Nicole Kidman has turned to her fellow actress and best friend Naomi Watts for advice on pregnancy.

The Hours star is expecting her first child with husband Keith Urban this summer, and has called on her old school pal Watts to talk her through the process.

The pair attended school together in Australia and have remained close ever since.

And Watts, who gave birth to son Alexander last July, is happy to lend Kidman her support.

She tells People.com, “Whenever you’re pregnant, you always call on your pregnant friends and compare notes. It’s what happens in friendship.”

And when asked whether her friend will make a good mother, she adds, “Of course! She’s already a great mom.”

Kidman is already a mother to her two adopted children with ex-husband Tom Cruise – Isabella, 15, and Connor, 13.

Naomi Watts said that she was shocked when female photographers pursued her while she was pregnant. She had tried hard not to react to being hounded daily by paparazzi desperate for a shot of her baby bump. She said that she found it impossible not to react when her predators were women.

Naomi, who gave birth to her first child with Liev Schreiber, says, “When I was pregnant, I really picked on the female paparazzi because I felt like they should have had a conscience. I once chased one. That doesn’t normally happen because I’m not a confrontational person, but they can really hit your trip switch. You feel so invaded.”
