The new issue of Rolling Stone goes inside the friendly battle of the sexes on The Voice, and the coaches, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton, open up about how they really feel about each other. “Just look at the four of us,” Levine says. “It’s just so wrong and so amazing.”

Although the coaches spend a lot of time teasing each other, Levine admits he’s jealous of Shelton’s cowboy cool. “Blake can say anything or do anything,” Levine says. “If I was like, ‘I’m drunk at 4:00!’ I’d be attacked. He’s like, ‘It’s cool, f*ck you, I just shot a f*cking moose, kiss my ass!’ He can say whatever he wants.”

“You have to be a pretty strong girl to stay up in the mix with the guys,” Aguilera says. “It’s a lot. It’s a crazy locker-room kind of situation.” In response, Levine turns to Aguilera and says, “I honestly just recently started realizing that you’re surrounded by three dudes all the time, and that has to be something of a pain in the ass.” But they’ve made some concessions: “We stopped farting in front of her!”

Jessica Simpson showed up at the  NBC Winter Press Tour in Pasadena on Friday, looking great, and incredibly pregnant (with twins!). Apparently she’s only barely 6 months along, and if that’s the case, she’s going to be delivering a toddler in three months. She keeps telling people she’s “due in the spring”, and I honestly don’t even see how that’s possible. Maybe she’s trying to throw us all off her scent? I know every woman carries her baby differently, but she looks way more than 6 months pregnant. Just saying.

Jessica is out promoting her new show, ‘Fashion Star’, which is basically ‘Project Runway’ on NBC. Jessica’s role on the show? She’s the fashion mentor.  Also pictured is Nicole Richie, who will star as one of the fashion judges on the show.

This just in! NBC has canceled The Playboy Club, after airing only 3 episodes! Poor Eddie Cibrian, the guy can’t catch a break! LeAnn Rimes (for once) has been mum on her Twitter. Either she doesn’t know yet, or she’s not talking.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cancellation comes after terrible ratings, and backlash from the PTC for objectifying and degrading women.

Brian Williams‘ newsmagazine show, Rock Center, will take its place beginning Oct. 31. Until then, repeats of Maria Bello‘s Prime Suspect will air on Mondays at 10 p.m. The move to air Prime Suspectin Playboy Club‘s time slot is a clear sign of Bob Greenblatt‘s desire to make the series, which is closer to his cable sensibilities, work.

Playboy Club‘s cancellation comes after the drama premiered Sept. 20 to underwhelming ratings, attracting 5 million viewers and a 1.6 rating in the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demographic. The second episode of the series from showrunner Chad Hodge and 20th Century Fox Television, tumbled 19 percent, luring only 3.8 million viewers and a 1.3 in the demo. Its most recent episode dropped even more, attracting 3.2 million viewers and a 1.2.

The series faced a backlash almost from the start, as the Parents Television Council called for a boycott and urged sponsors to pull out of the show that starred Amber Heard and Eddie Cibrian in a 1960s-set story about the Chicago Playboy Club and the bunnies and men who loved them.

Seven advertisers exited the series in the series’ second week after PTC president deemed the show a “commercial disaster” and called for the network to cancel the “degrading and sexualizing program immediately.”

The PTC targeted the show from early on for objectifying and degrading women since NBC ordered it to series in May.

Hodge downplayed the controversy after Gloria Steinem called for a boycott and NBC’s Salt Lake City affiliate refused to air it.

“I think there’s a perception of the show that’s false,” he said. “There are different brands of feminism and I don’t think it should be boxed into any one version.”

“I think there was a perception that we were trying to do something politically ambitious or make a statement or make this a show about empowering women, which sounds super boring to me. That sounds like a documentary, which this certainly is not. This is more like Chicago, Moulin Rouge andAll That Jazz, Desperate Housewives. This is a fun, sexy soap,” he added.

I watched the first episode, and half of the second. I didn’t hate the show – but I certainly didn’t love it. I won’t miss it, let’s put it that way. I just can’t get over the douchey Eddie Cibrian.  The guy comes off as the biggest creep. The show was too over the top and cheesy for me.

One thing I will say in The Playboy Club’s defense, I absolutely hate how quickly NBC drops shows. I’ve been saying it for years. NBC doesn’t give shows a chance to get good – they simply ax them right away. ABC is better at giving shows a year or two to get good (i.e. Private Practice). NBC should give shows a chance to fix whatever’s wrong! Cancel it after 3 episodes? So harsh!

According to US Weekly, all four coaches from The Voice are returning for season 2!

Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee-Lo Green and Blake Shelton — have signed on for season two of the NBC smash, a source confirms exclusively to Us Weekly.

Aguilera “is very excited” for the next season, an insider close to the singer, 30, tells Us. “It has been an amazing experience for her!” A rep for Green told Us the “Forget You” singer is indeed returning.

(Reps for Levine and Shelton had no comment.)

On Wednesday’s season one finale of the blockbuster singing competition, Javier Colon was crowned the winner after ten weeks of competition. Mentored by Adam Levine, the father of two and Stratford, Conn. native beat out fellow finalist Dia Frampton by just two percent of the vote to win $100,000 and a recording contract.

Season two of The Voice gets underway in early 2012.

You know, I reeeeeaallly gave this show a try. I just thought it was incredibly boring! I liked the audition process (which I usually do on any show) but once the eliminations started happening – the show just got so boring! I didn’t care about any of the contestants, and I didn’t even think they were all that talented!

Anyway, according to EW:

James Spader is in talks to join The Office. Not, however, as the Scranton branch’s new boss, but as the Dunder Mifflin CEO, replaing Kathy Bates, who sources say will exit the show to focus on season 2 of Harry’s Law. “In the finale, he kicked ass,” says a source close to the show. “He was so funny and had this weird energy. We didn’t want to pass it up.”

I love James Spader, and I think he’d be genius on the show!

It’s official! Anna Kournikova has signed on to join ‘The Biggest Loser’ next season! Three current trainers on the show, however, will not be back for season 12.

Producers have confirmed that the 29-year-old tennis star will join the show as a celebrity trainer. Current trainers Jillian Michaels, Brett Hoebel and Cara Castronuova will NOT be returning.

Exec. producer Todd Lubin tells New York Magazine the decision to hire Anna was all part of an effort to reboot the show for it’s 12th season.

We’re “getting slightly away from just the tape measure, and getting into overall well being and health. That’s where Loser needs to go” explains Lubin.

He continues … “She grew up with very little in Moscow, pounding tennis balls every day when she was 5. That’s the drive she’s bringing to the show.”

NBC has killed the new ‘Wonder Woman’ – before it even aired!

Sources say the pilot, from David E. Kelley and Warner Bros. TV, did NOT do well during the test screenings.

The planned series was written by Kelley (‘Ally McBeal’, ‘Boston Legal’), giving Wonder Woman an updated role as a CEO of a major corporation by day – and a superhero by night.

Actress Adrienne Palicki, who was last seen in ‘Friday Night Lights’ was given the role.

According to EW, NBC passed on the show after watching the pilot. It’s not known yet if Warner Bros. will try and shop the pilot to other networks.

The much-buzzed show suffered severe criticism earlier this year when they first released photos of Palicki in a revamped costume. Instead of the hot pants worn by Carter and seen in comic books, the new Wonder Woman was seen in skin-tight shiny pants.

The new costume didn’t bode well with the fans. It was deemed “unpatriotic” because the American stars and stripes were nowhere to be found on the PVC pants.

It was given another makeover, this time the costume department made her pants less shiny, with the stars added onto the sides.

Ironically, Palicki was also set to appear in another comic book-based TV series that was canceled even before it hit the screen. She filmed the WB pilot “Aquaman” as the villainess Siren, but CW did not pick up the pilot.

All I have to say – is it must have been REALLY bad if NBC passed. NBC is home of some of TV’s WORST shows, in my opinion!
