Oh it’s a groaner I know.  The members of NKOTB celebrate Danny’s 40th birthday at LIV at the Fontainebleau by raising money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

New Kids On The Block have just premiered the video for their song “2 in the Morning.” Shot at a mansion in Pacific Palisades, CA, the video follows a feuding couple throughout the house. Donnie describes the concept of the piece as “somewhat based on a very literal translation of the song with a twist.”

Fans of newly reformed boyband New Kids on the Block are in for a double treat this year – the group are planning to release a greatest hits album after their eagerly anticipated new LP.

The 1990s pop stars are back after a 14 year absence and their new record – The Block – is set for to hit shops next month.

But the New Kids are planning to give their supporters a bonus, by following up the album with a new compilation of all of their hits, according to British newspaper The London Paper.

New Kids On The Block sold more than 70 million albums worldwide before splitting in 1994.

New Kids on the Block singer Joey McIntyre went off the rails when the band split – and often got so drunk he would sleep in his garden.

The boyband parted ways in 1994, and McIntyre confesses he would frequently wake up in his front yard after a night of hard partying.

But he insists he always steered clear of drugs – and eventually cleaned up his act with the help of his family and friends.

McIntyre, 35, says, “We all went through bumpy times in our own ways. Sure, we are going to make mistakes, but luckily our close families were there to make sure we didn’t fall too hard.”

“We all had to figure out our lives after the craziness of New Kids ended. I didn’t go to college so I didn’t have that party time, but I definitely had party time where I was going out and passing out on my front lawn a couple of times. Boston (Massachusetts) is a very small town so you can’t get a big head as they keep you down. They keep you grounded. Many of our friends are like, ‘How did you guys not manage to get into drugs?’ That would never cross our minds.”

New Kids on the Block star Donnie Wahlberg offered his teenage son’s metal band the chance to open for the group when they reform this year – and they refused.

The 1990s boyband are back with a new album and a tour, and Wahlberg wanted his 15-year-old son Xavier to join him on the road. But the teen didn’t deem his dad’s band cool enough: “He’s in a death metal band, and he’s told me that the reunion is cool – but it’s pop, so he’s going to stick to his thing. They don’t even want to open for us.”

It’s New Kids fever all over again! Between their Today show performance last week – for which some of the thousands of fans in attendance camped out for 48 hours – and concerts in New York and Boston, the boys are most definitely back.

“I am so happy to finally be able to perform for the fans,” Donnie Wahlberg wrote on the NKOTB site. “It’s really the best way to repay all of you for all of the love you show us.” To prepare for the recent shows, he says, the band has been rehearsing for six to eight hours a day, working out, plus shooting a video and cutting more songs for their album.

“Looking back on all the shows,” Donnie blogs, “I’d have to say that overall things went pretty freak’n awesome!!!!!!!”

But the guys are still hard at work. “Today I’m going to finish editing the video for ‘Summertime’ before I head to the studio with Joey [McIntyre] and Jordan [Knight] to cut a new song,” writes Donnie. “I can’t wait for you guys to see the video, it’s a lot of fun.”

Hitting the road will be, too: “I can’t wait,” Donnie writes. “Seeing [fans] at the shows, autograph signings, or even meeting you in the streets is really the best part of all of this . . . I’m so grateful to all of you.”
