Natasha Bedingfield is ready to walk down the aisle.
The British pop singer, 26, just got engaged to her boyfriend Matthew Robinson. “It just happened,” she told People on the red carpet at a Calvin Klein 40th anniversary party. “But I am so excited, and it happened in New York. And I want to share it with the world.”
Bedingfield didn’t have too many more details to share. “We haven’t thought about a date,” she said. “We’re just celebrating.”
It’s been a whirlwind week in New York for the singer. Bedingfield performed at the Fashion Rocks event and recently teamed with Mariah Carey and Beyoncé on the song “Just Stand Up,” which they performed at Friday’s Stand Up For Cancer charity benefit.
How is she feeling? Says Bedingfield: “I’m the luckiest girl in the world.”

Katie Holmes has already won over her new co-stars on TV show Eli Stone.
Holmes will appear in the comedy series as an attorney when the show returns to the air this autumn.
And the star is already popular with her new castmates, including Natasha Henstridge, who plays Taylor Wethersby.
She tells People.com, “She was super gracious and lovely. And statuesque and gorgeous.”
Henstridge also reveals how Holmes impressed the cast by helping them move the set’s furniture.
She says, “I was literally moving a table with (executive producer) Greg Berlanti at the table read, and Katie came in and said, ‘Do you guys need any help?’”
Jason Winston George, who plays Keith Bennett, adds, “Katie throws down her Starbucks and runs over to help move tables.”

Natasha Bedingfield has vowed never to slim down to a U.S. “size zero” – because skinny women “aren’t much fun in bed”.
The Unwritten singer credits her boyfriend, American real estate agent Matt Robinson, with giving her a healthy attitude towards her body, insisting he has made her love her curves. Bedingfield is also convinced that extremely thin women are not able to enjoy sex and admits she would rather have a healthy love life than a super-svelte figure.
She says, “Matt likes everything about my body. It’s great, the way he sees me. I’ll say, ‘Does my bum look big in this?’ and he’ll go, ‘Phwoar, yes!’ That completely changed my thinking about my body. I could never be a size zero. In fact, I don’t think skinny women would be much fun in bed.”
