Oksana Grigorieva, ex-girlfriend of Mel Gibson and mother of the actor’s child, had a scare earlier this week when he teenage son slashed his hand and the paramedics had to be called. Oksana’s 13-year-old son, Alexander (who’s father is James Bond star Timothy Dalton), reportedly put his hand through a glass window late Wednesday afternoon at the Sherman Oaks, Calif., home that Oksana and Mel used to share.

The wound required a significant amount of stitches. Sasha was later released from a Los Angeles area hospital.

“Neighbors heard screams originating from Oksana’s home. Then, they report seeing Oksana running outside the home and into the middle of the street, clutching [Mel & Oksana's 21-month-old daughter] Lucia. Oksana was hysterical and in tears.”

“Oksana was telling people it was a simple, yet frightening, accident. Sasha lost his balance and in the process of attempting to steady himself, he accidentally put his hand through a window.

“Oksana was shaken up at the amount of blood and desperately wanted to get Lucia away from the broken glass. She and Sasha are both doing well, now.”

A decision is close in the domestic violence case against Mel Gibson, according to reports. Reportedly, the former couple will learn their fate around next month.

L.A. County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore says that his department will refer the case to the L.A. County DA’s office early next year. Reportedly, the District Attorney should make a quick decision in the case.

The Sheriff’s Department referred the domestic violence investigation involving Mel over to the D.A. months ago. The extortion investigation involving Oksana is outstanding.

TMZ first reported that the D.A. has been actively monitoring the Sheriff’s Department investigation into the extortion claim and will make a joint decision on the two cases at the same time.

Mel Gibson has been awarded more time with his daughter Lucia by a judge late last night. Judge Gordon has modified his and Oksana’s existing custody agreement and has given Mel a little more time with their daughter. The increase is reportedly measured in hours, instead of days. Reportedly, the increase amounts to a little more than one day a week.

According to the agreement Mel and Oksana Grigorieva signed in May, both have joint physical and legal custody of Lucia. Under that agreement, Mel had visitation rights a total of 6 days — with three overnight visits — every two weeks. The judge has now increased Mel’s face time.

It’s a far cry from what Oksana wanted … namely, to strip Mel of overnight visits altogether and to only give him monitored visitation.

Sources tell us Judge Gordon told the parties there were no winners or losers, but that the change was made for the best interests of Lucia.

TMZ has obtained Mel Gibson’s sworn declaration in the custody war with Oksana Grigorieva, in which Mel admits slapping Oksana because he says she was so hysterical she was endangering the baby … but he denies hitting her. (Is there a difference?)

Mel is referring to the explosive argument between the two on the night of January 6, 2010, which triggered the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department domestic violence investigation. Oksana claims Mel punched her in the temple and in the mouth, knocking out two teeth.

But Mel tells a very different story. According to his declaration, dated June 23, 2010 and filed with the court, Mel says he and Oksana were having one of their frequent arguments at his Malibu home, when Oksana grabbed Lucia out her of bassinet, brought her right in the middle of the argument and screamed, “Stop yelling or you will make her into a retarded brain damaged idiot!”

Mel says Oksana then “spun around,” ran into her older son’s room and then out into the backyard. Mel says the yard is dangerous at night, set on different levels and dimly lit. Mel says Oksana ran across the various levels for about 75 yards, near thorny trees.

Mel says he implored Oksana to bring Lucia back inside, and that’s when Oksana ran back into her older son’s room, and “started swinging Lucia erratically in her arms, jerking her body from side to side to keep Lucia out of my reach.”

Mel adds Oksana was “hysterical” and her “rapid movements were causing Lucia’s little body to be flung from one side to the other, her head shaking violently.” Mel says he feared Shaken Baby Syndrome.

As she refused to hand the baby over and continued with “rough and erratic movements,” Mel says, “I slapped Oksana one time with an open hand in an attempt to bring her back to reality. I did not slap her hard, I was just trying to shock her so that she would stop screaming, continuing shaking Lucia back and forth.”

Mel’s story could establish a defense to a domestic violence charge — using reasonable force to protect a child from injury.

As for Oksana, Mel says, “I did not hit Oksana with a closed fist, as she alleges. I did not ever punch her in the face or in the temple or anywhere else, not then or at any other time.”

Mel admits, “While I do not believe I handled the situation as well as I should have, I was worried about the rough way Oksana was shaking and tossing Lucia around,” adding, “My hand never touched any part of Lucia.” As we’ve already reported, the pediatrician who examined Lucia the next day saw no evidence of injury.

And Mel says, “There was never any blood on Oksana and none of her teeth were ‘broken,’ although one of the false veneers from a tooth apparently did come off, I did not see that occur at the time.”

Oksana Grigorieva may not need Mel Gibson’s money to pay her legal fees if Hugh Hefner get his way.

According to TMZ, Playboy has reportedly offered Grigorieva $75,000 to pose fully nude for the magazine — even dangling the cover as bait to get Oksana to accept. (A little insulting that JWoww was offered $400,000 to pose fully nude)

There has been no word on whether Gibson’s ex, who is currently fighting for custody of their daughter Lucia, will actually strip for the magazine.

The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department has filed legal docs obtained by TMZ … indicating Oksana Grigorieva may well be prosecuted for extortion.

The docs — opposing Oksana’s motion to limit the Sheriff’s access to material in her computer — state, “Evidence obtained from the Hard Drive would be used in a forthcoming criminal prosecution when Detective Wagner’s findings are presented to the District Attorney’s Office.”

In opposing Oksana’s motion, the Sheriff’s Department claims it needs to do a thorough search of Oksana’s computer because, “It is common for evidence to be found on a suspect’s computer and hidden or mis-labeled in a particular computer file.”

Arguments on the search warrant will be heard today at 1:30 PM PT, I’ll update more when I hear it!

Oprah Winfrey, the most powerful woman on TV, was all but powerless against Oksana Grigorieva!

Even though Oksana was reportedly offered big money to appear on other talk shows, she granted the coveted first interview to Oprah (who doesn’t pay for interviews), but there was a hidden agenda, according to TMZ.

Oksana wants to use the daytime talk-show host as a platform to launch her singing career.

Mel Gibson’s ex agreed to a sit-down interview with Oprah in exchange for being allowed to sing on the show, Oprah caved.

Oprah’s people are trying to make the interview happen as soon as possible, but no dates have been set yet.
