black Mercedes on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu when he was pulled over around 8:30 a.m., unnamed police sources tell TMZ. Barron is currently being booked at the Lost Hills Sheriff’s station.

Paris Hilton famously served time in jail last year for violating probation in an alcohol-related driving case. Hilton was charged with DUI in September 2006.

Paris Hilton may be known for saying, “That’s hot” – but early returns for her new film certainly are not.

The Hottie and the Nottie, a romantic comedy starring Hilton, Joel David Moore, and Christine Lakin, opened Friday to $9,000 on 111 screens, or $81 per screen, according to Box Office Mojo.

By comparison, Fool’s Gold, the newest romantic comedy from Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson, also opened Friday to $7.65 million on 3,125 screens, or $2,148 per screen.

Hilton’s Hottie disappointed, despite a whirlwind three weeks of film promotion for Hilton. She premiered the film in Hollywood and Dallas, appeared in Philadelphia, at Harvard University, and the Sundance Film Festival, and on talk shows Late Show with David Letterman and MTV’s TRL.

Hilton recently spoke about her acting coach Ivana Chubbuck and what she’s learned from working with her.

“Actors are really great if they’ve lived the life of a lot of things happen to them,” she said of the acting method she uses. “I’ve had a lot happen to me in my life. Now I’ve learned to use those experiences in my acting.”

Because the movie is just going to do SO well, right?

Paris Hilton is fighting to turn her new movie, The Hottie & the Nottie into a reality TV series. The former heiress has her sights set on adapting the upcoming romantic comedy for the small screen.

She thinks her show, which would pit hotties against notties in the same house, would be a hit.

She says, “Cameras would just follow them around and see how they get along. They could do things like go to a club. It could be, like, a makeover show too.”

I’m sure people would be signing up in droves to play the notties, right?

Now I really got a laugh out of this one. Paris Hilton’s Hottie and the Nottie co-star Christine Lakin is likening the heiress to pinup and screen icon Marilyn Monroe!!

Christine has praised Paris for her professionalism and grounded attitude and insists the socialite radiates the same star quality as legendary actress Monroe.

She tells MTV.com:

“I think she is (the modern day Monroe). Paris is very iconic, obviously. Everybody knows her name, everybody knows her face, everyone knows her brand. Like Marilyn in The Seven Year Itch… “She had such a child-like quality, and was so funny and charming in her own way. I see a lot of that in Paris.”
