The couple have only been married for two months, and Nicole Richie describes married life as “magical”.

Nicole has decided to take husband Joel Madden’s last name, according to PEOPLE.

“I just went to Ireland, and it was really the first time I was called Mrs. Madden,” she says. “The people were asking me if my last name is Madden, and I was like, ‘Yeah, my last name is Madden now.’ And they were like, ‘You’re one of us!’ And I was like, “Oh, hell yeah I am.’ It’s awesome to be known as Mrs. Madden. It’s music to my ears.”

Nicole is currently in New York, where she’ll premiere her highly anticipated collection House of Harlow 1960 at Fashion Week. She was pictured stepping out last night in NYC.

Her kids are so stinkin cute!

How do we live in the same time zone? My winter is not the same as Nicole’s and we only live about 1,000 miles apart. I’m sitting here freezing my arse off in Portland, and she’s walking down the streets in L.A. wearing a sundress and sandals! Jealous!
