And The Nominees For The MTV VMA’s Are…

The MTV VMA’s are coming up soon. September 12, 2110 to be exact and the nominees have been announce. Lady Gaga has been nominated for an impressive 13 VMA’s.

Eminem is a close second with 8 nominations for his album Recovery.

Lady Gaga had this to say about her 13 nominations.

“I’m so honored for all the little monsters and self-professed freaks of the universe, to have more VMA nominations in a single year than any artist in MTV history,” she said. “Ironically, I’m even more proud it’s an unlucky number: 13.”

“A long time ago the world told me and my little monsters we would never be heard, together we changed the rules,” she went on. “God put me on Earth for three reasons: to make loud music, gay videos and cause a damn raucous. Thank you, MTV!”

Eminem also had a statement, although his was, er, a little less enthusiastic.

“Apparently MTV doesn’t care that I have two massive stadium shows on the other side of the country the day after the VMAs. F me, right?!?! I mean, I’ll be there, but don’t expect me to be nice about it.”

Ke$ha recieved 3 nominations and was beyond thrilled. Here’s what she had to say.

Vintage Jersey Shore! That would be Mike “The Situation” in the awesome white turtleneck above!

Pauly D, Mike “The Situation,” and Jenni “J-Woww” are giving viewers an inside look at who they were before they hit the Jersey Shore in MTV’s “When I was 17″, this Saturday, July 24 at 11AM ET/PT. “Jersey Shore” fans will get the inside scoop on who got banned from their senior prom, who spent 3 nights a week bowling, and what this crew was up to before “GTL” and “creeping on girls” became household slogans. Be sure to tune in to Saturday’s episode of MTV’s “When I was 17,” just a few days before the Season 2 premiere of “Jersey Shore” on Thursday, July 29 at 10PM ET/PT.

The Jersey Shore is coming back for season 3, with a giant pay raise!

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has signed a deal for Season 3 of MTV’s Jersey Shore, and the rest of the cast is rumored to follow soon. While MTV originally said they were going to re-cast the entire show, they’ve now had a change of heart, and will keep all the season 1 guidos and guidettes.

Rumor has it, the cast will all be signing a new deal today, which would pocket each of them $30,000 per episode! In season 1 they scored $5,000 per episode, and in season 2 (which premieres at the end of this month) they secured $10,000 per episode.

“Mike has been packed and ready to go for days for ‘Jersey Shore 3′ and is excited to move forward with the shooting,” his manager says.

As TMZ first reported, the ‘Shore’ cast refused to shoot scenes for the upcoming season until MTV gave them better contracts. SallyAnn Salsano, executive producer of the show, told TMZ they are “committed to the show” and “ready to go.”

After hearing there was a rumored strike by the cast, Sorrentino decided to lead the pack with signing a new contract and is encouraging the rest of his cast to follow his lead and return for another drama-filled season.

“The Situation has always been respected and well liked by the entire cast. He felt that he could break the stalemate by putting these rumors of a cast strike to rest by moving forward and leading the cast to another hit season,” Petolino adds.

Would you like a little advice from The Situation?

Next stop on the ‘Jersey Shore’ Book Deal Express: Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino will bust out a book titled ‘Here’s the Situation.’ In what the New York Post dubs a self-help book, The Situation will dish tips on grooming, rocking the GTL (gym, tanning, laundry — c’mon, folks) and, of course, maintaining those ripped abs.

Sources tell the Post the book will hit this November, courtesy of Gotham Books. Jenni ‘J-WOWW’ Farley and Ronnie ‘No Fancy Nickname for Me’ Ortiz-Magrow announced their own Guido guidebook in March, ‘Never Fall In Love at the Jersey Shore,’ prompting PopEater’s Jo Piazza to speculate the marketability of these efforts in her Celebenomics column.

Just what the world needs! A Guido-How-To book!

Here it is! The trailer for Season 2 of ‘Jersey Shore’

Okay, I watched the whole trailer, and I’m not gonna lie – I think it looks fantastical. I will totally watch it! I’ll probably hate myself along the way, but I know I’m going to watch it – and I’m gonna like it!

Jersey Shore headed to Miami after New Jersey was hit with one of the worst snow storms in history. Who wants to watch Jersey Shore if everyone’s bundled up in winter wear? No one!

The season premieres July 29, so mark it on your calendar to make sure you can pretend you’re too busy to watch it while secretly recording it.
