Nicole Richie has been Twittering about being sick for over a week and it turns out the actress has pneumonia. She was hospitalized Wednesday in Los Angeles.

“Sick Sick Sick in bed,” Nicole wrote on her twitter page on Nov. 10 — the same days she backed out of the launch event for her House Of Harlow jewelry line at Bebe. She joked, “Guess you’ll be getting a lot of tweets from me. How many bad tv shows can a girl possibly watch?”

Nicole’s rep confirmed she checked into Ceders Sinai with pneumonia but said the mom of two “is doing well.”

Nicole just gave birth to her second child, a son named Sparrow in September, and has a 22-month-old daughter, Harlow, with Joel Madden.

Nicole Richie’s lawyer has just gone to court seeking a restraining order against the paparazzo who struck her car earlier this month.

The pap — who ironically goes by Bam Bam — was arrested after the crash.

As we first reported, famed P.I. Scott Ross paid a visit to Nicole’s house after the crash, along with a lawyer from Mark Geragos’ law firm.

Joel Madden took to the Good Charlotte website to announce that no, he did not marry Nicole Richie, the mother of his two children, as was reported earlier this week.

i keep getting emails from old friends and family asking about a wedding. NO we didn’t get married.

But he will marry her, he tells Ryan Seacrest.

“Obviously, marriage is in our future,” Madden told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show. “I don’t know when or where or how, but right now our priority is our family and is the baby.”

The singer added: “That’s all we’ve been thinking about. We are in love and are really happy.”

Nicole Richie was being taken to a Los Angeles hospital on Monday after she was rear-ended by paparazzi.  The driver of the car who hit Nicole has been arrested for driving without a license.

“Ms. Richie was driving with a passenger around 2 p.m. when she was struck by two photographers driving in one vehicle behind her,” said Lt. Tony Lee of the Beverly Hills Police. “She complained of pain, and her passenger is transporting her to a local hospital. Her car sustained moderate damage. No paramedics were called to the scene.”

Nicole’s two children were not in the car at the time of the accident.  Nicole also claims she’s in pain, but would not go to the E.R.. She insted opted to see her own doctor.

Soon after giving birth to her son, Sparrow, on September 9, Nicole Richie started focusing on losing the 35 or so pounds she gained during pregnancy.

According to a friend, while Nicole didn’t put on as much during this pregnancy as she did with her first, she’s still eager to get her body back. “Nicole gave in to cravings during her pregnancy, but now she’s eating very healthy,” her pal explains. “She’s careful to get enough nutrients, but she is avoiding all sweets and processed foods.”

Nicole, 28, has arranged to have three nutritionally balanced meals a day delivered to her home, and she’s also breast-feeding Sparrow to burn extra calories.

The star has been working with a team of doctors and specialists whose focus is nutrition ever since she sought treatment in 2006 for an inability to gain weight. “Nicole understands that she has had issues with her weight and has gotten too thin before,” says the friend. “She’s doing this the right way now.”
