Nicole Kidman has sparked rumors she is set to buy the rights to the best-selling novel The Pages – after she was spotted meeting the book’s author Murray Bail on several occasions.

The Hours actress is reportedly desperate to star in a big-screen adaptation of the Australian author’s works, after a movie version of Bail’s award-winning Eucalyptus book was scrapped.

Kidman was set to appear in the project in 2006, but the film was put on hiatus after co-star Russell Crowe allegedly stormed off-set on the first day. nd gossips began talking of a possible deal between Kidman and Bail to reignite interest in an adaptation of his writings after the pair was snapped meeting together on several occasions in Sydney, Australia.

The Pages focuses on the tale of a philosopher who is asked to look at the work of a late academic by his bereaved family. Kidman is reportedly eyeing the lead role of the philosopher in the movie.

Hugh Jackman has decided against passing along parenting advice to new mom Nicole Kidman.

The X-Men star, a father of two, confesses he didn’t like receiving advice when he was a new parent, so he spared friend and Australia co-star Kidman and her husband Keith Urban any tips when they welcomed daughter Sunday Rose earlier this month.

He says, “I didn’t give any advice because anyone who’s actually had kids knows there’s nothing more annoying than all the advice you get on how to do it. You know you’re going to stuff it up in some way or other. Actually the best bit of advice was from the guy who delivered the baby, when my first son Oscar was born. He came in and the birth happened about two minutes later and as he was leaving he said, ‘Congratulations, don’t rock the baby.’ Cut to two weeks later, the baby won’t sleep and we’re rocking it. That’s the only advice I give. Don’t rock the baby because you end up spending your life doing it. But I didn’t give that to Keith or Nicole.”

Kidman also has two adopted children, Connor and Isabella, from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are “in heaven” following the birth of their daughter Sunday Rose, who they call their “precious little angel”.

The new mom and her singer husband are overjoyed with their first child, who was born in Nashville, Tennessee last week.

And the actress couldn’t stop gushing in an e-mail to her friend and New York Post columnist, Liz Smith – who published the correspondence on the newspaper’s website.

Kidman writes: “We are in heaven. Can’t stop staring at her in complete awe. Feeling incredibly blessed to have been given this precious little angel.” And she adds, “Can’t wait for you to meet her!”

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have reportedly rejected several multi-million dollar offers to publish the first pictures of their newborn daughter Sunday Rose.

The new mom and her singer husband are undecided whether to release a photograph of the newborn tot, but if they do it will be for free, reports Australian newspaper The Sydney Morning Herald.

A source tells the publication, “They don’t think it’s appropriate to make deals. They are still deciding how they feel about (it) – if and when they will release a photo at all. But they realize there is enormous interest from the public and they are grateful and appreciative of that.

“Nicole and Keith have been enjoying their first few days at home with their firstborn tot – Nicole is thinking about things like breastfeeding right now.”

Kidman gave birth in Nashville, Tennessee last week to Sunday Rose, who weighed six pounds, seven and a half ounces.

The tot is Kidman’s first biological child. She adopted 15-year-old Isabella and Connor, 13, during her marriage to Tom Cruise.

Kidman delivered the couple’s first child in a hospital in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday.

But the new family will set up home in a gated, five-bedroom, five-bathroom estate in Beverly Hills, after closing a deal on the pad.
A source tells Usmagazine.com, “It’s very modern with treetop and canyon views, and it has complete privacy. They’ve been looking for more than a year and finally decided this house was the one.”

Taylor Swift calls the news about Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s new baby “incredible.”

“Even just thinking about it now, I’m tearing up because I’m so happy for them,” she writes on her MySpace page. “When my mom and I got the news, we just sat there in the hotel room and got so emotional.”

She says the two are “such incredible people. They’ve always been so wonderful to people.”

When Kidman, 41, came to Nashville, Swift, 18, says the Oscar winner “treated everyone with grace and respect, and has always been so humble. I’m overjoyed for them.”

Kidman welcomed Sunday Rose Kidman Urban on Monday. The baby weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces.

After the baby’s birth, Urban, 40, thanked fans for their “thoughts and prayers.” He said their daughter is “beautiful” and that he and Kidman were “blessed.”

New mom Nicole Kidman celebrated the birth of her daughter with her family – after they travelled 9,463 miles to the U.S. from her native Australia.

The actress delivered Sunday Rose – her first child with husband Keith Urban – in a Nashville, Tennessee hospital on Monday morning.

And Kidman’s mother Janelle and sister Antonia both travelled from Sydney, Australia, to welcome the baby.

Antonia tells People.com, “The birth of Nicole and Keith’s daughter is such wonderful news and a beautiful addition to our family. We’re all absolutely thrilled with the new arrival.”

Kidman’s father, Antony, stayed in Australia to look after Antonia’s four children.
