Nicolas Cage currently staying in Vienna, Austria, shooting for the movie `Seasons of the Witch’, which takes place for about two weeks in Lower Austria at Burg Kreuzenstein. Nicolas was attending a performance of Igor Strawinski’s `The Rake’s Progress’ at the Theater-an-der-Wien with his family.

Next to him are wife Alice Kim, and 18 year old son Weston Coppola Cage.

UPDATE: As was pointed out to me, the “creepy guy” in the back is actually Nick’s son, Weston Coppola Cage.  How anyone can tell from the sliver of his face that’s showing, is beyond me!  Even if he is his son, he’s still creepy looking!  Weston is Nick’s 17 year old son.  Apparently (and don’t shoot me for not knowing this!) Weston is really into heavy metal, and in April played a “symphonic black metal” show in Anaheim.  So there you have it!

Nicolas Cage still shudders thinking about his 1989 movie Vampire’s Kiss – because his role required him to eat a cockroach.

Cage admits he has an irrational phobia of insects – but in the film’s most infamous scene, his character Peter catches the critter and pops it in his mouth.

And the star insists he still feels nauseous recalling the daring feat.

He says, “To this day, people ask me about the cockroach – it was disgusting. “I have a fear of bugs and I had to disinfect my mouth with 100-proof vodka and just spit the bug out. It makes me sick thinking about it and, in the theatre, it was the same reaction: ‘Oh no!’ I know the reason it is still in video stores is partly because of that.”

Nicolas Cage has been named the top celebrity comic book geek in a new poll.

Website PulpSecret.com gave the National Treasure star the odd accolade after Cage’s new Virgin Comics series, Voodoo Child, hit stores.

The actor, who changed his birth name Coppola to Cage as a tribute to Marvel Comics’ Luke Cage, has often spoken candidly about his love of graphic novels and comics.

And he took his hobby to a new level when he named his baby son Kal-el – Superman’s birth name – when the tot was born in 2005.

The website reports Cage’s comic book collection was one of the most valuable ever owned by a celebrity.

Kathleen Turner has apologized to Nicolas Cage for “causing distress” by accusing him of drunk driving and dog theft in her new autobiography. Nicolas Cage began libel proceedings against her in London’s High Court last week after claiming her new book Send Yourself Roses was full of false claims about him.

In the book, Turner alleges that Cage went to great lengths to disobey his director uncle Francis Ford Coppola on the set of Peggy Sue Got Married, adding he found himself in trouble with the police while filming.

Turner insists that she had no intention for the contents of her book to upset Cage, or anybody else, and is deeply sorry for any hurt caused.

She says, “I guess what I can say is I’m truly sorry if I caused distress or harm, because one thing is for sure – I never, ever intended to do that. This is what I remember, these are my thoughts and (they were) certainly not intended to damage anyone else.”

So she’s basically saying that she wasn’t lying or anything, but she’s sorry if Nicolas took offense. I dunno, it sounds like a publicity stunt for her book if you ask me.
