In a foot-in-mouth situation, the judge who was responsible for putting former NFL player  O.J. Simpson in jail recently spoke with TMZ about the accused killers karmic balance, saying that O.J. deserved to be in jail because he “killed those two people.”

The judge who put O.J. Simpson behind bars for robbing people in Vegas back in 2007 tells TMZ … she believes karma may have done in The Juice … you know, because he killed those two people.

TMZ spoke with Judge Jackie Glass — who’s set to take over for Nancy Grace on “Swift Justice” — when we brought up the Simpson case.

Clearly, Glass believes Simpson’s guilty verdict was cosmic retribution for his past sins.

Back in 2008, Glass sentenced Simpson to serve 33 years in prison for the Vegas incident … but he’s eligible for parole after 9 … unless karma really kicks in.

O.J. Simpson was sentenced Friday to 15 years in prison for armed robbery and kidnapping in a failed attempt to recover sports memorabilia from two collectibles peddlers.

There will be the possibility of parole after six years, Judge Jackie Glass said.

His co-defendant Clarence “C.J.” Stewart received the same sentence.

Before the judge handed down his sentence, Simpson apologized to her and the Las Vegas court after learning he won’t be able to be freed on bail if he appeals.

Simpson appeared for his sentencing in a blue prison jumpsuit, shackles and handcuffs.

“I stand before you today sorry,” an emotional Simpson told Glass, fighting back tears. “I am apologetic to the people of Nevada. … When I came here, I came here for a wedding. I didn’t come to reclaim property.”

He said he thought he was taking advantage of an opportunity to retrieve items that were rightfully his.

“In no way did I mean to hurt anybody, to steal anything from anyone,” Simpson said. “I didn’t want anybody else’s stuff. I just wanted my own. I realize that I was stupid. I am sorry. I didn’t know that I was doing anything illegal. I thought I was retrieving property from friends. I’m sorry, I’m sorry for all of it.”

The 61-year-old former football star, who walked away a free man after a celebrated murder trial, faces mandatory prison time of between six years and life behind bars.

Before Glass read his sentence, she ruled that Simpson cannot be freed on bail pending a possible appeal.

She told Simpson that this case was unusual because everything was caught on tape.

“The evidence in this case was overwhelming,” she said. “This was actually a very violent event.”

Neither Simpson, who was acquitted of the 1994 slayings of his ex-wife and her friend in Los Angeles, nor his co-defendant and former golfing buddy, 54-year-old Stewart, testified at trial.

Stewart also spoke at the sentencing hearing and apologized to the state of Nevada. He said he bore no ill will toward anyone involved. He asked the court for leniency and said he prays for forgiveness.

Simpson and Stewart were convicted Oct. 3 of 12 criminal charges, including kidnapping and armed robbery.

Jurors who heard 13 days of testimony said after the verdict that they were convinced of Simpson’s guilt because of audio recordings middleman Thomas Riccio secretly made of the Sept. 13, 2007, Palace Station casino hotel confrontation with sports memorabilia brokers Alfred Beardsley and Bruce Fromong.

Simpson’s lawyers called his actions “stupid” and admitted he broke the law, but said they didn’t rise to the level of criminality that would warrant a long prison sentence. They asked Glass to show mercy.

Glass responded during her statements that she believed “it was much more than stupidity.”

ET special correspondent Marcia Clark exclusively tells ET her candid thoughts on O.J. Simpson’s recent guilty verdict, saying justice has finally been served, in an interview to air tonight, October 6th.

“I was surprised by the verdict,” Marcia admits. “[Simpson] has been getting away with it, so to speak, for a long time. By the time this case came around, it was just business as usual for him. He doesn’t worry about what’s going to happen to him.”

Marcia was the face of the prosecution in the Simpson murder trial and authored a book about the case titled Without a Doubt. She calls the day Simpson was acquitted for murder a “miserable day.”

Simpson was recently found guilty of armed robbery, kidnapping and 10 other counts in Las Vegas last Friday — a development that could land him in jail for the rest of his life. Marcia is confident Simpson will serve time, saying, “I think it’s fair to say that he’ll do at least seven to eight years in state prison.”

Jurors donned headphones at O.J. Simpson’s armed robbery trial Thursday and listened as the Juice said “I just want my private pictures. The rest of it I don’t give a s–t about.”

The lengthy recording, played in full, captured Simpson as he gathered with friends at a Las Vegas pool last year and planned a “sting” operation to recover personal items he claims were stolen by former agent Mike Gilbert.

Simpson did not mention firepower during the poolside chat, but the showdown a few hours later turned ugly, Vegas prosecutors say.

Two of Simpson’s cohorts allegedly brandished guns and threatened memorabilia dealers Bruce Fromong and Alfred Beardsley.

Simpson, who has pleaded not guilty, denies he ever saw a gun.

Thomas Riccio, who took the stand Thursday under an immunity deal, made the pool recording on the sly. He recorded the alleged robbery and sold the tape to the celeb website TMZ.com for more than $100,000.

Earlier in the day, Simpson’s defense lawyer accused Las Vegas cops of waging a witch hunt against Simpson.

“They didn’t get him in California, we’re going to get him now,” a Las Vegas detective allegedly said in one of Riccio’s recordings, according to Simpson lawyer Yale Galanter.

The prosecution released 202 pages of transcripts that were prepared to assist jurors.

In one revealing exchange allegedly recorded in Simpson’s hotel room before the memorabilia showdown, the ex-football star told Riccio he once foiled a plot to secretly record an unauthorized O.J. Simpson sex tape.

According to the transcript, Simpson recounted meeting a “beautiful” woman at a Chinese restaurant in Miami and going back to her hotel room for sex.

He said he was nervous because sportscaster Frank Gifford had recently been caught romping on tape.

“So she goes to the bathroom. I’m in this room. There’s a tree and I get up and move it,” he said, according to the transcript.

“There’s a picture, I take it and do something …I don’t realize, I moved four cameras.”

“They never got a porn video,” he said. “I moved every camera. But I didn’t know I was doin’ it.”

Simpson said he later learned one of his lawyers set up the rendezvous for a tabloid.

“Ah man I had all this money for you. I knew you would never do it, but I know your family needs the money,” Simpson quoted his lawyer as saying, according to the transcript.

O.J. Simpson’s former sports agent claims the sports star confessed to killing his ex-wife, and he helped him cheat justice, in a new tell-all book.

In How I Helped O.J. Get Away With Murder, Mike Gilbert alleges he counseled Simpson during his murder trial by advising him to take arthritis medicine that would bloat his hands so they wouldn’t fit the infamous leather gloves linked to Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman’s 1994 slayings.

Gilbert claims Simpson then confessed to the killing while high on marijuana, after he was acquitted.

His book quotes the ex-American footballer revealing Brown Simpson was killed with a knife she opened the door to him carrying: “If she hadn’t opened that door with a knife in her hand … she’d still be alive.”

Gilbert writes, “Nothing more needed to be said. O.J. had confessed to me. There’s no doubt in my mind.”

Simpson has dismissed the book’s claims; his lawyer Yale Galanter describing the author as, “A delusional drug addict who needs money. He’s fallen on very hard times. He is in trouble with the IRS.”

He adds, “I’ve talked to O.J. about it. This stuff not only didn’t occur but it’s not factually supported by the evidence.”

O.J. Simpson is hitting out at reports stating that he is responsible for his girlfriend, Christy Prody’s head injuries.

Sounds like the old “I fell the down the stairs” story to me, to cover up a beating by a loved one.

O.J. has denied claims he was involved in Christie Prody’s injuries. Police and Simpson’s lawyers say the 32-year-old was hurt in a bad fall at a petrol station in Miami.

O.J. is said to be deeply upset at the accident which put his long time partner in intensive care. He’s apparently irate at tabloid reports claiming he’s to blame. “I know everyone wants to jump out and assume this had something to do with me, but it didn’t,” Simpson, 60, told the Miami Herald newspaper.

“She had an accident at a gas station, and she was hurting pretty bad, but fortunately she’s getting better. She’s sounding much better.”

After the “slip”, at Southwest Miami-Dade gas station on Monday, Prody was rushed to Baptist Hospital. Anonymous sources claimed police weren’t convinced that she fell, believed Prody may have been beaten up and were investigating.

But Simpson’s attorney, Yale Galanter, stressed his client was not under investigation and had nothing to do with Prody’s injuries. “It’s crap,” he said in an e-mail statement to the Miami Herald.

If he’s guilty of this, too, then I hope he fries.
