Between all the drinking, fights and hook-ups, it’s not easy being a female housemate on Jersey Shore. But the hit MTV series struck gold when it cast the newest roommate, Deena Nicole Cortese, who was already friends with star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. On and off camera the two are double trouble! “The most guys I’ve hooked up with in one night is probably three,” Deena tells Life & Style.

“People consider me a man-eater,” the 23-year-old party girl from New Egypt, N.J. says. “I don’t really like dating, though. Dates can be so awkward!” Instead, the 5-foot-Jersey girl likes to make out when she’s drunk with guys she describes as “lean cuisines.”

“They’re guys who have nice muscles on them but aren’t too big. They go to the gym, but they’re not juiced-up. Pauly D would be a lean cuisine. Mike too, not Ronnie.” And while the guys already have a motto on the show—GTL, for gym, tanning, laundry—Deena is coming into season three, premiering on Jan. 6, with her own! “Mine is GTS — for gym, tanning, shopping. Or GTD — gym, tanning, drinking.”

On Dec. 28th, Amber Portwood emerged from the Madison County jail in Anderson, Ind. visibly shaken and certain she never wants to go back behind bars. “I just can’t even imagine not seeing my little baby if I go back to jail,” the Teen Mom star and mother to 2-year old Leah told Life & Style in her first post-jail interview right outside the brick walls. “It scares me so bad.”

But it’s a very real possibility for Amber. She’s been charged with two counts of domestic battery, one count of neglect of a dependent and one misdemeanor charge of domestic battery for beating her ex and Leah’s father, Gary Shirley, during an episode of MTV’s hit reality show. If convicted, she could be ordered to serve three years in prison and pay a $10,000 fine—which has her second-guessing her decision to sign on to the show in the first place.

In fact, she admits that having her dirty laundry air on TV has for all intents and purposes ruined her life. “I wouldn’t have been in jail because nobody would have known about it,” she told Life & Style. And her family seems to agree. “Before that scene of her hitting Gary aired, she didn’t have problems,” her brother Shawn Portwood tells Life & Style. “I can’t say completely that it’s the show’s fault because obviously my sister did it. But Amber and Gary asked them not to air the fight because they knew this legal stuff would happen. Now my sister gets death threats, and my niece’s life is in turmoil.”

This just makes me crazy. She blames MTV for video taping it? She’s upset because her abuse was caught on camera – and MTV played it?  Does this make any sense? The only person Amber can blame – is AMBER. Cry me a river. If she hadn’t assaulted Gary, she wouldn’t have been in jail. Thank God MTV was there – and able to catch her in the act. Maybe now she can be held accountable for something!

It amazes me how much reality TV “stars” are paid to act like idiots on national TV.  There is a rumor floating around the internet today that Amber Portwood – the felony-facing ‘Teen Mom‘ at the center of a very public legal battle – is being paid six figures by MTV.

Would MTV really pay Amber six figures!? According to E!… YES THEY ARE.

While in court this week to face up to the three felony and one misdemeanor charges argainst her for domestic violence and neglect (quite an example, eh, kids?), Portwood was asked some standard questions by the judge, including listing her occupation and salary.

Despite the objections of her attorney, Portwood was forced to reveal that she makes a whopping $280,000 per year for her MTV-airing shenanigans.

Let’s take a moment and let that figure sink in.

Broken down, Portwood told the judge that she makes $140,000 per six-month contract with the cable net, and plans on working with them for the full year.

Which explains how she was able to post that $5,000 bail so quickly.

True, that kind of bank may undercut MTV’s attempts at showing a real, struggling teen mom, but on the other hand, think of all the anger management classes she can afford! Win-lose.

Presumably (hopefully) the majority of the money is going into a fund for Portwood’s 2-year-old daughter Leah, since she and her Teen Mom brethren at least appear to be broke or close to it on the show.

Or maybe they just haven’t cashed the check yet? In any case, MTV knows a good thing when they see it, as Teen Mom is the second-most-watched show on the channel, behind (yep) Jersey Shore.

While earlier this year, reports circulated that the girls involved in the show made somewhere between $60,000-$65,000 per 11-episode season, that is clearly no longer the case. Or maybe Portwood finally managed to activate her infamy clause.

This story just makes me so sad. As soon as I read it, my heart dropped. Markai Durham, whose pregnancy was chronicled in the latest season of ’16 & Pregnant’ has since gotten pregnant again – and has had an abortion. MTV has dedicated a new show ‘No Easy Decision’ on her second pregnancy, and her decision to abort it.

After chronicling her ups and downs as a teen mom on MTV’s wildly successful reality show 16 & Pregnant, Markai Durham will take viewers with her as she decides to abort her second pregnancy in a special episode on the network called No Easy Decision.

In advance of the show’s Tuesday premiere, Durham opened up about the controversy surrounding the show on her Facebook page.

“My motive for this episode is to not say ‘hey look at me I got pregnant again.’ But to encourage you all to stand up for each other. To respect one another to feel each other’s sympathy and pain. One thing we can all agree on is no one is pro-abortion! (no one with a heart at least) No one wants to have an abortion or even go through this type of procedure,” Durham wrote.

Airing Tuesday, December 28 at 11:30 pm, the show has received critical heat from pro-life circles and from critics of MTV who say the network glamorizes teen pregnancy. Durham added that the reason she went public with her decision was to shed light on the judgment women who have an abortion suffer through.

“I didn’t make this public because I thought your opinions mattered. I didn’t make this public because I thought you would respect me. I could have easily not told a soul and kept you all thinking I’m just another girl on 16 & Pregnant. I made this public so you all can see how disrespectful people can be because of a decision they feel was right for them.”

The episode also features Dr. Drew Pinsky who will counsel the teens on the show.

TMZ has obtained the mug shot of “Teen Mom” Amber Portwood — taken moments after she was arrested in Indiana for allegedly beating the crap out of her baby daddy … in front of their daughter.

According to Amber’s booking sheet — the 20-year-old measured in at 5’3″, 138 lbs.

Amber was charged with two felony counts of domestic battery, one felony count of neglect of a dependent, and one misdemeanor count of domestic battery.

As TMZ previously reported, Amber allegedly attacked Gary Shirley three separate times between August 2009 and July 2010.  Some of the violence was captured on video.

Amber faces three years behind bars and up to $10,000 in fines if convicted on all charges.
