Rachel McAdams at the ‘Midnight in Paris’ photocall in Cannes!

Rachel McAdams, Adrien Brody and Owen Wilson arrive at the 64th Annual Cannes Film Festival to take part in a photo call for their new movie, ‘Midnight in Paris’.

Rachel looks absolutely stunning in a dress by Maxime Simoens. I’m glad she’s gone back to blonde, she had dyed her hair brown for a couple films. She just looks beautiful as a blonde!

Wish I could say Adrien looks good, but what the heck! He looks like a greasy pencil in black! Not hot.

Owen looks great – being a dad really suits him!

Midnight in Paris: Owen Wilson, Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams, Kathy Bates, and Carla Bruni star in Woody Allen’s romantic comedy about a family on a business trip in the City of Light. As a young couple engaged to be married experiences a profound transformation during their visit to Paris, an idealistic man with a romanticized view of the city finds that there’s plenty of truth to that old adage about the grass being greener on the other side. Michael Sheen, Mimi Kennedy, and Kurt Fuller co-star.

‘Zoolander 2′ script completed – movie is coming!

“It’s ten years later and most of it is set in Europe,” Ben Stiller told Empire magazine. “I don’t want to give away too much, but it’s basically Derek and Hansel ten years later – though the last movie ended on a happy note a lot of things have happened in the meantime.”

Will Ferrell is written into the script and he’s expressed interest in doing it,” says Stiller. As for Lady Gaga, the entertainer appears to be welcomed if there aren’t any conflicts of scheduling. Lady Gaga and Will Ferrell were two celebrities that have been mentioned in the mix of Zoolander 2, both of which are considered possible according to Stiller.

The studios will currently decide what step is next. The backing of production needs to happen before the filming will start. Since the process takes a while, don’t expect to see Zoolander 2 until at least fall of 2012.

Owen Wilson involved in Twitter death hoax

It’s that season again! Every celebrity that you’ve come to know and love are going to get sucked into a death hoax at one point in their career or another. Aretha Franklin, Charlie Sheen — and now, Owen Wilson!

OK! Magazine has the scoop:

A faux report from the Global Associated News claims Owen died while at a ski resort in Zermatt, Switzerland.

“Wilson lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed… Wilson was air lifted by ski patrol teams to a local hospital, however, it is believed that the actor died instantly from the impact of the crash.”

The bizarre rumor sounds very familiar to a report that swept the Internet yesterday claiming Adam died in the same type of fatal accident.

“Actor Adam Sandler is reported to have died shortly after a snowboard accident earlier today -December 28, 2010,” Global Associated News wrongly reported.

Thankfully, they are all still with us!

NY Mag skewers Reese Witherspoon’s new movie, ‘How Do You Know’

OUCH! Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson star in James L. Brooks new movie, ‘How Do You Know’ which comes out today. There seems to be a reason why the movie wasn’t screened in advance for critics… the movie sucks. Here’s what NY Mag has to say:

It’s hard to imagine many people will have the patience to sit through James L. Brooks‘ dismally wan rom-com “How Do You Know.” But those who do will need a way to pass the time. My solution was to consider variations on the titular query, until the credits finally rolled. For example:

Q: How do you know when a director has become too cynical for his own good?

A: When he assumes audiences will fall for anything, as long as it fits a formula.

Other viewers, however, may want to start with a more urgent question. Like:

Q: How do you know when to cut your losses and go see something else?

A: When you start to feel embarrassed for everyone on screen.

That moment arrives way too soon, as it becomes clear that Reese Witherspoon has no idea how to shape her performance. It’s not really her fault, though; Brooks (an Oscar-winner who’s been in a slump since 2004′s “Spanglish”) never bothered to turn his concepts into characters. So all there is to Witherspoon’s Lisa is this: After aging out of professional softball, she’s wondering if it’s time to focus on marriage and children.

She won’t achieve either with her boyfriend (Owen Wilson), an oafish baseball star. It’s doubtful Lisa would ever date this dimwitted playboy, but he provides the required conflict when brainy George (Paul Rudd) shows up.

Frankly, there’s no reason George should fall for the ultra-bland Lisa, either. But Brooks needs to push the movie along, so the men compete fiercely, with one offering intelligent sensitivity and the other offering, well, Owen Wilson’s hair. To distract us from this gaping vacuum of a plot, a lost-looking Jack Nicholson wanders through as George’s corrupt father.

Brooks’ shallow screenplay feels half-finished, and he never compensates with additional guidance or directorial flair. So all his actors are forced to flail about ineffectually. Apparently, none of them read the script in advance. Because surely then they’d have known to take a pass.

I read other reviews this morning – not all are this harsh, but for the most part it’s getting either 1 or 2 stars. Again… OUCH.

Kate Hudson turns to Owen Wilson

owen-wilson-kate-hudson

Kate Hudson is talking to Owen Wilson again, now that her romance with baseball star Alex Rodriguez is over.

Since splitting with A-Rod, Kate has wasted no time getting back in contact with the actor. Says an insider, “They hadn’t seen each other for some time, but when things took a turn for the worse with Alex, Kate got in touch with Owen. They are reestablishing their friendship — we’ll see what happens.”

Owen always seems to be available whenever Kate needs him, the insider claims, and they had broken up and reunited several times before splitting for good in April 2009. “They know each other really well. They were talking about getting married at one time,” says the insider. “Their friends also think there are unresolved feelings between them. There’s something there.”

I love these two together, I hope they can get back together.
