After serving 166 days behind bars, Hulk Hogan’s son Nick Bollea was released from a Florida jail around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.

His sister Brooke rushed up and gave him a hug as he exited Pinellas County jail.

Nick, 18, was then taken immediately to his family’s home in Clearwater, Florida, E! News reports.

He had been serving eight months in jail after pleading no contest to reckless driving charges stemming from an August 2007 crash that left his best friend, John Graziano, in critical condition.

He was released three months early due to good behavior.

Brooke blogged Monday that she couldn’t wait to see her brother again.

“I’m gonna make him every kind of food you can possibly think of!” she said. “He’s been living on bread and potatoes so far and I know some Mac-n-Cheese is gonna hit the spot!”

Hey you guys…as you all know, my brothers gettin out tomorrow…I cant even tell you, as a sister, how exciting this is for me! Nick and I are like best friends…and i cant believe how long Ive gone without him…. Not seeing him for 6 months has been really really hard. He always knows how to make me feel better or make me smile when I need it, and its been tough without having him there to hug me just at the right time, or crack a joke when im havin a bad day.

There have been a lot of supporters and a lot of haters that have come up to me and said things that have helped and things that made me feel like I couldn’t make it through another day… Some people wish terrible terrible things on us and say the the most nasty comments that I can’t even repeat on here… It really hurts. I understand people have their own opinion, but most of the people that come up to us don’t know the whole story, or how much we really really love John. Its really sad, because were not bad people….were just going through a really hard time, and so is John’s family. I feel sorry for the people who are misinformed because all they have to go off of is the media, which lets just face it, is NEVER a reliable source. Even the news, when that should be the most accurate…its probably the most far off. I didn’t come on here to vent, and I know this still wont change peoples opinion or what they think about my family. But I know that you never really know, until you actually walk in someones shoes. And that goes in all directions. All I ask, is instead of making this harder, and putting evil things out there, you pray for John and for us, and leave words of inspiration. I know- like I know -like I know- John is gonna walk out of that hospital and things will be ok again. I know his strength and I know he can do it with our prayers…… To all the people who have been supportive- It has helped MORE than you will ever know. I can not thank you enough…..Please pray for my brothers safety too… this is a really tough time he has gone through and I know all he wants to do is show you, John and his family how much he cares and understands.

Reports have claimed Brooke Hogan didn’t visit brother Nick in jail yesterday on his 18th birthday. But she did.

And Brooke tells me she brought her younger bro a nice surprise: a young woman Nick “is very fond of.”

Brooke says she flew Linda Oliver from New York to Florida so she could join the hourlong get-together. Nick can only talk with and see visitors via video.

Meanwhile, Brooke says that she and her mom, Linda, were just a foot away from each other for most of the time at the jail, but they “didn’t even make eye contact.”

Nick Hogan is set to spend the rest of his prison sentence in an adult facility – and will be transferred on his 18th birthday, according to reports.

The former wrestler’s son is currently serving an eight-month sentence at Florida’s Pinellas County Jail, after pleading no contest to a felony of reckless driving following a horrific car crash in Clearwater, Florida – which has left his friend John Graziano brain damaged.

The teenager initially spent his first few weeks in prison in solitary confinement, but was later housed with other juveniles.
But now, the teenager faces spending the rest of his sentence incarcerated with adults – and is reportedly set to move to a dormitory style cell on Sunday – the day he turns 18.

Bollea will spend his time with fellow inmates who are either awaiting sentencing or who have been charged with misdemeanours and small felonies, reports TMZ.com.

Last month, Hogan spoke out over his concern for his son’s state of mind since being imprisoned, claiming the teen had been “unravelling” during his spell behind bars.

It is thought Bollea’s legal team will contest the move. He is set for release in October.

Hulk Hogan fought back tears during a live TV interview on Tuesday night after expressing his fears over son Nick Bollea’s state of mind – insisting the 17-year-old has been “unraveling” during his spell in prison.

The former wrestler’s son is currently serving an eight-month prison sentence at Florida’s Pinellas County Jail, after pleading no contest to a felony of reckless driving following a horrific car crash in Clearwater, Florida – which has left his friend John Graziano brain damaged.

The teenager has been rocked by a series of personal setbacks, including spending his first few weeks in solitary confinement and recordings of his private phone calls to his parents being leaked to the media.

And during an emotional appearance on Larry King Live, Hogan admitted he is seriously worried about his son.

He tells King, “It was like the whole world (was) crashing down on my son. Solitary confinement – most hardened criminals unravel after two or three days. Nick survived in there 28-29 days. I did everything I could to laugh, to cry with my son. I was trying to help (to) give Nick some type of relief because he (was) consumed with the unknown.”

And Bollea insists the leaked telephone conversations may have tipped Nick over the edge.

He adds, “This was the only thing Nick had left. This is the privacy everybody had in prison… and to have that taken away? I was more worried than ever about his mental state unraveling.”

Nick Bollea has been moved out of solitary confinement.

Bollea, 17, is currently serving an eight-month prison sentence at Florida’s Pinellas County Jail after pleading no contest to a felony of reckless driving following a horrific car crash in Clearwater, Florida – which has left his friend John Graziano brain damaged.

He spent between 16 and 17 hours a day in the maximum security cell, but was moved on Thursday after his attorneys demanded he was transferred to a minimum security area.

According to People.com, The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said the move was the “result of routine and ongoing assessments of inmate population and classification.”

He has been moved to a cell with three other juveniles.
