Someone Stole Lupita Nyong’o Pearl Oscar Dress!

The 87th Annual Academy Awards in LA

Remember that gorgeous pearl dress that Lupita Nyong’o wore to the 2015 Oscars last weekend? I wasn’t the only one who loved it – apparently someone lurking about the actress’s hotel really liked it, too.  Someone stole Lupita’s white gown, which was made of 6,000 pearls, from her hotel room this week, but thankfully she wasn’t there when it happened.

Lupita was out of her room from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday night and when she returned, she found her $150,000 gown had been stolen!

According to TMZ, the cops are hoping that cameras inside the London West Hollywood captured the crook on tape.

How would you even sell that?  Nearly everyone who would be dying to get their hands on it would know it’s stolen.  And where could you wear it without being detected?  Maybe some rich socialite wanted it so she could wear it while binge watching Game of Thrones and eating pizza at home?
